Brooklyn and Derrick are getting married! There are a million things to do to get ready, like spending time with the family, picking out attendant gifts, and oh yes, solving a murder. Once again what should be a time of celebration turns in to something more as Brooklyn prepares to give a workshop at a national library conference, only to meet up with old friends who may not be as they seem. Family and friends drop in to add to the drama, and offer advice was we wait to see if Brooklyn will actually make it down the aisle in this latest installment. Carlisle's Bibliophile Mystery series is a winner, with suspense, humor, love, and action seamlessly woven together to keep you reading until the last page.

This is another delightful book in the Bibliophile Mystery series! Brooklyn is a great main character and her friends and family are an entertaining bunch. The mystery was well crafted, and of course, about a book.

Extraordinarily well written cozy. Great atmosphere and pacing.

I have been a fan of this light cozy series by Kate Carlisle from the first book. As a librarian, how could I resist a series named for bibliophiles? Each book presents a mystery dealing with a rare or unusual book and delves into the art of bookbinding with an emphasis on preservation. Also key, as heroine Brooklyn Wainwright explains, is the truth that some books are worth dying for.

This axiom has led Brooklyn to have an unfortunate propensity for finding dead bodies and feeling compelled to find justice for the victims. Buried in Books is highly descriptive of the actual murder in this entry, a murder that comes at an inauspicious time for Brooklyn as she prepares to marry love of her life, international security specialist Derek Stone. A librarians' convention makes a perfect backdrop for the mystery involving the death of Brooklyn's college roommate and a trio of likely suspects.

Despite running across dead bodies on a regular basis, the rest of Brooklyn's life is pretty perfect, loving boyfriend, madcap family, supportive friends. In fact, that perfection can get to be a bit too much. Of course, this is light mystery and deep angst wouldn't be appropriate. And, after 12 books, Kate Carlisle seems to have hit upon a winning formula. I look forward to Brooklyn's future adventures.

One of my favorite cozy mysteries that never disappoints, and I always look forward to see what’s happening with Brooklyn and Dexter. The plots are always good, even sometimes quirky with the added bonus of Brooklyn restoring rare books for a living. I’ve learned so much information about the restoration of old books, as well as different ways to create new artistic books.
In this addition, Brooklyn and Dexter are getting married at the end of the week and both sets of families are in town for the big event. But first Brooklyn has to honor her commitments teaching and speaking at the week long book convention, where she also runs into two old dear friends she hasn’t seen for twelve years. Of course there’s a murder that has to be solved as well. Never dull, always fun, I’m already looking forward to the next installment.
