What a dynamic way to end the series! I thought that more than the other books in the series, Sweet Little Lies has a relevancy and timeliness that is not common in romance. Friends-to-lovers is (again) one of my favorite tropes and watching Mica and Lance struggle with the boundaries of their relationship vs. the desires of their hearts had my stomach in knots in the most delicious way. I really appreciated the care and sensitivity that the author employed to deal with the plight of Mica and her family, as well as the very real issues that Lance and she would face as individuals from vastly different cultures and backgrounds. While Sweet Summer Love and Sweet Disaster still reign supreme as my favorites of the series, Sweet Little Lies was a masterful way to conclude the series and I look forward to reading more from Sierra Hill! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

"Sweet Little Lies" by Sierra Hill

It was an easy read. It was entertaining, but nothing special. I would recommend it if looking for something to read on the beach or before bed; it's a light read. Not the most exciting, but entertaining enough.

This was quite a good sports romance. Lance and Mica are friends but both want more but he does not think he is good enough for her as he is a bit of a player never looking for anything serious and she does not do casual and Mica cannot act on her feelings because her family won't approve of her being with someone who is not Mexican. They do end up together and are in love but will they last or will her family get in the way? A really good read I liked getting to know these two and enjoyed their story

I received an arc from Netgalley. While I like this author I just could not get into this book. Maybe it was a disconnect with the age group of the characters or the difficult content but it was not a book I enjoyed.

Sweet Little Lies by Sierra Hill is part of her The Sweetest Thing series and can be read as a standalone. This was my first book by the author and this series and I am looking forward to reading more from this author. It was emotional and heartwarming.

I loved Mica Reyes and her story! I was her! I was the first person in my very Mexican family to all for a, gasp, gringo! It really is a hard thing to do! I loved how her and her family were portrayed! She wants to be her own person and follow her dreams, even as she loves her family and wants to respect them.

Lance Britton is a college basketball star, but he also hides so much. He carries these things that weigh on him and will eventually bring him down. He was a good guy with so much haunting him.

Both Lance and Mica have so many responsibilities and expectations. Mica’s family is very traditional and have plans for her. Lance has a reputation with the ladies, but when he finally manages to spend time with Mica, the sparks fly. But Lance is not in a good place. Can he let Mica in or will he lose her forever?

I really enjoyed Sweet Little Lies. It was a sports romance with all the feels, real issues and hope. There is so much going on! It was angsty, heartbreaking and sexy.

Happy reading!

This book was SO much fun! I honestly wasn't expecting a lot that happened and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised multiple times while reading this! I loved the concept of the off the rails party boy Lance pinning after an out of his league good girl- Mica who happens to have suppressed feeling for him as well!
Mica and Lance were absolutely adorable and I loved the way their romance grew and progressed over time!! I personally love a good game of cat and mouse between two characters and the sexual tension between them made it nearly impossible to put this book down! I really liked how this book also touched on the importance of race and how different families viewed their relationship (because Mica was Mexican and Lance was white) and I thought it only added to the depth of the story.
This book was the perfect amount of intense and steamy as well as sweet and heart wrenching and I LOVED every bit of it! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book when it comes out!! I highly recommend to readers that love a steamy romance with a broken leading man and a strong sensitive leading lady that only make one another stronger when they find one another!!
