Any time Shelly Laurenston puts out a new book I'm immediately excited for it, but this one I was even more excited then usual because this is a whole series about Honey Badgers!! My favourite characters from the other books are the Honey Badgers, they are completely batshit crazy and hilarious. And I could read 100 books about them. This series starts with Charlie, who's the oldest of 3 honey badger sisters, and Berg a 1000 pound grizzle shifter. We jump right into the action from page 1 and we don't slow down through the whole book. Its fast-pasted and engaging, pulling you in to the crazy family that is the MacKilligan's. Charlie and Berg were super cute, the build up was a little slow but once they got together it well worth the wait. Berg was a very chill character and he was definitely a good match for Charlie, he understood how her sisters would always be a huge part of her life and was okay with sharing her. Charlie was a badass and she very much stole the show for me. She is someone I would kill to have on my side in any situation cause she'd handle that shit no matter what it was.
This is a action packed, hilarious shifter romance that I can't recommend enough. The storyline is on going so although I wouldn't say this one ends on a cliffhanger there's still a lot of stuff to resolve with the next books. I don't know if Max or Stevie's book will be next but it doesn't matter because I can't wait to read either one, though I'm pretty sure Max and Stevie's guys are going to have to be a very interesting people to handle them lol

Well written and enjoyable story set in the Pride universe.

As always Laurenston's writing had me laughing out loud, and the plot was fast paced and entertaining, however the central romance fell a bit flat and I never really liked the heroine Charlie as much as I have previous main characters.

Charlie has always protected her sisters. She has their back but they also have hers. They are just different. So when danger follows will Charlie trust the bear who is determined to help?
Honey and Badgered is the first in a new series by Shelly Laurenston. I thoroughly enjoyed the crazy that is Charlie and her sisters. They had me in stitches. I am not quite sure if there is enough sisterly love in the world for Stevie and Max’s antics. But Charlie loves, understands and corrals them as best she can. Ban Berg was willing to help. I adored Berg. He was so chill that he could accept the crazy of Charlie and her sisters. I love that Ms. Laurenston balanced their crazy with Berg’s chill. That is not to say his family was moral exactly but comparatively well….they were. I love that Berg snuck under Charlie’s radar. She wasn’t looking for love. Didn’t believe her family would allow for it. But Berg was a steady influence and rock solid in his determination. I thoroughly enjoyed this series by Ms. Laurenston. She had me in tears (from laughing)! I loved seeing Charlie find someone who loved her not in spite of her family but because of her. I can’t wait to return to this wacky and fun world Ms. Laurenston has created.

At first I wasn't sure about it. It was chaos everywhere with these sisters, but eventually they grow on you and you do an eye roll and move on. The story is cute, but their dad should be dead by now. I dislike him immensely. Overall it was a good book, and I admit to curiosity of finding out what will happen next

Shelly Laurenston is one of my all time favorite authors. Her books keep me laughing! The MacKilligans are a wonderful addition to her shifter world I can't wait for the next book in this series. When I am in desperate need of anescape from reality I turn to Shelly's books. I always by to hard copy and the audible so I can have access where ever I am! Her stories are 100% worth the money.

Hot and Badgered was OMG awesome! I’ve come to adore Shelly Laurentson’s shifter books and eagerly await for her to publish one every year. After Livi’s book, I knew I wanted more honey badgers because they’re hilariously snarky, diabolical, and indestructible. This first book in her new spin-off series was well worth the wait! Berg and Charlie were so sweet and considering they’re a bear and a honey badger-wolf that made it even more funny. I loved everything about this story! I loved their siblings and the familial relationships they had and formed. Charlie’s sisters were… I think I peed a little laughing at their antics. I can’t wait for the next one!

This was wacky and silly and fun, but I think I was anticipating a bit more insta-romance rather than a slow burn for this one. I did enjoy the sister relationship, but I wish the romance had caught my attention the same way. There were also times I had difficulty keeping track of who was who due to the sheer size of the cast of characters. Both of those things really prevented me from being able to fully enjoy this one, which is kind of a shame because I've never read this author before and I keep hearing good things about her. Maybe I need to dive into a different series?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Honey badger don’t care! Laurenston returns to her world of shapeshifters with the first of a new series featuring three honey badger half-sisters. The eldest Charlie has been protecting her sisters since their mother died but this time she could use some help. Berg Dunn is a grizzly bear shifter and private security specialist with a big heart and huge case of love at first sight. This has all the quirky humor of the previous books plus cameos by her readers’ favorite characters—hockey players, chefs, dead-eyed assassins, and more. It’s a crazy, fun, ride.

Hot and Badgered, by Shelly Laurenston is a captivating and highly entertaining paranormal action-suspense romance.

Berg Dunn, body guard and grizzly bear shifter, meets Charlie MacKilligan when she literally falls onto his hotel balcony. As a honey badger and wolf shifter, Charlie is trying to simply survive, while protecting her two sisters and herself from a deadly enemy. Charlie and her two half-sisters, yet full family love, are constantly arguing and dealing with drama. The adventurous shifter sisters seem to always attract trouble.

Berg and Charlie's first unusual interaction becomes typical of their unique relationship, which is enhanced by their random collection of friends and family members. And the younger sister’s reaction to a panda bear shifter is one of the best moments! This book focuses on the main couple, yet the other characters are integral to the story...a sometimes violent story that's still full of humor.

It's the first book in The Honey Badgers series, and I'm looking forward to reading more of the series, as soon as the next book is released. :)

Hot and Badgered is recommended and geared towards those who enjoy reading unique paranormal action-suspense romances.

Hot and Badgered is the first book in Shelly Laurenston’s Honey Badger series and I am so glad to see her return to her roots with the Badger series. I cant wait to read more from Ms. Laurenston in this series if they are all as funny as book 1.
In book 1, we are introduced to he MacKilligan sisters, Charlie, Max and Stevie, the sisters are hybrid shifters who each have different mothers/breeds but share the same criminal honey shifter dad. This is Charlie’s book and we get to know all about Charlie while also getting to know about her family and the dysfunction that rules it. Charlie is the oldest of her sisters and the one who is super protective over her sisters. We meet Berg, the bear who happens to be Charlie’s mate and how he steps in and helps Charlie in her times of need. Their love story is zany and so cute!! There are TONS of secondary characters that make appearances in this book, including fan favorites from the other series by the author and I cannot wait for the next book to see who else shows up. I hope we get Max’s story next because she is insanely funny as well as insane (smile). This is such a fun read, full of action, laughs and shifter fun.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

I Enjoyed this book a lot! I Love Shelly Laurenston’s pride series and was really excited to start on the Honey Badger series because her work is always fun and fast paced, with adventure and always has a great HEA.

The prologue and first chapter really catch your attention and keep you holding your breath. The next couple chapters A lot of characters and information are kinda thrown at you, but just power through it, i promise it gets easier to tell who is who as the story goes on!

The Honey Badgers are 3 sisters who are tough, hilarious and all around ride or die sisters who are super fun and relatable. The Hero, Berg, is a bear shifter who is a triplet and they are all very laid back and caring.

Charlie and berg are a cute couple, their story is very cute and easy and i would say it takes a bit of a backseat to all the fun action going on in the rest of the story. Personally i would have liked more of their story, it all just seemed too easy in all the crazy of what was going on, but also, Easy is sort of what Charlie needs in her life, so it works.

Also fun is you get some fun Cameos of other characters from the pride series, so that is a plus for anyone who wants to catch up with the gang.

I can’t wait to see what happens next for the other two sisters!

There is nothing better than reading a Shelly Laurenston shifter romance. Anytime anyone wants a good read with many laughs (some include snorting and full out laughing till tears), this is the book to grab! I can't imagine humor is easy to write but Shelly does it amazingly well. Charlie, Max and Stevie are three stepsisters who fight, yell but protect each other no matter what. Characters from Shelly's other shifter books were present and what a hoot! I loved Berg and his siblings. All were written so well with distinct personalities that worked perfectly with the story. I can't wait for the next book...so many characters could (and hopefully will) get their own stories!

So, so, so, good! The first badger book was different than the rest of the shifter books but still very enjoyable. This is definitely a Shelly book, with the comedy. Charlie and Berg are a great couple, she and her sisters are a little crazy but so much fun. I can't wait to read Max and/or Stevie's book, whoever is next. Its going to be fun.

Hot and Badgered is the 1st book in the Honey Badgers series. This is a spin off of the other shifter series, and if you've read those books you will get to see a lot of favorites in this book. I loved this book, and had a difficult time putting it down. I always know that when I pick up a book by Shelly Laurenston I am in for a fun ride, this book had me laughing hysterically, I was at an appt reading on my phone and people were looking at me like I was crazy. This was an awesome start to this series. There are a mess of secondary characters that I absolutely cannot wait for their stories!!
So I really enjoyed Charlie and Berg and both of their siblings. I really enjoyed the chemistry between them. I like this authors books because they are fun, they give you romance, you get that hot and steamy, but not overboard, you get updates on previous books characters, you get a storyline and at the end you can't wait for the next book. I can't wait to see which character gets the next book-- though I do sort of hope it's Stevie and that she ends up with Shen! Don't worry that's not a spoiler. Just something I'd like to see. Hopefully there will also be a bear spinoff because now that Charlie, Stevie and Max are living in a bear neighborhood and those characters have been introduced especially Berg's siblings Dag and Britta it would be a shame not to get bears! So much I could go on and on about with this book. Bottomline, I loved the book, can't wait for the next. Always know I will get a good laugh, and a good story from this author. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

Shelly Laurenston once again delivers steamy, madcap action that had me laughing and cheering. I'm honestly not sure whether I loved the honey badgers or the bears more - it's hard not to love someone who both bakes and violently kicks ass even without her glasses on, or big, mostly polite bears who are perfectly willing to break and enter if there's baking up for grabs. This is definitely one of my favourites from this author, and going on my list of things to re-read when I need a good laugh

Another great Shelly Laurenston paranormal romance! Just the right amount of edgy, witty snark! Complete with hot males, powerful females, and a great reunion with old favorites from previous novels. Definitely a must-read for anyone looking for a fun, fast, fabulous romp!

Hot and Badgered is the first book in Shelly Laurenston’s Honey Badger series and if the rest of the series continues to be as hilarious as this book I will definitely need to stock up on Depends due to uncontrollable laughter while reading.

We are introduced to the MacKilligan sisters, Charlie, Max and Stevie, the sisters are hybrid shifters who each have different mothers/breeds but share the same honey shifter dad. The women may be different mixes of honey badger hybrids, one is full honey badger, and each has their own brand of crazy but they all love each other....most of the time. I absolutely love all three of them and their interactions with each other. Stevie and Max steal the scene many times with their fights and back and forth insults.

This book is about Charlie and Berg. Berg is a grizzly shifter, he first meets Charlie when she is being attacked, he helps her out and then she takes off, it was a brief moment but he cannot get her out of his mind. By happenstance Berg and Charlie meet again and Berg realizes Charlie and her sisters could use his help, which also gives him a chance to woo Charlie. What ensues once Berg offers his help is pure comedic genius and fun albeit a tad violent at times. The romance is light and it takes a while for Charlie and Beck to finally do the deed but it was done at the right pace for the storyline. There are a ton of secondary characters in this book, including some favorites from other series by Ms. Laurenston, and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the Honey Badgers series!

Hot and Badgered is a hilarious, chaotic, action packed, 100% fun, shifter romance complete with zany, vicious yet loveable characters!

When you and your sisters seem to find trouble lurking behind every corner you turn is that a curse or just life as you know? Well for the MacKilligan sisters, they think it's a bit of both. Charlie, Max, and Stevie always seem to attract trouble and that's how Charlie meets the most normal and oh so boring bear shifter, Berg Dunn. And after all she and her sisters have been through Charlie would welcome a little normal and boring into her life. So when Berg offers to help her and her sisters out of their current jam, Charlie jumps at the chance to share some normal time with him.
Charlie and her sisters and all the trouble they get into is enough to make this story a some times chaotic but always comical visit into the shifter world, but add in the very lovable Berg and his two siblings that make up
The Dunn Triplets , a very dysfunctional badger clan, and all the other overbearing shifter breeds, and what you get is one great romantic paranormal party full of fists and fur flying all over the place. This was another awesome read from Ms. Laurenston. I hope that each of the sisters are on deck for their own story because I can only imagine what this group is capable of getting into next, but I look forward to finding out.

This book is just one fun and fabulous read. It is silly and violent and fast paced, like pretty much all of Shelly Laurenston's books.

Charlie is a honey badger/wolf hybrid. She is one of three half sisters who share the same low down worthless honey badger father. She is tough and violent and funny as heck. I loved the relationship she had with her crazy sisters and I loved their 'us against the world attitude' (because it pretty much always had been).

Berg is a Grizzly shifter and an all around stand up guy. He is solid and reliable and just the kind of guy that Charlie needs in her corner - whether she likes it at first, or not.

I loved watching the adventure of Charlie and Berg's unfolding relationship and loved them together.

I also really loved the secondary characters and I am very hopeful that Charlies sisters, Max and Stevie, will have some rollicking HEAs of their own down the road.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys comedy romance or urban fantasy.
