We love this book and recommend it. If you have little ones perhaps they are just starting school this is a great book for them. The pictures are fun and the story is set to rhythm, which the reader and listener will enjoy. Read it around recess or playing on the playground and it will be extra fun.

I think young children who love story books that are written as songs will love this one. It's a fun book about a day at the playground and what the little children get up to and the sounds that each activity makes. It's quite cute and one of those that I can imagine being read over and over until the kids know ALL the words off my heart - yeah you know the type. The illustrations are nice and colourful, which is quite important in a children's picture book. Definitely recommend.

The Wheels On the Bus has never been so much fun! I love these piggy back songs. I'm always on the look out for them for my story times.Now every verse has an action, but enough do to make it a useful song/story for little ones! I think it wold make a nice addition to a child's library!

I did not read this book to my grandchildren, I sang it to them. The tune from "The Wheels on the Bus" is very familiar to most people including children. A trip to the playground and all the activities that entails are written about and illustrated with bright, vibrant colours. This book promotes outdoor play, playing with others and having fun. The repetitive words and the familiar tune will have children "reading" and singing along with you in no time. The text is age appropriate and easy to read. It was interesting that my grandson immediately commented on the playing chimes, he said, "that's not at the playground". Obviously this is not common at his local park or school playground. This book would make a wonderful addition to a family library or a pre-school or kindergarten classroom.

The Children at the Playground is a really fun little picture book that is set to the rhythm of "The Wheels on the Bus." I really enjoyed it and it is just perfect for active story times or to read before, after, or during a playground visit. I can see it being a firm favourite and being sung many times over! It has some lovely, bright images to illustrate the song too - 5 stars!
