I could not put this book down, as torn by the story as I was and needing to find out how all the stories ended. There are stories within the main one of a reunion of five long term friends who are reuniting at the twenty-fifth anniversary of one of the friend’s cancer treatment. Each one is dealing with their own personal dilemmas which also touch upon the lives of each other. The ending blew my heart apart, unexpected and unanticipated but fitting within the context of the whole book.

This book is a powerful testimony to friendship and how one thing positive or negative can have repercussions for everyone involved.

It is a wonderful first novel that does something very rare for a novel of this type. It left me wanting to know more about the future. Usually I finish a novel and that is it. But this particular novel left me wondering what would happen to the characters.

An excellent job and I look forward to more from this talented new author.

A sweet story of friendship that has lasted decades. I loved how the story was told through every main character's viewpoints, I felt that gave it much more depth.

I absolutely loved this novel which was about a close-knit group of high school friends gathering together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Becca's cancer survivorship. The author explores how Becca's illness affected all of them, past and present. There are several main characters, and each of them is believable and easy to relate with. I was worried about being able to keep them all straight, but the author drew her characters so clearly that it wasn't difficult at all. I was honestly intrigued by all of their stories and wanted to keep reading to find out how they all made out in the end.

Sweet story of friends reuniting to celebrate their high school friend's 25th year as a survivor. The book took me right back to high school and made me reflect on the friendships I had then and how they have shaped me. THE CAST is well-written with delightful and realistic characters. I look forward to more from Amy Blumenfeld.

Thank you netgalley for allowing the ARC.

I really enjoyed the story.

I absolutely adore novels with lifelong friendships. I lost a friend to leukemia in high school. I was able to relate to the story in many ways.

I highly recommend this book. I look forward to rewarding more from Ms. Bluemenfield.

There's not much more important in life than good friends. When Becca is 15 she suffers from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and her family and tight knit group of friends fear she might not make it. One day the friends make Beca tape modeled after a Saturday Night Live show to try and cheer her up and thus The Cast is born.

Fast forward 25 years, Beca is happily married to Nolan and has a precious daughter Emma and best friend Jordy has planned a reunion of the cast to Celebrate Becca. But Beca has a secret she is keeping from The Cast and a crack is forming in her relationship with Nolan. Decisions made during the reunion weekend will change the lives of The Cast forever.

I really liked this book! I was interested in the story lines of all of the cast members, Seth, Lex, Holly and Jordanna - not just Beca's. I found Beca and Nolan's issue to be in interesting one and not one that I had seen tackled in fiction before. I did wonder many times while reading how often that is an issue in a relationship.

Overall an interesting, entertaining read!

This book is exceeding my expectations. i thought this would be another slice-of-life story, centering the then terminally ill character, but it’s not. It is about the journey they have when they were growing up, about the choices, the heartbreak, the betrayal. The book also capture that when your loved ones is sick, especially with the serious-terminal illness, it will also affect you too. And it’s okay to be scared, it’s okay to be exhausted once a while.

I also love how the author portray the main characters, it’s realistic. Except the mommy and daddy of Becca that I think is too good to be true.

Thank you netgalley and publishers for providing the arc.
