This was a laugh-out-loud story. I enjoy Diana Quincy and this seems like one of her best! The hero is gutsy and appealing, and the heroine is sassy and equally capable of delivering. She hit it out of the park with this one. Thank you, Diana Quincy.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. So I hadn’t read the others in the series but I was able to follow the story pretty well. I was a little bit put off in the beginning it just moved really slow. However, the story did open up well and was pretty good. The ending was a little abrupt as well but had a good middle.

Oh my word, this book! Rarely do I come across a book that comes so close to perfection as I did with The Duke Who Ravished Me. Diana Quincy is a very talented writer and I found myself laughing so many times, raving at certain circumstances, feeling outraged for the characters and tearing up a little in the end. I loved this book so much that when it came to an end, I found myself wanting to continue on with story to learn about the rest of their life. The dialogue was witty and entertaining, the character's each had their own uniqueness, the steamy scenes were enough to singe the pages and the whole story was heartfelt. I rarely gush on like this about books, but now I will have to make note of this author and recommend this book to everyone I know and everyone I don't. The Duke Who Ravished Me deserves more than 5 stars!!! This is a highly recommended, must-read, historical romance novel. I'm literally feeling giddy as I'm writing this and trying to hurry through to get to the novel from Diana Quincy! Just delightfully entertaining! Ok...I'm done...for now.

The Duke Who Ravished Me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An impulsive kiss between a libertine duke and a mysterious governess sparks a blaze of desire—and intrigue—in this breathtaking Regency romance.

Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford, happily enjoys a different woman (or two) every night—or he did, until his wards landed on his doorstep. Ever since Sunny took in the seven-year-old twin girls and their prim and proper governess, Isabel Finch, his love life has been a shambles. But, as time goes by, Sunny catches himself getting lost in Isabel’s haughty blue eyes, or following the curves beneath her unbecoming dress. An unexpected kiss ignites a passion that shocks him into realizing how thin the line between love and hate can be.

If Isabel’s hidden past were revealed, she could lose everything. Oddly enough, only when “Sinful Sunny” is near does she feel safe—or safe enough to speak up in defense of the girls. The duke’s decadent lifestyle is a disgrace, and clearly he considers Isabel a nuisance. Still, she can’t help admiring his sculpted cheekbones, strong-cut jaw, and tousled chestnut hair. When their lips meet, it’s almost as if he could kiss the secrets right out of her. Worse, she’s tempted to let him. . . .

Another page turner that I throughly enjoyed from the very first sentence. The characters were well rounded and likable. The story line while predictable, was just enough to keep the reader interested and looking forward.

The fourth book in the Rebellious Bride series reads well as a stand alone book, but I am looking forward to reading and or re-reading the series.

I received this ARC for free in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you NetGalley, Diana Quincy and Loveswept Ebook.

okay well he was very mean for most of the book, and i didn't see them falling in love, he was kind of just a dick to her for a long time.
also, it would take kids more than half a second to call people they haven't known for that long mom and dad. that's not how it works.

I really don’t like this book. Everything Sunny does is exactly what I hate about bed-hopping characters. I still try books that contain them as usually the author doesn’t go out of there way to show how bad he is, like this one did. I just don’t understand how Isabel forgave all of this to be with him. I couldn’t even finish it.

I enjoyed reading this book. Sinful Sunny was a misguided individual, but I liked him. I also liked the the twins. Overall this is a good book. Thanks Netgalley, for this free copy. My opinion is my own.

As always a thank you first to Netgalley and Random House Loveswept for providing us with a copy of these books so that we could bring you this review.

I mean what isn't there to love when you have kickass woman who don't put up with anything and spies? Each of these woman have such strong dispositions to deal with the tings that they need to individually and are able to put some very strong willed men in their places. Then you have the spy aspect of these stories and how each of these woman influence what is happening. Without giving anything away in any of the books know that the fight is real and they are going through a lot to help themselves as well as their families. I enjoyed each and every one of these books and couldn't wait to read the next one as soon as I finished the one before.

I give these books 5 kisses.

Happy Reading... Adri

This is the fourth book in the series. But it can be read as a stand alone. What a great story! The ending has a few surprises. It was written well. I cared about the characters and enjoyed each ones personalities. A must read Historical Romance!

I truly enjoyed this book. Sinful sunny was a pig until Isabel and the girls walked into his life. Isabel is just the woman to tame him and let herself loosen a bit in the process.

My review: It is a bit of a slow start, but I liked it. When the Duke of Sin is confronted by two little girls and their nanny his sinful lifestyle takes a decided turn for the better. He is intrigued by the nanny and begrudgingly comes to care for his nieces. Raised by a compassionless mother and father he doesn’t know if he can make a go of a family life. Can these three teach him different?

He never expected that he would become the guardian of two vivacious twins. It seriously put a damper on his extravagant lifestyle and nights that were filled with more pleasures than one could possibly imagine. The only voice that provided some form of reasoning was a uptight governess that drove him mad. Being in close quarters lines start to blur and something they never thought was possible begins to happen. Great story on how opposites attract and love can change who you are.

I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed Regency Romance books until I stumbled upon The Duke Who Ravished Me. It was quite an interesting read and one I enjoyed. Take a randy dandy Duke and plop two seven-year-old twin girls in his custody and things get very interesting, very quickly. Imagine the delight of the girls when they happen upon the Duke's private "playroom" and find an indoor swing. Imagine the non-delight of the Duke when he finds them swinging on a swing that has been used for anything but innocent child's play.

The Duke Who Ravished Me was entertaining and does include sexual scenes. The book was well written and quite the page-turner. I enjoyed the book and I think you will too if you love Regency Romances. This is book 4 in the series of Rebellious Brides.

Adam and Isabel were an unlikely but lovely match. The circumstances of their meeting and courtship were highly readable and I enjoyed watching them dance around each other's initial judgments and thoughts to fall madly in love.

I really enjoyed this book. It employed some of my favorite tropes. My one complaint was that it wasn't longer. I wish there was one or two more chapters the end to wrap up the story.

I had looked forward to reading The Duke Who Ravished Me. I had become enamored with Sunny when he first showed up in A License to Wed. My infatuation with him grew in From London with Love. He was the definition of a rake. The glimpses of his lifestyle that I got in both books intrigued me. So, yes, I was excited when I saw that The Duke Who Ravished Me was about Sunny.

I liked that Sunny had a very untraditional lifestyle. The first paragraph of the book was him and two opera singers having a threesome. That set the tone for the entire book. But, as the book went on, the reasons why he was acting the way he acted came out. I actually felt bad for him. That was his way of saying “Eff you” to his father’s ridiculous standards.

Speaking of Sunny’s parties, there was a scene where Isabel goes to Sunny’s playroom to find him and she ends up seeing a man in assless chaps. I didn’t fault her for her shock. If I walked into an orgy type situation and saw that, I would have had the same reaction. And the swing. Again, another situation that was funny. I was as skeeved out as Isabel was when one of the twins got on it and started swinging on it. It wasn’t that type of swing. I laughed so hard that I had tears both times.

I liked Isabel but I thought she was uptight at first. But, considering Sunny’s reputation, I don’t blame her for being wary of the girls living with him. He was living a morally corrupt lifestyle and she was afraid that the girls would accidentally stumble upon it. I like that even though she was a lower class than him, she wasn’t afraid to let him know what he was doing wrong. She dressed him down for his lifestyle, for his playroom, and for his reluctance to be the girls’ guardian.

I didn’t see any chemistry until Sunny took the Isabel and the girls’ swimming. Up until that, he was intrigued by Isabel. She was the one female that didn’t’ fall for his charms. After that swim, the chemistry between them was strong. I was glad when the author decided to amp things up. I was beginning to think that this romance was going to be one that had no zing to it.

When Sunny and Isabel had sex, it was through the roof hot. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. But I was wrong. They burned up the sheets and my Kindle. What I loved was that the author kept that sizzle going so when they had sex again, it was as good as the first time.

I loved reading Sunny’s growth as a person during the book. He learned to care about things other than his carnal pleasures. He learned that true beauty resides underneath the skin. He learned that he was not his father and he will never be his father. That he was better than him. It was wonderful to read that.

I was not expecting the book to go in the direction it did at the end of the book. While I was not surprised at the trial, I was surprised at who was there and the huge secret that was disclosed. The author did a fantastic job of keeping that under wraps. I did not believe it when that secret was revealed. I had to reread the entire chapter in order for it to sink in. The only fault I had was how it was accepted by the two people who it affected the most. Other than that, I enjoyed the ending and the huge secret revealed.

What I liked about The Duke Who Ravished Me:

A) Sunny. Bad boy to the extreme

B) Isabel’s devotion to the girls

C) Sunny’s growth during the book

What I disliked about The Duke Who Ravished Me:

A) No chemistry between Sunny and Isabel until later in the book

B) Sunny’s refusal to grow up until later on in the book

C) The secret that was revealed at the end of the book and how two of the characters dealt with it.

I would give The Duke Who Ravished Me an Adult rating. There are explicit sex and sexual situations. There is some mild violence. There is no language.

There are no trigger warnings in The Duke Who Ravished Me.

I would reread The Duke Who Ravished Me. I would recommend it to family and friends.

I would like to thank Loveswept, Random House Publishing Group, and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review The Duke Who Ravished Me.

Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford, also known as Sinful Sunny, lives a rakish lifestyle. He is never without company and even has his own “playroom” for his pleasure. All is well until one evening three new visitors arrive at his doorstep, two young wards and their governess. He attempts to entice them to leave with his continued deplorable behavior but the governess is determined to stay put.

Isabel Finch is no shrinking violet. She gives Sunny a run for his money when he looks to send the threesome elsewhere. As Isabel settles the girls in, Sunny begins to question his lifestyle. He even begins to see Isobel in a new light, overlooking the way she hides behind large dresses and a stern hairstyle. Once he gets a glimpse of what lies beneath her he is eager to lie beneath her.

Isobel is not immune to Sunny, especially when she sees his growing attachment to the twin girls. She succumbs to his charms and in haste runs away with the girls.

After realizing her error she comes back only to find that Sinful Sunny is back to hosting his debauched parties. She stays for the girls sake and later finds it hard to believe she was mistaken in what she saw upon her return. Could Sinful Sunny really turn away from his past to just be Adam, the man she comes to admire? Could Isobel win the heart of a man who has no idea what love even is?
This was a good story. My only complaint was how long into the book Adam was debating if he could handle being with one woman, especially a drab one. Both sentiments that he had no qualms sharing with Isobel. An epilogue would have been nice in this instance just to show he had changed his ways. He was too much of a rake for too long into the story. All that said, I was still hooked on seeing his slow transformation.

Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunningford, is known as a dissolute man in London. This makes it difficult to understand why he would be made the guardian of his late cousin's twin seven-year-old daughters, who come with their governess Isabel Finch in tow. His decadent lifestyle is upended, especially when he's drawn to the governess as well.

This is a Rebellious Brides book, but it's not necessary to have read others in the series. And really, with a title like this, it's not difficult to know what you're going to get out of this book! As much as it sounds like this is a frivolous story, beneath the common trope is actually a lot of emotion and even a bit of a history lesson. Adam's excessive drinking and womanizing grew out of his loneliness and lack of emotional connection with others growing up, and Isabel's reluctance to get close to anyone but the girls is borne out of her own personal tragedy. Of course, the two of them find things in common besides the girls, but a friendship actually develops before the physical aspect occurs. Adam opens up to Isabel, and she learns not to fear her own needs.

The dramatic turn that leads to the inevitable happily ever after was rather suddenly placed, even though there are certainly enough hints that it was coming. Or maybe I was too caught up in how well they meshed with each other and how they started opening up with their friends as well.

This was a fun romance. A bad boy duke who never got the love he needed, a strong heroine with a secret, and two adorable little girls.
