A well written and detailed book about life on the farm after the death of his wife. Raising a 4 year old, and having two older daughters in and out of his life (obviously life elsewhere), is the backbone of this book. I like the written voice, and feel like I am in the room while he is telling stories here and there. There is a natural progression, but each chapter is another story he is telling the reader. I know very little about him and his wife except for the sad bits that were shared on the news during her last year. I have also not read the previous book, so perhaps would have made more sense on some of the details here in this one. Still overall, I enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend this sweet story. Great read.

Well written. Real life. Family.. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, Heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.. An honest look at life after the death of someone so very loved and their impact on life ongoing. Definitely worth reading.

Have a box of tissues ready. This is quite a book. Part country life, part country star, but mostly love to his wife and children. Read his first book as well. Both not to be missed.
Thank you to author, publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read this book.
While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

I didn’t know much about Rory Feeks story going into this book..... I found it to be an honest reflection of a beautiful yet painful time in his life.
Very well written.
