This is the second book in the series, I would recommend you read the first one to get the feel of all the characters. As the first one gives you an insight into Dom and Tenny.
Abloutely loved everything about these two. Its clear these two damaged souls need each other. Tenny and Dom grew up together in a foster home at a young age. So they have a strong bond already in place come adults when they become best friends. Tenny works for Dom as his PA. Dom without realising he is doing it has already formed his life around his bestfriend. The only thing he hadnt caught onto is that he is deeply in love with her. Tenny on the other hand knows exactly how she feels. I loved how the author didnt force these two together. She let the chemisty and mistakes they made towards each other speak for them.
I cannot wait until the next book in the series.

Tennyson Clark has been holding out hope that her best friend would see her as something more for long enough, it's time to finally let that wish go, and move on and get a life of her own. Lurking in his famous shadow, playing the part of his personal assistant has allowed her to see things she wished she hadn't and also shown her that the crush she has harbored for him is not reciprocated at all, in his eyes she will always be his best friend. Day after day she has wished she would see a spark in his eyes, that was meant for her, but nothing lies there other than the caring look you would have for your sister, and it hurts like hell. So, she decides to make some changes, first up is finding a man, then a new job that will allow her to put her degree to work, and lastly detach herself from Dominic's side. But just as she starts to get started on her new life, Dom decides to intervene, and throw a wrench in her plans. He's not ready to let her go, and he will stop at nothing to keep her by his side where she belongs!

The moment Tennyson tells Dom that she is leaving his side to create a new life of her own, panic settles in, so much of his life has revolved around her and their friendship, and now she wants to walk away from that. How is he suppose to maneuver throughout the season without her handling things for him, she says she will help find her replacement and train them well, but no one will be as good as she is, no one understands him like she does. Then if that isn't tough enough to deal with, she decides to start dating, and that is just the icing on the cake, the idea of someone else being at the center of her world, stealing her time and attention, puts him over the edge... he knows he has to do something quick before he loses her for good!

Scoring Off the Field, is not only a best friend becoming lover novel, but also a boss-employee one also. So good!

This book has one of my favorite tropes, friends that fall in love.
Although Tenny has been in love with Dominic for almost as long as she's known him.

The chemistry in this book was great, there was humor, the romance was also fantastic. While the intimate scenes got a little more descriptive that I prefer, it also wasn't what I would call too descriptive.

This is a good example of how to use tropes in the right way. This book was full of them, and it was a great read.

Loved this book! This is the very best that the "friends to lovers" genre has to offer. Tenny and Dom met when they were both in foster care - Tenny after she was taken from her abusive mother and Dom after his parents died. They immediately formed a tight bond that they kept for fourteen years, even though Tenny has been secretly in love with Dom for most of those years. She's too afraid of jeopardizing their friendship to tell him, but what she doesen't count on is the impact her resigning as his PA has on their relationship.

This novel has highs, lows, and emotions that tug on the heartstrings. I cared about the characters and felt invested in their story. While this is a somewhat predictable tale, the way the author told it made it feel unique. Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
