this was a super quick, super short horror-suspense story.

i feel like in order to write a good short story, especially an isolated one rather than part of a themed collection, there needs to be something extremely new and extremely fresh otherwise the reader is left wondering what the point of it all was. therefore, i thought this was far too short a story to be published by itself; as previously mentioned, it may work well as part of an anthology, but by itself it just seems like the fetus of a longer work.

there was definitely potential here though, and i did enjoy it; i just wish it had been developed to its fullest possible incarnation.
