I enjoyed Bandit's Bride, because the story line was very refreshing with very detailed description. Thanks to Netgalley, for this free copy my opinion is my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it was quite original, and very well done! I loved the world building, it came alive just a few sentences into the first page and kept me hooked until the end. This was well written, detailed enough to come alive, but not over done. I very much enjoyed it, thank you for the opportunity to review this work!

I am voluntarily submitting my honest review after receiving an ARC of this ebook via NetGalley.

This historical romance novel features a Jacobite rebel who has emigrated to the New World for a chance at building a new life after the death of his wife and unborn child. But before his new life has even begun, a vengeful woman falsely accuses him of the crime of seduction--a weighty charge that in 1913 could cost him his freedom unless he can prove his innocence. Once the plot is set in motion, this book is a light, fast read with a lively plot and unusual characters. Fans of historical fiction, particularly those who enjoy frontier fiction, will really enjoy this fun, quick read. This is the first Gail MacMillan book I've read, but I plan to go back and read more books in the Riverhaven series.

Thank you Netgalley, Wild Rose Press, and Gail MacMillan for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this lovely historical romance,. Featuring a lively set of characters, of course they would be lively they're mostly Scots, MacMillan goes on to tell the story of Brodie, a rake of a man that has been framed for "seduction" which I just had to giggle about because although I realize it was and is a real thing, based on the character;s description, some of us would be too happy to fall and be seduced by Brodie. Matching Brodie's rakish ways, we are introduced to Louisa, who brandied as a witch by the town, lives a quite life until Brodie crashes into it bringing with him danger and mischief.

It was a bit of a slow start but once I got started I had a hard time putting this down. It's a clean romance with a good plot, well written characters, and great banter between the main characters.
