I read this as a standalone, not knowing this was the second book in a series. Luckily, this wasn't too big of a deal. I really enjoyed Lola's sassiness and independent attitude. I did find that the storyline kind of dragged a bit. I'm not sure if it's because I missed the first book in the series or if it was just hard to stay interested. I do think it would make for a pretty good beach read.

I loved the first book about Prince Kian & this book doesn’t disappoint. This is Prince Garrett’s story. It’s about him trying to find a way to prove to the King that he is ready to reclaim the right to the throne. He had been removed from this because of his abduction. The King looked at him as damaged goods b/c he “allowed” the abduction to happen. Garrett is out to prove otherwise. While he’s trying to be more like Kian, he meets Lola, a feisty American woman that makes his blood heat up anytime he’s around her. Kian comes up with a scheme to use Lola to get the throne back for Garrett & away from himself. Will this scheme work? Will Garrett be able to keep his demons at bay? & is there more to Lola & Garrett than meets the eye. I holy recommended reading this book to find out. You won't regret it.

Royal Treatment by Tracy Wolff was a heart wrenching story that had you rooting for Garret the entire time. you are able to see how Garrets priorities change throughout the book. Lola is his perfect and sassy match. What a great book! It was hard to put down.

Garrett and Lola are fantastic! Garrett was the Crown Prince until his father the King stripped him of his title because he was kidnapped for three months. The King thought he may have been compromised because he was severely tortured. But he didn’t break. His twin brother, Kian, is taking over for now. But both are trying to get the King to reinstate Garrett. While Garrett is off trying to enjoy his new freedom, he meets Lola. She is feisty and loud, and she intrigues Garrett instantly. They go on a date and the paparazzi take a picture of them kissing goodnight. The next day, the new couple is plastered everywhere. Kian decides that Garrett should indulge this “romance” because the people of Windermar love Lola. And their love will have to make the King reinstate Garrett. This “romance” is quite a ride and an enjoyment to read. This was a sexy, funny, and at times, intense story. I loved it!

Author Tracy Wolff knows her way around a Crown Prince in the latest addition to the erotic contemporary romance series, His Royal Hotness. Royal Treatment takes readers back to Wildemar and introduces them to the heir to the throne, Prince Garrett. Only things aren't going quite as planned after Garrett's traumatic kidnapping and torture. Readers who are intrigued by royal life and the ins and outs of court will find this one a very good read.

What I liked:

Every once in awhile I want to read a good quick and dirty erotic romance and Royal Treatment certainly fits the bill. Tracy Wolff is able to get readers in the mood quickly for a romp with a playboy prince. I don't know a lot about royalty. Most of us don't. Just what we are allowed to see in the media and what stories we get from those paid to provide photos that cast royals in the limelight whether good or bad. I liked that Wolff gives us a glimpse into a world most of us will never see and that makes this one a grand escape.

Garrett isn't quite what you'd expect. He is definitely on a bit of a tear after his recent experiences. He was kidnapped and tortured and then removed as heir to the throne by his ruthless father. He has a lot of issues and he's taking his frustrations out with wine and women. What's a prince to do with no country to rule? Wolff does a wonderful job of portraying Garrett as more than just a lost soul. He has been preparing for the duty of being King his whole life and without that coupled with PTSD, he is the epitome of a tortured hero. But he's not sitting around lamenting his woes, he's out there trying to enjoy a debauched life. He was quite endearing as he worked through his issues with candor and honesty. I liked his attitude, his demeanor and his ability to love. A very good character.

Oh Lola! I loved Lola. What a spitfire. Who just goes toe to toe with a prince over a swimming hole? She had spunk and determination and it has served well as a fashionista and entrepreneur. Garrett has met his match with this one. She doesn't put with any nonsense and she calls him out when she needs to, but she also understands the position he is in with his family and does what she believes is right for him even though perhaps it was a misguided gesture. I liked that Wolff made her tough but showed her vulnerabilities with Garrett. Their chemistry was not only off the charts hot, but it was endearing and loving as well.

What I didn't like:

We hear quite a bit about the King though he never really makes an appearance. As readers we can easily decide that he is quite a pain and very tedious and somewhat mean to his children. He deems Garrett unfit and hands the throne over to Kian who is even more unfit to rule. I wanted the boys to have a chance to their father in his place a bit but it didn't happen. Just a pet peeve that they didn't get to have their say with the man in question.

I had to throw my ideals of what is proper and right for the crown out the window a bit with this one because it seemed a bit out of place with my thoughts about royals. I've been watching too much Netflix lol... It's all about decorum and what kind of royal face is presented to the public. This one was bit of a clash with that and I was a bit skeptical in parts until I thought some of the things real "princes" have been caught doing.

Bottom Line:

This is a very good hot read. If you are looking for that book that takes you out of your head and out of the mundane everyday life... this is a good one. It's not everyday we as readers can rub noses with royalty. I loved Wolff's approach to main character Garrett. A tortured but beautiful soul. The high spirited Lola was his match in every way even though there were other reasons they probably shouldn't try to make a go of it. A good book if a little out of the norm when what you'd expect from a royal family. And the King needed a good spanking.

4.25 stars--ROYAL TREATMENT is the second instalment in Tracy Wolff’s contemporary, adult HIS ROYAL HOTNESS erotic, romance series. This is Garrett, the former crown-prince of Wildemar, and American on-line fashion sales promoter Lola Barnes’ story line. ROYAL TREATMENT can be read as a stand alone but for cohesion and backstory I recommend reading the series in order.

NOTE: If you have not read book one –ROYAL PAIN-there may be some spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person points of view (Lola and Garrett) ROYAL TREATMENT follows the building relationship between former crown prince of Wildemar Prince Garrett, and American on-line fashion sales promoter Lola Barnes. While in Europe, scouting out vintage and name brand clothing American Lola Barnes will come face to face with the former crown prince of Wildemar Prince Garrett-a bruised, battered and beaten soul who months earlier had been kidnapped, tortured, and starved by a fringe militia group claiming to want the destruction of the Royal family. Seven minutes older than his twin brother Kian (Royal Pain #1) Garrett was targeted in an effort to disrupt the succession to the throne. Meeting flamboyant and strong-willed American fashionista Lola Barnes began a slow break-down of the demons controlling our hero’s life. Garrett will offer Lola a chance of a lifetime to play the ‘fake’ girlfriend to his battered prince, a relationship that turns into something more. What ensues is the building romance between Lola and Garrett, and the potential fall-out as the paparazzi take aim at our story line heroine, and a promise from the King if Garrett is willing to let go of the woman with whom he is falling in love.

Prince Garrett struggles in the face of dark memories, PTSD, and the ongoing humiliation of losing his position as heir to the Royal throne. Believing Garrett to be damaged and compromised, the King revoked Garrett’s birthright by naming Garrett’s twin Kian as the next in line to wear the crown. Lola Barnes is a successful, online business owner, a business that gives her the opportunity to travel the world. A brash and combustible American woman, Lola takes Garrett out of his comfort zone in an effort to show our hero what it is he has been missing and wants.

The relationship between Garrett and Lola is one of immediate attraction but Lola is in Europe on business, a temporary lay-over in Wildemar is about to change her life forever. Garrett has become a bit of a man-wh*re while recovering from his traumatic ordeal. Meeting Lola Barnes sets Garrett on the path to self-discovery, with the knowledge that there is more to his life than wearing a crown. The $ex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense.

ROYAL TREATMENT is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and love. The premise is heartbreaking and impassioned; the romance is sexy and seductive; the characters are colorful, dynamic and exciting. ROYAL TREATMENT looks at one man’s recovery, and one woman’s ability to break through and destroy the demons that control his mind and his heart.

It’s time to meet Garrett who was suppose to be king but after being kidnapped and tortured for months no one trusts him. But Garrett doesn’t know how to be anything but king, that is until he meets Lola. She changes his world in a way he never thought possible and makes him feel whole again.

Tracy Wolf is a great author but this time she didn’t convince me. The connection is purely carnal and hot but no feeling involved. The whole romance is rushed and after barely 2 weeks they are so deeply in love. Two weeks is barely enough for a credit check and not enough to declare someone you’re soulmate.
I also think that the whole dealing with the bodyguards needing more exploring. That’s a big deal! Barely a day in and the guy you are dating has a file on you with all your history, or having guards coming into your home to scope it out before your boyfriend can go in is a big deal.
It all felt rushed and not very good reading.

Another great book by Tracy Wolff. The author does a great job of introducing the two main characters, Garrett and Lola. Lola seems edgy, exciting, a take no crap type of girl. Garrett who has found himself along a different path than what he has been groomed for, Crown Prince. However since his abduction the King has decided that Garrett's twin brother, Kian shall be King. Garrett has always lived his life with the thrown in his future. Now life is different and he must find out what the future looks like without the thrown. He meets Lola and Lola brings something out in Garrett that does just that, Garrett can finally see a future. But there are many demons that he must deal with before life can be pure bliss for him. The connection between Lola and Garrett is strong, it is intense, it is nothing like either has felt before. And sometimes when we find our hearts feeling something new, we can be afraid. Love is in the air between these two. I enjoyed reading through the book and Garrett and Lola finding out what is happening between them. Sparks fly and fireworks go off. It is sizzling.

Three and a half cheers to the Royal Hotness. This was an enjoyable Cinderella-type royal story with well developed characters. I didn’t read the first book so I may have missed some of Gorgeous Garrett’s tragic backstory. Garrett is a terrific hero and I do mean Hero for what he suffered for his country. I loved him! I liked Lola as the sassy American heroine with a less than royal background. This is a insta-lust/love story with a lot of internal dialogue. There are also some serious issues in this love story that helps bond Garrett and Lola. I voluntarily reviewed a NetGalley ARC.

This was a good read! The writing flowed well, and the characters were developed nicely. I didn't read the first story in this series, but it didn't keep me from enjoying this story. Garrett and Lola were great together, and they had very good chemistry. Garrett has been through some horrible things that he still needs to work through. Lola has a ton of baggage herself with the way she was treated as a child. Lola was a little annoying after a while, because even though Garrett did everything he could to show her, she didn't want to believe that he would treat her right. I hate in a story when one person makes a decision because they think it's best for the other person. How about you ask, and take them at their word when they tell you what they want. The only thing I would have like would have been a scene between the King and Lola. That would have been pretty epic. The ending was great though.

I loved this book! This writer is new for me, I would read more from her in the future. I love royal romance stories, this one had a fabulous plot. I really enjoyed the two main characters, Lola and Garrett. I read this book over 2 days, which is a good sign, it means I could not put it down. I could see gifting this to a fellow reader. Thumbs up, a must read for romance lovers.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Garrett has been raised since birth to be the next ruler of his small country. It is in his blood and anything else is not an option. Then his life changes...he is abducted by an extremist group and tortured for three months before he is rescued. He is lucky he is alive physically as well as mentally.

The problem is, no one knows if he could be trusted as the next ruler, even his father feels that way. Can he perform his duties? Mentally as well as physically? While he is healing, his twin has taken over his duties, which both brothers hate.

Garrett is like a lost soul. What will he do with his life?

One day he meets Lola, an American. He is captivated by her and asks her out but she declines and goes on her way. Since he has "connections" he has someone find out where she lives and goes to her house, hoping she will go out with him.

She does go out with him and it is now the first day of the rest of their lives! She knows who he is but doesn't let on at first. She didn't want to go out with him because she didn't want to be another faceless woman.

After Garrett's brother sees a picture of he and Lola in the paper he comes up with a plan... for Garrett and Lola to have a "fake" relationship for the paparazzi which will show Garrett is back and ready to take over again. Lola agrees for as long as she is in the country.

Will this remain a fake relationship? Will Garrett be able to let Lola go? Will Lola want to?

Awesome story! I had read the previous book about Garrett's twin and loved it and I didn't know if this one could be as good....but it was just as awesome!!

Garrett and Lola are both strong characters so there is definitely some head butting but there is also a whole lot of steam!

Garrett has others things to deal with though. He is full of anger and yes, fear over the abduction and has held it inside. The feelings that he and Lola are dealing with also add to his stress. Lola knows he is holding a lot in and is so awesome. She helps him everyday and he doesn't even realize it.

My words can't adequately describe, you must read this!

Good story - enjoyed the unique story line. I would definitely recommend reading book 1 (Royal Pain) first as the 2 books and story are definitely connected. You could read it as a standalone but might feel a bit lost at times.

Garrett's character is lost and drifting after his world has been turned upside down. He is trying to find his way and Lola is a feisty, strong woman who sets out to give him some help doing so.

Loved the strong characters and their push and pull - Lola takes no prisoners :-) Hot and sexy times as well are not disappointing!

Loved this book. I think I loved this more than the first book in the series. I enjoyed the strong female and her instinct to protect the male lead when you would assume it should be the opposite way around. I loved the context of the story being that it isn't something that you often find.

Highly suggest picking up this book.

Although there was nothing ground-breaking about the plot of this novel, I still enjoyed it very much. Lola and Garrett had great chemistry and were entertaining. Lighthearted fun.

I was wondering about him. It is extremely difficult for his royal hotness to handle the aftermath of his abduction. With a lot of pressure from his family he is drowning in torment but he finds a distraction. He finds someone to focus on. With a lot of effort and attitude Lola allows him to feel normal for once, to think of what he wants not what is expected of him. She also doesn't treat him like he will break... It is great because in this story things don't happen instantly, everything is a work in progress and the fact that he meets this fireball doesn't automatically better his life. He still needs to understand with her help to put his needs first. She is independent , hates lying and bending to the norm. And that makes her perfect to deal with him. With a lot of help and understanding from her part he is able to start the process of healing and being the best he can be. And there is no one better to be by his side when that happens. Because she will never compromise.

I wanted to wrap Garrett in a big hug and snuggle him! It was heartbreaking, all the trouble he’s been having since his rescue from abduction and torture. And to have the thrown taken from him on top of that!
Lola is the breath of fresh air he needs. Their first meeting is absolutely hilarious.
Their story had just the right amount of humor and emotion. 5 stars!

In the second installment of His Royal Hotness series, it's Garrett's turn to meet his American match. Still trying to deal with the PTSD left over from the months of torture he suffered at the hands of his kidnappers, Garrett is determined to convince the king that he is fit to be next in command, but dear old dad isn't budging. Garrett spent his life being groomed to be the next king. Then he was taken and tortured. He never divulged any national secrets but his father is a prick and now Kian, the former playboy prince is forced to take what is Garrett's by right. So what is a prince to do? Date, of course... Lola Barnes isn't ready to be arm candy. An entrepreneur from the States, she is independent, brave, feisty and beautiful. She is a spitfire and trouble with a capital T. She also sets Garrett's blood and libido on fire. Something that he hasn't felt since his abduction. After one night of crazy with her and some attention from the paparazzi, Lola and Garrett are faced with some decisions to make: do they keep seeing each other or do they end their affair before it even starts? And if so, do they do it for real or just for show? Lola knows what's like to be someone's dirty little secret. She won't be Garrett's. But is she ready to be his real public sweetheart? As fake and real intertwine, emotions take over, feeling evolve and love takes flight. A funny, sweet and sexy read by Tracy Wolff, where family and friends can save you and love means more than country.

After reading Royal Pain I was so anxious to get Garrett's book - he was bound to be dealing with a lot after his kidnapping and Wolff delivered.

Although I was a little surprised that Garrett's dad didn't show up more.  We get some conversations about him and a couple with him but he never actually appears.  And with how much of an a** he is to his kids, creating a LOT of issues along the way, I would have expected more.  Not that his actions don't have consequences that are in play here - they are and often - but I wanted more like we got with Kian's book.

Instead, Garrett is mostly (and totally understandably) dealing with the fallout from his months spent being tortured and his recovery afterward.  He's been struggling and it takes meeting an in-your-face rule breaker to throw him off his game and out of his head.  As a bit of her free spirit rubs off on him, Garrett starts to really feel again ... which also opens him up to the possibilities of finally coming to terms with what has happened to him in the last year.  It won't be pretty but it is definitely needed.

I found Lola to be fun and sassy.  She's got a big personality but she's not overwhelming and I never found her to be overdone.  Instead she's brash, but caring.  And totally not intimidated by Garrett's title.  She definitely doesn't let him get away with too much and instead helps him find his way back to the land of the living.

I will say that I got annoyed at the both a couple of times as they spent too much time beating themselves up for the exact same thing.  Something would happen and they'd both start taking responsibility and offering verbose apologies.  Before kissing and making up of course.  It wasn't horrible but I would find myself thinking "ugh, get over yourself" a time or two :)

While I don't think the daddy issues (for either of them) were properly resolved, I am pleased with the way Wolff handled Garrett's issues.  He's good at bottling things up and hiding behind his princely mask, but he was never going to get better until he finally opened up about his feelings.  It took someone coming in from the outside who could give him the care & understanding he needed and I'm glad Wolff gave him Lola for that.
