I voluntarily read an Advance Review Copy of this book through Netgalley. This book makes you fall in love with Adam, who because of his two little wards, becomes a better man. In the process he falls in love with the two little girls and Isabel. Unknown to him, Isabel is the mother of the two girls even though she serves as a governess to them. At the time in which this story takes place, women have no rights to their children as they are considered a part of the husband’s property and when her husband died, his family turned her out and took the girls away from her. After their guardian died and they went to live with a distant relative, Isabel became their governess in order to be close to them. The banter between Adam and Isabel is a great read and the book holds your attention to the very end. I thoroughly loved this book, it keeps you attention to the very end. I would highly recommend this book.

A delightfully sensual historical romance.
Highly descriptive scenes to fire your imagination.
Adam Fairfax's dissolute lifestyle is disrupted by a governess and her two charges and he id not happy.
The governess, Isobel Finch isn't any happier, but there is more to both than it first appears.
You are drawn into the tale as it progresses and you come to know the players. It's impossible not to root for the pair, especially after some of the interaction between them.
The surprise at the end makes it an uplifting love story.
I requested and thoroughly enjoyed my ARC copy.

In a genre saturated with clichés and tired plotlines, “The Duke Who Ravished Me” stands out as a refreshing take on a rake reformed with a surprising twist.

From the beginning, the reader is introduced to an interesting cast of characters. Sinful Sunny, as he is known, is depicted perfectly as the rake he is meant to be. More often than not, rakes in historical novels are simply labeled as rakes, but do not indulge or act like true rakes. The author does not pull any punches, however, and shows him at his most indulgent…and depraved. It makes his transformation that much more notable.

Finch acts as his perfect foil. As uptight and stiff as the bun she always wears, Finch’s number one priority is the young charges in her care. Rounded out with a rambunctious pair of twins, a hopeful butler, and well-meaning but clueless friends, you have a story driven by authentic and flawed characters.

Quincy is not only a talented writer, she is a creative story teller. Her style is smooth and flows easily, bringing her story to life while making it interesting. In a story filled with secrets, the reader thinks they have it all figured out in the end. They are completely unprepared for the twist Quincy throws in at the last minute.

Fans of steamy historical romance won’t want to miss this read. If you are wanting more sweet than sexy, look elsewhere because this novel is explicit as it heartwarming.

The Duke Who Ravished Me is my first book by Diana Quincy so I didn't know what to expect. What a fantastic surprise. Ms. Quincy has delivered a book that is well-written and packed with outstanding, lovable characters. Adam is a rake and is shocked when his uncle sends two young girls to be his wards. Isabel is the governess of the two girls and is willing to fight for them. Isobel and Adam's story is filled with drama, humor (Kudos to Ms. Quincy for the perfect blend of humor in this story.), a little angst and of course, sexy bits. This book hooked me at page 1 and held me captive until the end. I look forward to reading more from Diana Quincy in the future. The Duke Who Ravished Me is book 4 of the Rebellious Brides Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley to read in exchange for a fair review. The Duke Who Ravished Me is the 4th book in Diana Quincy’s Rebellious Brides series. It can be read as a stand alone, I had not read the previous books in the series but will certainly be looking for them as I very much enjoyed reading this book. Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderland has his life of drink and debauchery upended when he becomes guardian to his cousins twin 7 year old daughters and their prim and proper governess Miss Finch. While the story of the reformed rake and the governess is a familiar one, Diana Quincy has added a few twists and turns that will keep you avidly reading till the page. This was my first book from Diana Quincy and it definitely won't be my last! I have to admit I had my doubts if I would enjoy this book because Sunny was so unlikeable at the beginning but hands down to Ms. Quincy for writing such an amazing character. It was actually really nice to see such a manwhore make a turnaround that came about gradually and wasn't instantaneous just because he fell for a pretty face. He really was such a jerk when his two wards show up and I swear he really needed a swift kick in the rear. Not to mention the comments he makes to Finch and even when he wasn't trying to be rude he still managed to stick his foot in his mouth. So believe me once he started to change and his two wards worked their way into his heart it really tugged at my heart strings. It was just so sweet to watch and I liked seeing how his relationship develops with his wards, Prudence and Patience, that is separate from his relationship with Finch.

Sunny's relationship with Finch evolved very nicely and I loved that it wasn't instalove and we get to see Sunny and Finch go from genuinely despising each other to understanding each other and eventually falling in love. The twist at the end was unexpected but entirely satisfying. This was such a wonderful romance that I highly suggest!

Sinful Suny and Isabel are the perfect pair. She is uptight as he is uninhibited. These two take romance by storm. Suny learns life is not always about yourself and sometimes you have to change your ways and actually want to change and Isabel learns passion can be a good thing.

It was a good story, though the hero seemed a little two-dimensional for much of the story. The twist at the end was interesting for a resolution and it is worth reading. My only qualm is that the twins are 7-going-on-8 and there actions and dialogue reads much younger. They come across, to me, as being closer to 5 years old. So every time their age was mentioned, it pulled me out of the story and I was wondering if they were suffering from developmental delays or something. It is a minor qualm, but it did reduce my enjoyment of the story.

I enjoyed much of this novel, but there were parts that really tested my willingness to suspend disbelief. In some ways, the hero's development was hard to buy into, but the ending had me raising an eyebrow. Despite my criticisms, however, I felt it was an enjoyable read!

Enjoyable historical romance. Didn't see the ending at all very enjoyable. Will read more by this author.

Okay, first, I’m not a fan of the manwhore, which the H decidedly is, so he’s a tough sell for me, though I applaud the author not having him instantly changed by the presence of the h, which would have been out of character. The story of the romance between our h and His relatable and interesting. The twin girls are adorable and well written. I would have liked to see more of the doctor, but I suspect he will have a story of his own. Nice twist to the HEA, overall a good quick read. I received a free arc in exchange for an honest review.

DNF. I’m 35% into the book and I’m bored. Nothing has happened, except we see Adam, our hero, be a selfish jerk while whoring his days away. We also meet Isabel, who has a mysterious past that I’m pretty uninterested in discovering. This read was not for me.

While I hate books with sex scenes with OW, I found that if you skim the first few chapters and ignore the heros thoughts about what he has done with other women I liked this book. The heros exudes charm and you can’t help but like him especially after he begins to clean up his act. I liked the heroine a lot. I love it when the heroine isn’t a virgin. Anyway I would not call this a safe book to read (even after he sleeps with the heroine he attempts to sleep with two other women but does not go through with it either time) but it did end up being enjoyable. Also he should have grovels more at the end.

I received a copy of the book for a honest review from NetGalley. Let me start by saying I did not care for Isabel as a character she was rude and annoying to start. Sunny was I guess you could say a typical man. The story in the beginning was slow and I actually almost stopped reading. The ending was the books redeeming factor I loved the little twist that was added at the end. It of course has a HEA.
