This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Henry and Ruth. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.

A feel good romance between a quirky and awkward Ruth Bateman and intense and standoffish lawyer Henry Mancuso. In Farham's well drawn and detailed descriptions, we get to enjoy this story of friendship which evolves to a cute and sweet lovestory. The characters are well written. You just cant stop yourself from falling in love with them. The narrative is charming which makes you smile all the while.
A contemporary lovestory for everyone and anyone.

The premise of this book sounds lovely, but it was a little bit slow for my liking and I found it hard to plough through. Such a shame.

3.5 stars - a sweet, slow, safe romance. No sexy times, no unnecessary angst. Just two people finding themselves and each other and falling in love slowly over time. She is a quirky ray of sunshine, who is getting unwanted texts from a coffeehouse. He is the buttoned up, semi-neurotic lawyer representing her in a class action lawsuit. Just a feel good romance.

A truly captivating story that draws you in from page one and keeps the momentum building through to the end. The story was cleverly laid out with the chapter titles providing a timeline in which to invision the events as they transpire. I felt more of a connection with the characters and their experiences, almost seemingly becoming a part of the story itself.

This is the first book by this author I have read and am glad I took the chance on an author I was unfamiliar with...she's now permanently on my short list of authors to watch out for future releases.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

4.5 Stars!

It’s a rare book that charms me so completely from the first page, all the way until the last. A Case of Serendipity is a delightful, refreshing story about two people falling in love that is a departure from the abundance of insta-love and alpha males so frequently offered up these days.

Despite a debilitating injury and a failed marriage in her past, Ruth Bateman is an upbeat, carefree person. But the text-message offers she gets constantly from Bucky’s Bean coffee shop are really irritating her - she never signed up for them, can’t unsubscribe from them, and doesn’t even like their coffee! In a fit of frustration, she does what any ticked-off person would do these days: posts about it on the Bucky’s Bean Facebook page.

Henry Mancuso is a serious, straight-laced lawyer who is looking for someone to be the name on the class action lawsuit he wants to file against Bucky’s Bean for gross violations of federal trade regulations. When he comes across Ruth’s post, he’s excited to find someone who’s finally willing to help him in this fight.

As they work together, Henry and Ruth begin to realize that this annoying situation may just be the best thing that ever happened to them both. Henry and Ruth are a little beat up by life - Ruth, more so than Henry. (Actually, Henry’s past wasn’t as well explained as Ruth’s...and other than his college girlfriend breaking up with him and moving on quickly, I’m not sure why he was still hung up on what she did to him over ten years later.) But the thing I loved about them both was that even though life had done these kind, good people wrong, they didn’t let it stop them from living. Henry may have been a bit of a workaholic, and Ruth a bit of a loner, but neither of them was sitting around licking their wounds, dwelling on what went wrong. When their interest in each other began to develop, it was sweet and heartwarming to see them take those cautious first steps towards having more in their life.

This story does move at a leisurely pace - it’s a very character driven story, with as much about them growing as individuals than as a couple. Were the characters not so utterly charming, the writing so flawless, and the dialogue so entertaining, it may have been boring. But it wasn’t. And it wasn’t just the hero and heroine I loved, it was the side-characters as well: from the slightly eccentric elderly neighbor who tells Ruth to invite Henry over for dance lessons, to Henry’s carefree, younger brother who hassles him the way only a younger brother can, every character was delightful. Well, except Ruth’s ex-husband and Henry’s co-worker - but even they were more amusing than villainous!

The only thing that somewhat disappointed me about this book was the slightly abrupt ending. We never really know for sure what happens with the lawsuit, and the epilogue - while it does tie things up nicely - was a scant couple of pages. However, it may be that I loved Henry and Ruth so much I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye once the last word was read. And that doesn’t happen for me very often.

Ruth is getting a bunch of unwanted text messages and Henry is the lawyer who is set to convince her to sue Bucky Beans. When things take a twist it seems that there is more to it then just a few unwanted text messages. Can they work together for a common goal and keep things professional?

This book is a first Point of view, however its when both main character so that being said if your not a fan of POV like I am because you feel like its lacking thats not the case with this book since both are stories are being told. I was overall not a big fan of this book. Yes I will agree with other reviews I have read the love story was super sweet. I felt that the author repeated herself a lot and also I felt like the story dragged on way to long. I also did not like the way it ended. In the end I was like are you kidding me. This book does have some strong language, however there are no adult scenes in this book.

A Case of Serendipity is a romance about Henry, a lawyer, and Ruth, who is getting unwanted and unsubscribed texts from Bucky’s Beans coffee. Henry is trying to to find someone to be his lead plaintiff in a class action lawsuit against the company when he comes across a public complaint posted by Ruth on Facebook. The premise of this book is so original and I really enjoyed it. It continues with Ruth being named lead complainant on the lawsuit, Henry and Ruth meeting in person accidentally and follows the trials and tribulations of starting a new relationship. This is a sweet and fun book which is very well written. I will definitely read more by this author.

Loved this light contemporary romance. It was just too darn cute and adorable. Both Ruth and Henry's characters were so relatable and honestly I was rooting for these two. Couldn't decide who I liked better between these two, the jovial Ruth or the uptight Henry. The author has beautifully sketched the characters and narrated the story and kept the flow of the story so grasping that my fingers keeping turning the page until I was done with the story. A perfect weekend read .This was the first time I read a story written by Farnham and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be reading more books by this author in future. Would definitely recommend this delightful story!
