I really enjoyed Army Ranger with Benefits by Donna Michaels.

The writing is well done, the storyline is sweet, heartwarming and I loved watching the relationship develop between Vince and Emma develop.
These two made me smile and they made me swoon. I was very happy they got their happily ever after.

The Men of At Ease Ranch Series has been such a lovely read, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all!

*A big thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the advance copy*

I think this is a wonderful series and Army Ranger with Benefits fits in perfectly. I had a smile on my face while reading and was caught laughing out loud several times throughout the book.

Emma is sweet, sassy and looking for Mr Right in Mr. Wrong. Vince shows up at the perfect time and sweeps her off her feet. I loved the dynamic this couple had. You could totally see them as friends first who cares for each other.

They both wanted what was her for each other but in the end they knew it was the other person.

I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the series.

I thought this was a good read. The writing flowed well, and although this is my first of this series, I didn't feel like I had missed out on anything. Vince and Emma were good together, and I thought they had great chemistry. I know why they got along so great though...because he thought she was adorable, and she thought he was hot! :) I wanted to shake them a few times, because their whole drama could have been avoided with one conversation. I liked the secondary characters, Macy and Dom were both good friends to Emma. I thought that the ending was great for these two. I would like to find out what happens with Dom. This is a first for me from this author, but it won't be my last!

"Army Ranger with Benefits" (The Men of at Ease Ranch Book 4) by Donna Michaels is a fantastic read. I loved Vince and Emma's story. This story is a wonderful addition to the series, packed with romance, passion, humor, hot military guys, family, close friends, veterans, entertaining characters, second chances, and more. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next with all of these wonderful characters. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, military, and series.

Rating: 4.5/5

After having her heart broken by a series of military men, Emma Roberts has set herself a deadline before which she hopes Stefan, her doctor colleague who is also her long term high school crush, will ask her out on a date . . . . but it isn’t working! When her neighbour, Dom - a military man who is more like a brother to her - is seriously injured, his brother Vince comes to look after him. Dom suggests that Vince should be Emma’s fake boyfriend to make her crush take more notice of her. He’s only staying for a couple of weeks, so they’re both aware this has an end date . . . So starts a delightful story as both Emma and Vince are attracted to each other and so unsure just how much of their developing relationship is fake and what is real.

This is a slow burn to a hot romance with great characters, a well crafted plot and a fun read. The potential difficulties of a long distance romance make both unsure of any future together - and who will she choose, Stefan or Vince? Vince had a high school sweetheart who was tragically killed in an accident and since then he’s closed himself off from such relationships, protecting his frozen heart. Emma, however, has the power to melt the ice and warm up his heart and his life - will Vince give her the opportunity to do so?

This is a great addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Each book in the series is written as a standalone but they contain many of the same characters and it was great to catch up on some of them in this story. I have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending this and can’t wait to read more in the series in future!

I requested and received a copy of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

There is both cursing (including f-bombs) and some on-page sex in this book. If those things will cause you to leave a bad review, this might not be the book for you.

Army Ranger With Benefits is a really fun take on a fake relationship, and a sweet chemistry-at-first-sight romance. Vince, being the good dude that he is, tries to help Emma by pretending to date her to make her more appealing to the oblivious doctor she's been crushing on for forever. These two had a ridiculous amount of chemistry from the very start, so it was not surprising at all when they fall for each other. I liked that they actually spent time together and got to know each other before they made any declarations of their feelings because so often in romance novels that isn't the case. Because of that genuine connection, I believe wholeheartedly in their happily ever after.

One of the major strengths of this book – and this entire series – is the way that Ms. Michaels writes her characters. Vince and Emma are complex and well-developed characters, the kind of people who you read about and want to be friends with. Or, in Vince's case, you promote him to the job of book boyfriend because he's just. that. swoon-worthy. But unlike so many books, the side characters are also a huge part of their story without totally overwhelming it. I loved Macie and her sassiness, but Dom just won me over. I hope that Dom will get a story sometime because after reading about the way that he supported Emma through her tough times without ever treating her like a sexual object, I just really want him to have his happily ever after. And of course, there were cameos from the characters in the previous books. I ADORED all of the cameos, but Lula Belle once again steals the show in the best way possible. Although I expected her cameo, I did not expect it to be so hilarious.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a fake relationship story, or to anyone who just likes a well-written, humor-and-heart infused love story.

I am already counting down the days until Leo's book.

This is such a lighthearted and fun read, I loved it! All the characters are great and it's really well-written. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Dom and Vince.
Emma is a sweet and warmhearted woman, who happen to have a good sense of humor, the only thing she lacks is luck when it comes to men. However, after few bad break-ups she has learnt her lesson. Now she will be more careful while choosing who she dates, Stephan seems like her ideal man. She has known him for so long, but for some reason he is not getting the hint and asking her out already. Then came Vince, handsome, hot-as-hell, great sense of humor; all in all a perfect guy. At the time it sounded like a good idea to fake-date him so that her ideal man finally realize how desirable she is.... but her plan has serious flaws and potential to backfire....
Vince liked Emma, his brother's neighbor. She seems like a good catch, but not for him. Somehow he ends up pretending to be her boyfriend, but not everything goes according to the plan.... soon both will realize that and by then it may be too late to do anything about it...
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all romance lovers.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Another Ranger down and one to go! It is so much fun to watch each man meet their match and read how some fight it, others run from it, and the brave few embrace it! Poor Vince did a bit of all of them and yet you can understand why he hesitates!

Emma - what can I say!, she had a crush on the same guy for years! When her friend suggests using another man to wake up Stephan, she finds that guy in her neighbor, Dom's brother, Vince. Wow, the sparks between them and the sizzle, they were great together.

There was so much humor, romance, and family in this book. The relationships were strong and each person was there for the others. The guys and their ladies were there to give Vince an intervention, and Dom and Stephan (of all people!) were supporting Emma. Loved the wedding and Lula Belle, what a hoot!

Poor Leo is now the odd man out with all those couples so I hope that he is not too far from meeting his match! Really looking forward to his book as he has come so far since he was first introduced.

Great HEA and loved that Emma was able to keep her job and yet still move to Texas with Vince, only sad part was that she was no longer living next to Dom.

I love a great feel good, contemporary romance and this one fit the bill perfectly. I had read one of the previous books in the series last year so I was familiar with the underlying theme. However, each one of these books I found to be standalone stories, so don't be afraid to check them out.

This book was a fun, lighthearted story of two brothers and the cute neighbor next-door. With a plot to make Emma's boss jealous, Vince starts fake dating her and soon realizes his frozen heart is melting and fast. As the story heats up, so do their feelings for each other.

With plenty of fun, laughs, and loads of anticipation and heat, Michaels knows how to write contemporary romance that is real to life and not loaded with angst. Crafting drool-worthy men and sexy scenes are a gift and this author has that gift! MMmmm

Can't wait for the next in the series!

She needed to get a grip and focus on their plan…not his butt. Although, gripping his butt was a good plan.

I’ve read—and loved—every book in the Men of At-Ease Ranch so far. But I can honestly say that I haven’t laughed as hard at any of them as I did at this one . . .

Army Ranger with Benefits benefits from a lot of things—Donna Michaels’ excellent writing, two likable lead characters, a series-worth of equally likable secondary characters and a charm that puts the reader At-Ease, even in the new setting.

Because this book takes us out of Texas, though thankfully not away from the band of former Army Rangers who have simply stolen my heart. And Vince may just be the biggest thief of them all. His glass-three-quarters-full mentality was refreshing, and his relationship with his brother and brothers-in-arms touching. Not to mention his commitment to his word—well, that’s definitely something worth . . . probing.

Also worth probing, if you’ll excuse my repetition of the word, is the one thing that set me mildly on edge while reading this one—the “joke” played on Dom. It didn’t quite sit right with me, though I plan to reserve judgment for the time being. Mainly because I’m hoping Dom’s presence means there’s yet more to come—including answers and insight—in this series from Ms. Michaels.

Which would make me very happy indeed. And maybe even as giddy as I was at finding this Army Ranger with Benefits, and laughing harder than ever.

At that moment, it felt like their hearts touched.
Weird. Corny. Amazing. It left her feeling appreciated, and needed, and…wanted.

A Really Fun Romance!! I loved Vince and Emma's story! It was sexy, fun and lighthearted! Vince is a Army Ranger with a big heart and Emma is a woman who is straight forward and also misguided when it comes to her long time crush. I really loved the lightheartedness of the romance and the sometimes comical situations that made me laugh out loud. This romance story will put a smile on your face all the way through!!

This story captured me from the first minute and a lot of the reason for that is the authors way of writing so I feel like I live the story with the characters.

Vince is doing a favour for his brothers friend Emma by being her fake date so she can get the guy she’s crushing on to notice her. Well made plans are not always going the right way......

What I liked:

* Good storyline
* Wonderful characters described with a lot of feelings and realistic insecurities that made them “normal” people
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Lots of dialogues
* Fun, sad and reflective moments
* Sweet and hot love scenes
* Familiar secondary characters make the story even better because it feels like I visit family
* If I’m not mistaken there will at least be one more book in this series and I hope there will be a story for Dom (Vince’s brother)

This is the fourth book in this series but they can be read as standalone although I recommend reading in order if you like to get the feeling of familiarity.
Great 5 star 🌟 read.

This was a fantastic read. It's the first in the series that doesn't take place on the ranch. The author did a good job of keeping it tied in though.

Vince Acardi is a former Army Ranger who rushes to the aide of his brother who was injured on a mission. That's when he meets Emma Roberts. His brother's very hot next door neighbor. There's a strong attraction between the two but there are problems. First Emma's been burned by military types before and she doesn't trust them not to leave. Second Vince only plans to be around for 2 weeks. So when Emma asks Vince to help her make her crush stand up and take notice of her they should be safe. Right??

This book is a fun read and I just adored these characters. This is definitely a book I recommend.

How much I love former army ranger Vince Acardi, oh let me count the ways...
I have adored this series from the first book, and I have been hoping for Vince to get his own HEA because he won my heart over at 'hello', and in Army Ranger With Benefits, he proves to be even more than I could have dreamed of.
The reasons why this series had the fast track to my heart are many. The banter and humor are just in my ally, the characters are charming, the bond between the brothers in arms is tight, there is nothing they wouldn't do for each other, the way they care and look after each other is admirable. And while the stories make me smile and even laugh out loud, not to mention swoon and sigh, they always go deeper than the surface. The deep emotions, the feelings, the PTSD some of the veterans are suffering from, the adjustment to the civilian life that can be so hard, the previous heartbreaks, they are always part of the tale, not ignored but respected, and not dwelled on, but focused on the recovery, for the hope of better days to come.
Vince and Emma Roberts are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot, the connection, even their hobbies, likes, and interests, they are in tune, they get each other.
Emma is a fierce, strong female lead. The fact that she has been friends with Vince's brother Don, and can verbally put him in his place was hilarious. Winning over her childhood crush might bring on the fake dates with Vince, but they do not stay fake for a long time. The attraction between Emma and Vince is true, believable, hot, and delightful. There is no 'third-person drama' feels at all in the tale.
Vince is loyal, kind, considerate man who takes care of those around him. He loves to cook, bake, fish, and his brothers. There is nothing he wouldn't do for them. And when Vince needs the support they all are there for him. I have been interested in Vince's character since the first book came out, he stands out even in the group of rangers. And now I am enamored with him, he is just a perfectly fine man, easy to love and care for -- I have finally found a book-boyfriend. *swoon*
If you enjoy reading romance stories with humor, heat, and heart, with emotions that dig deep yet are not angsty, with relationships that are lasting and true, with loyal friends who always have your six, you are going to love this series. Yes, Army Ranger With Benefits is a stand-alone novel - but why miss on all the fun?!

The idea for this series is wonderful, a working ranch for transitioning veterans. Eventually the men have fallen for awesome capable independent women, another book another soldier falls. This time Vince, wonderful chef extraordinaire, has to head to Georgia to assist his brother. Lucky for him he meets Emma, who needs a guy to make her crush jealous. Yes, it's been done and we know how it ends. However, these characters will have you smirking and smiling and laughing. We all know the fake date thing is predictable but the adventure to reality is special. My copy came through Netgalley and the review written voluntarily.

I have read the previous three books in this series, and I have to say, this one is one of my favorite stories .
The series centers around the men and women who have made The Ease Ranch their home. A ranch as well as construction company in Texas made up of military men and women who have gone through the devastations of war, injured physically and mentally. All honorable and willing to give each other a hand and a new reason for living.
This story belongs to Vince Acardi, whom we have met in previous books. A kindhearted former Army Ranger, cook and construction manager of the group. When his brother Dom , an active Ranger returns from a mission injured , Vince leaves Texas for Georgia, to help him recover. There he meets Emma Roberts , Dom’s neighbor. A woman who might change his life.
From the start you will fall in love with VInce, Dom and Emma. At times you will literally laugh out loud , but also feel their pain due to past hurts and losses. Heartbreaking, but also heartwarming.
Will the fake boyfriend scheme to help Emma catch the eye of her HS crutch become more serious? And if it does, will Emma and Vince part ways when Vince leaves?
Definitely a story with an engaging plot, complex characters and a reminder that sometimes what we wish is not always what will be the best for us.
Kudos to the author for another great story.
