I read a ton of mystery novels and I have to say, the ending caught me by surprise. Though not all feasible, still a great read.
Emily starts dating Adam and their relationship blooms quickly until Emily discovers a bump in the road; Adam’s mom.
Recommend for a quick and fun read with a surprising twist.

This book has been getting so much hype and as is always the case with buzzed about books I’m a little hesitant to see if they’ll live up to the hype for me. I can definitely see what all the fuss is about with this one, it’s highly compulsive, a little disturbing and an all around really fun and engaging read.
The idea of a nightmare mother in law is nothing new but Jones manages to insert a fresh new twist on the premise, what if the other woman is your future mother in law? I don’t want to say much more than that, because half of the fun of this one was not knowing what to expect. This one really messes with your mind, I had several theories that changed from chapter to chapter which always keeps me super engaged. I did figure out one of the main twists but I think that’s solely because I read thrillers so often. I wasn’t even upset by it, I was having way to much fun just losing myself in Pammie’s crazy world that I didn’t care!
Go in as blind as possible to this one and pack it on vacation, it would be the perfect read for a long flight because once you start you absolutely will not want to put it down until you finish.
The Other Woman in three words: Addictive, Wicked and Entertaining.

The Other Woman was a fun read. It took me two days to finish it. It’s a story about a woman named Emily and her boyfriend Adam. But it’s so much more then that. It’s about the twists and turns s couple must go through and who is standing in there way.
#netgalley. Thank you

Wow! This psychological thriller was a great debut from Sandie Jones. I don't want to say much because I think it should be read blind -- no spoilers! Let's just say that Emily falls in love with Adam, but Adam's mother, Pammie, is a piece of work. Pammie is a sinister character who does everything she can to undermine Emily. Emily gets no support from Adam, who thinks his mother can do no wrong. It is a recipe for tension and drama. I really enjoyed this quick read.

The ending is worth the whole book - I did not see that coming! This is a well written, relationship based novel with heroes and villains but it is hard to tell at times which is which. The main relationship in the book between the narrator and her boyfriend wasn't as believable as I would have liked it to be. I just kept wondering through most of the book why they were even together. The first half was a little slow but once I hit the midpoint I couldn't put it down.
Recommended.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the review copy of The Other Woman. All opinions are my own.
This. Novel. Is. SPECTACULAR. Easily one of my favorite books I've read and I'm so glad I got to read the ARC ahead of publication, because that's just that much longer that I know this book exists!
I agree with other reviewers when they say you want to go in blind. Read the summary on Goodreads if you want, but don't go in with expectations because this book will prove every last one of them wrong.
Emily falls in love with Adam, the perfect man. It's an easy match and she knows she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. What she wasn't counting on was Pammie, Adam's mother, who seems to dislike her for every possible reason. It's obvious that Pammie wants to get rid of Emily, but it's not obvious why. Adam blows it off whenever Emily tries to talk to him about it, making Emily wonder if she is just going crazy.
Throughout reading, you think you know what's going on, but then another twist is thrown your way, so you change your mind. A great psychological thriller that you will NOT want to put down. And you'll never believe how it ends. ;)
This title is set to be released August 21, 2018, but I would 100% suggest pre-ordering. :)

This novel started off with a bang and kept my attention throughout. I didn’t see the twist at the end which made the book all the more interesting. A great read and a wonderful book for a day at the beach.

Incredibly repetitive book, I kept feeling like I was reading the same chapter over and over again. MIL is a nightmare, I get it! I did feel like the last quarter of the book tried to flip the script and While I appreciated it, it felt a little too late.

I never had the issue with a mother in law, but in reading this book, I find myself lucky I escaped this problem. That said, The Other Woman is a psychological thriller that has Emily, the book's protagonist, warring with her soon to be mother in law. Pammie has a very close relationship with her son Adam to the point of being obsessive. It seems that everything Emily does is judged by Pammie and Emily comes up lacking. Adam of course loves his mother but their relationship is kind of weird. Not matter what Emily tells him of what Pammie has said or done to her, Adam brushes it off as something that Emily is either taking too personally or it is not true.
I love a good psychological thriller that keeps you wanting more, page after page. The Other Woman definitely delivers on that score. Pammie is the woman you love to hate, I know I did! I highly recommend this debut novel! You won't regret it, a fast-paced read that is sure to please!

Great unique writing style.
The book keeps you in the hook wanting to read more and more. “Why does the mother in law dislike her daughter in law so much?” Is the question in the back of your head the whole time yet not expecting the twist of events at the end. A must read!

The OTHER WOMAN by Sandi Jones. Emily has found the perfect man but when she meets his mother, all bets are off. A back stabbing, twisty story, with an ending you won't see coming. 🌟🌟🌟🌟Four stars. Loved it!

Warning: don't start reading this book at night....you may not get any sleep! Plot twists and turns and characters you want to hate will ensure you won't be able to put this book down. Great psychological thriller!

I say well done to Sandie Jones for her debut novel! The first thought that came to me after finishing this book is: The saying "love is blind" must be true as Emily's fiance, Adam, was such a "momma's boy". How Emily could stay in a relationship with all the questions she had running through her mind and with a future "mother-in-law from hell" breathing down her neck would have had me running for the hills. Just when I felt I knew where the story was going there would be another twist that threw me.
This is definitely a compulsive psychological thriller that kept me going back for more every chance I had. Just when I felt I knew where the story was going there would be another twist that threw me.
The lesson of the story: If you are looking to meet someone and you start hearing "wedding bells" be sure to get to KNOW your potential "family" before you take the final step!!
Thanks to Net Galley for an ARC for my honest review.

I read this book in two days...I did not want to put it down. Emily finds the man of her dreams. She sees some faults, but who doesn’t have them? She and Adam make plans to meet his mother and of course Emily is nervous...we all experience that when meeting “the other woman” in a man’s life. Emily is ready to embrace Pamela, but is Pamela ready to embrace her? Is Emily imagining all the roadblocks and the bitterness coming from Pamela? Why can’t Adam see what is happening? Emily believes in fighting for her man, knowing that they have a strong love and a great future together...and she will finally have her princess dream marriage. The storyline takes us through the ups and downs of trying to get a relationship established when the outside factors seem to be against it. The author gives just enough detail about the characters to make you feel you know all about them...but do you? Friends Pipa and Seb are always there for Emily and add some humor and support to the story. And Adams brother James brings both conflict and extra emotion to the family. A great read taking the reader through many twists and turns....what to believe and who to believe in. I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review, which this was.

This was an awesome debut novel by Sandie Jones! Although the beginning had kind of a slow start, the action sped up quickly and I was drawn into the story of Emily and her relationship (or lack thereof) with Pammie, her soon-top-be mother-in-law. Pammie is an astounding character with so many flaws and machinations that one wonders if she just sits in her living room and plots against Emily. She was my favorite character because I never knew what to expect from her next. I will always remember the conclusion of the book because it was such a surprise, so twisted and oh, so good! Readers of psychological suspense will certainly enjoy this dark tale of a young woman’s survival in spite of all odds. Highly recommend this great book!

Wow just wow is my initial response to this book. This story kept me reading and finished it in less than a day. Emily had been cheated on by her previous long term boyfriend and is gun shy about getting into another relationship. Emily meets Adam in a bar at a hotel during a break at meeting for her job. They hit it off and start dating. Over the next few months they find that they really like each other and have a lot in common. Soon it is time for Emily to meet Adam's mom Pammie. Pammie is that mother that dotes on her boy and treats Emily like no matter what she does she will never be good enough. She repeatedly tries to sabotage Adam and Emily's relationship but she does it very under handedly. Emily tries to talk to Adam about his Mom but he just doesn't see the problem.
I loved this author's writing style and was quite impressed that this is her first book. The twists she managed with her writing kept me reading. I will say this book did not end at all like I expected. If you enjoy reading a little suspense this book is for you. I recommend it! Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for honest review.

Have you ever read a book where you thought you knew where it was going, and you were totally wrong? That was this book for me, and I loved that about it. I devoured this book in one day because I had to know what was going on and where it was going.
Emily met a great guy, Adam, but there's only one problem. His mother is horrible. Pammie sets out to sabotage their relationship from the beginning.
I love the idea of the 'monster-in-law.' Pammie was described in enough detail that she felt like a real person, and not a stereotype. As the book progressed, I kept trying to figure out why she was the way she was. This book is definitely a page turner.
The only thing I didn't love was that the ending felt a bit rushed. I wish that maybe there had been parts?

I am going to keep this short as to not give spoilers! But..........
Wow! What a read!
Every page has you engaged. Your mind is constantly thinking what is next!
This novel is about what you would think is a soon to be "monster in law" and you really can not stand her but then it is a thriller so you never know what is coming next!

The Other Woman was interesting. There were twists and turns but the final twist seemed a bit strange and didn't add up with the behavior of the characters throughout the story, leaving it a little implausible.
Not a bad read, but nothing to get too excited about either.

Emily is attending a conference for her job when she meets Adam. Emily thinks she has met the perfect man. Adam brings her home to meet his MOTHER, Pammie. Pammie is an obsessive controlling Mother. No one is good enough for her Adam and she starts sabotaging the relationship.
This is a twisted psychological thriller filled with tension. It moves at a fast pace. Not all the characters are likeable. There I a twist at the end of the book. My only problem was the book was written in the first person, which I don’t like. This is my reason for the 3 1/2 star rating. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
