The Series didn't really hook in me so I won't be reading the rest of them!

A bit of a dull ending(if i'm honest), but a nice set-up for the next season! Fingers crossed!

A surprisingly uplifting end to a season full of struggle and pain. ...Or is it?

Seeyah has come a long way since her first POV chapter. I used to dread reading them, but this one was really enjoyable. I think she's shown the most growth out of everyone left in the camp. This was a great finale to this season and leaves it wide open for season 3. The pacing was good here, the story was well-written, and engrossing. I would recommend this entire series. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This episode is from Seyha’s pov, and I must say, she’s growing on me. When her and Holden first ended up being remade, she drove me absolutely nuts. Some of the kids STILL drive me nuts! But Seyah has grown up a lot in her time since being remade. This episode starts out with her putting herself in danger in hopes to keep the danger away from the camp and her friends. Unfortunately, Seyah’s partner for look-out that night, wasn’t so lucky. We don’t see what actually happens to Amelia, but it can be deduced pretty easily. And in one statement Amelia endeared herself to me as well. Knowing that she was in a lose situation, she tells Seyah to run, she doesn’t want Seyah to get caught too. Too bad Amelia hadn’t been a better judge of character about who she decided to ‘run around with’, as Sebastian instantly became someone I would fear of becoming a homicidal maniac. Great, another Cole, just what the group needs.

The kids are getting closer to the gate, and the closer they get, the more dangerous it becomes. The Caretakers are all on their way there too. It’s one of these happenstance encounters that leaves Amelia gone, and Seyah with an injury so severe she fears she will need to send the group on without her, as she doesn’t want to be a burden and understands that what’s going on is bigger than her (way to adult Seyah!). And again, I’m left with frustrations as to how much the Keepers have put themselves out there for this small group of kid survivors, and how little appreciation they seem to get in return. Sparky was the hero of the day (again) in this one. I hope that dude gets a freaking metal with this is all said and done!

At the end of this episode we get an ocean of caretakers, a decimated Chicago landscape…and a spaceship. Definitely looking forward to the next episode.
