This novel is incredibly engaging. It is well written, draws you in from the beginning and immediately develops compassion for the main character.

Reading this book can give us a great understanding of what it is like to battle an addiction. Although it's a novel, it feels very accurate. Brilliant author, well written book with a wonderful story, I'd recommend this book to anyone!

After reading this, I was surprised on how much I actually liked this novel. Yes, it's about alcoholism, but it's also about family and having a really crap time. We get caught up and weighed down in the day to day. Audrey and her husband have been going through the motion now for years until her drinking causes the family problems. The novel isn't just about being a drunk it's about how we loose ourselves and learn to accept we are not perfect nor our we without flaws. Audrey has to hit her rock bottom before she can open her eyes to a different future and begin to live in the moment. Her kids are wonderful characters and you will fall in love with her autistic son so be prepared to cry, laugh, and learn a nice lesson about judging others so easily.
