This book is just what the doctor ordered! When I was going through one of the hardest times of my life, this book was a great pick me up that was able to take into a world of heartwarming romance that I didn't want to leave. I enjoyed this title along with others of her's & highly recommend checking this author out if looking for a good romance novel.💜

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason

Sandpiper Shore was a cute story! It was very entertaining, although the back of book synopsis is a little deceptive. The things mentioned don't even happen until probably halfway through the book. SO much else happens, and it was quite enjoyable (albeit a bit hard to believe)! I don't want to spoil anything, but I loved the baby sandpiper scene. Debbie Mason's writing is lovely, and I'm excited to read more of the books in this series! This was my first, and while I didn't feel lost, I would like to get to know some of the other characters better.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the 6th book in the Harmony Harbor series, featuring the eldest Gallagher cousin Logan and matchmaker Jenna Bell. I personally love this series! It’s a fun, light contemporary that you can read in one-sitting, HEA guaranteed, and always leaves you smiling. In this installment of the series, Jenna Bell has a real-life Cinderella moment after her belief in love is dashed by her two-timing fiancé, but her Prince Charming doesn’t believe in happily ever afters.

Jenna is a wedding planner, but she has a secret gift of her own. She can look at a couple and be able to tell if they are soulmates. It’s a little quirky and endearing in my opinion. Too bad it doesn’t work on herself. She could have saved herself a lot of heartache. After her fiancé breaks the news that he is with her step-mom (gag me), Jenna has a one-night stand with the delectable Logan Gallagher. She isn’t ready for more though and their relationship moves into friends territory.

Logan isn’t the marrying kind. He’s more married to his job than anything, yet he finds himself in over his head where Jenna is concerned. Moving her to the friendzone is safer for the both of them in his opinion. Then an accident leaves him with amnesia and mysteriously engaged to the woman he was sworn to protect.

The plot for this book is a little all over the place. There are many threads that eventually combine. However this doesn’t distract from the enjoyment of the story. Sandpiper Shore is more than a romance, it’s mystery and intrigue, and some adventure mixed in just for fun. And I can’t forget the ghostly Colleen who is stuck in a limbo of sorts as her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren decide what to do with her estate. If you enjoy contemporary romance, I highly recommend this one. It will make a fantastic beach read this summer.

“It’s hard enough to be dumped a week before your wedding, but to be dumped for your stepmother…”

Sandpiper Shore is the sixth wonderful installment in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series. It’s the story of CIA Agent Logan Gallagher and wedding planner Jenna Bell in a rollicking mishmash comedy of errors.

As the story opens, Jenna is in Harmony Harbor to have her final dress fitting at her sisters’ shop, Tie the Knot, when she discovers that Lorenzo, her scumbag fiancé, is dumping her for her stepmother. Still dressed in her bridal attire, Jenna runs from the shop when she loses her glass slipper and almost gets hit by a car. This is how she meets Logan as he rescues Jenna from the vehicle and, in a scene reminiscent of Cinderella’s, he places her shoe back on her foot on bended knee. Then, Logan punches Jenna’s ex-fiancé – which Lorenzo richly deserves but which comes with unwelcome consequences like being arrested and doing irreparable damage to Logan’s career. That’s not all. Now, mix in Pippa, a cute baby Sandpiper crane rescue, a Princess with her own agenda, a valuable engagement ring that keeps disappearing, an attempt at pole dancing, wedding preparations on steroids, a strange case of amnesia, a town of matchmakers and a meddling ghost and you will wonder if true love stands a chance in the oft-times hilarious chaos.

OMG, I loved Jenna and Logan together. Neither is looking for true love when it smacks them in the face. It wouldn’t be a Harmony Harbor book without Colleen Gallagher, the Gallagher’s matriarchal meddling spirit; her feline partner in crime, Simon; and Colleen’s former right-hand man and confidant, Jasper. I also enjoyed that Shay, Michael and crazy Cherry played huge supporting roles in this story. LOL! Cherry certainly means well, but the appropriateness and positivity of her influence is questionable.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Sandpiper Shore:

“Hey, Cinderella, you lost your shoe.”
---
She tipped her head back. “Look at that sky. I forgot how beautiful it is here at night.” Her voice fell to a whisper. “Silently, one by one in the infinite meadows of heaven, blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.”
He smiled. “Evangeline.”
---
“Trust me, no woman in their right mind would give up the chance to have sex with Logan Gallagher. Ho or no ho.”

Sandpiper Shore can be read as a standalone if you insist. That said, each of the books in this series have been delightful and I do believe that your enjoyment of the books may be increased if you have developed an affinity with the unique, realistic and quirky characters who appear throughout the series.

I want to live in the small town of Harmony Harbor and to claim a hot Gallagher for my own! Debbie’s storytelling is great, keeping me riveted to the pages from the beginning through to the end. The dialogue is clever and laugh-out-loud humorous; and the story is action-packed and teeming with surprising twists and turns. If you believe in fairytale happy-ever-afters, this is the book for you! My next visit to Harmony Harbor can’t come soon enough!

This was the first book in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series that I’ve read, but after finishing it, I’m ready to read the rest! From the beginning, I immediately found myself immersed in Jenna’s story and it was hard to put the book down. I rooted for Jenna and Logan all along. Mason writes so descriptively that it was hard not to love them. My only complaint, having not read the rest of the series, was that there were lots of different facets within the plot to keep track of. I feel that if I had read the preceding books and already knew the characters better, it may have been a little easier to follow along with, but that still doesn’t stop me from rating this book with 5 stars! It was a fun love story with an added intensity of mystery and drama, but it didn’t kill the blossoming romance between Logan and Jenna. Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

Received in exchange for a honest review.

This was sweet. Logan has you swoon with that Cinderella moment and how he wanted to protect Jenna.

I loved watching these two get to know one another over text. Logan was good for Jenna. He helped build her confidence and have her see she is worth so much more than she believes. Jenna helped Logan see how to open his heart and give into love. She was his lobster.

Logan and Jenna were great. He is kind, sweet, honest and loyal. She is loyal and gentle. You can tell she had a good heart. It was hard to see her harden it because of all that happened to her. Her ex was a jerk and her sisters were close to that. i know she made mistakes and that they were angry over her mom but don’t take that out on Jenna. Each moment that these two are together is filled with sweet tender moments. They have us laugh and smile. I loved the ending. So what had them not be together right away? The wonderful twist that Debbie Mason put in their story. Poor Logan and Jenna. I hated seeing them both in the dark really. But watching them find their way to the truth and how Jenna risked it all for love was just precious. Logan was more understanding than I expected. I expected him to forgive but he did more. He was really used and that was sad to see because he trusted those around him when he was on the job. It worked out in the end and we get a fun, sweet, intimate tale where the one who wasn’t going to fall in love does and meets the girl who believes in happily ever afters and the journey they go through for their is genuinely sweet and tender.

A quirky case of I do, but I don't! Various tidbits of humor spread throughout a complex plot coming together to form a large mystery and revelation. You have to be willing to spread your mind to fully appreciate a lot of the aspects of this series ... but if you can, it's cute and has a lot of great characters in if. Enjoyable!

Matchmaker turned wedding planner Jenna Bell's life has been in a bit of turmoil of late. Snookered out of her true desire, betrayal by one she thought shared her future, secrets revealed that break her heart yet again. She's not so sure she can handle one more thing on top of it all ... especially when that one more thing is planning the wedding of the man she has been crushing on and thought reciprocated her feelings!

Secret service agent Logan Gallagher comes from a naturally dramatic family. There always seems to be something going on at Greystone Manor, so it should be of no surprise to add one more thing to the list. He isn't sure why the wedding planner seems so out of sorts with him, but he's going to get to the bottom of what he can't recall before it's too late!

The synopsis does not do this one justice, and I’m so glad I stuck with this series to get to this book! It was super cute and fun, and for whatever reason much more engaging than the previous installment. I loved Jenna and all her quirks!

I have chosen not to finish or review this title. As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. Unfortunately, I am not able to rate the book favorably and have chosen to leave the book unfinished.
Thank you,

Debbie Mason's Sandpiper Shore was simply magical. I laughed, I swooned, I wanted to knock some sense into Logan for at least half of the book.

Jenna Bell had me wrapped around her pinkie finger for the entire book. After a public and painful break-up, Jenna comes to the conclusion that she's not meant to have a fairy tale romance. Although she's given up on her own happily ever after, Jenna is still determined to help others find theirs, even if it means giving them her perfect wedding. After a night of pure bliss, watching the one man she's had a crush on forever marry another woman might be more than Jenna's heart can take.

Logan finds himself in a bit of a predicament. For starters, he's the next bachelor project. The local matchmakers are determined to find his perfect match. Then there is Jenna... He's instantly drawn to her and he doesn't quite know what to do with the attraction between them. If that wasn't enough, he suddenly finds himself engaged to a princess. The odds seem stacked against him as Logan tries to find the truth behind recent events at the manor.

I fell in love with Jenna and Logan the moment they appeared. Jenna has the biggest heart and watching it get broken pretty much broke me. If there ever was a character that needed someone to stand with her, it was Jenna. I felt bad for poor Logan, especially after the accident. It was difficult knowing that he has feelings for Jenna, but he honestly can't remember them. That was the one thing that I had problems with. Logan's family knew something wasn't right, but instead of speaking up, they let things unfold. I wished one of them would step up and tell him that maybe he should slow things down because it wasn't quite adding up. Other than that, I freaking loved Sandpiper Shore. I always look forward to visiting the Gallagher's and seeing what mischief Colleen has gotten herself into. Now the wait for the next book begins.

Jenna Bell, a wedding planner, believes she is psychic and can tell when a couple is a perfect match. Thus, one can only imagine how she feels when her own fiancé dumps her for her step-mother. When this happens, Jenna runs off and is almost hit by a car—but is rescued by Logan Gallagher. Jenna and Logan, a Secret Service agent who is married to his career, hit it off almost from the start. In addition, the next big glitch is that Logan is about to be married to someone else. Now what happens? Can Jenna and Logan overcome the obstacles that lie in the way, to find true happiness?

This story is pretty good, entertaining and rather cute, but there is an awful lot happening--almost too much (e.g. a nosy reporter looking for a story, a cute bird, amnesia, a real princess, and Jenna’s step-sisters). Still, it seemed inevitable from the start that Logan and Jenna would have a thing, but the many obstacles they found in their way almost made me wonder, at times, whether the thing really would happen. I began to wonder whether what was happening was even plausible, though it all was interesting, cute and made for a good tale. The book is well done, as I expected it to be, based on the author’s past books, but it will not be my favorite of hers, nor of the series. Still, it makes for a delightful read, with a mix of just about everything you could want thrown in. This will be a great relaxer, vacation or beach read or a book a reader can pick up when he/she is looking for something a bit preposterous/humorous, but interesting enough to hold his/her attention. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

Oh my goodness.!!! This book has been inducted to my top 5 list and it was unbelievable how this booked sucked me in and the events that transpired were even more crazy.

Let me just start by saying how honored I am to have read such an intense, delightful, and heartwarming about a woman with a special gift as a matchmaker. This story gave me such an afterglow and it just made me gooey inside. When I read a good book, it tends to have some side effects including but not limited to: smiling, crying, shouting at my husband about how good it was, staying up all hours of the night thinking about said story, and finally almost calling in to work sick because I want to roll around in the afterglow. Jenna and Logan had chemistry right when he saw her running down the street in a wedding dress and right down to the very last word. There is a ghost in this story but don't worry, it adds to the story.

I really don't have anything negative to say about this story beside the surprise of the ghost. The kind of threw me through a loop, but I ended up enjoying the contribution to the story. I really wanted to hit Jenna upside the head with the glass shoe that she kept losing because she really wanted to impress her step sisters. Now that I am thinking about…this is kind of a Cinderella story with a twist and a ghost. It had a solid storyline, suspense, romance, and a great hero to top it off.

This book touched my heart and I empathized with Jenna and my heart ached for her little bird Pipa. This was truly an inspirational story about love, courage, and faith. It was a thrilling ride with twists and turns along the way.

Debbie Mason never disappoints me. Each new book in each of her series brings its own kind of quirk and the stories never lack adventure and fun.

I do think that the blurb is a little misleading this time around but not in a way that ruins the story but rather just makes it that much more surprising when you read it.

I feel like this wouldn’t be a true review of a Debbie Mason book without me making a comment about the Hero being a bit of a jackass but I’m happy to report that most of Logan’s jackassery (it’s a word because I say it is) was by no fault of his own. I simply adored him and thought he was the perfect match for Jenna.

This was a perfect summer read and a perfect addition to the Harmony Harbor series. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!

In Debbie Mason's Sandpiper Shore, the 6th installment in the Harmony Harbor contemporary romance series, this sweet and heart-warming romance will bring tears to your eyes and believe in magical fairytales. For Jenna Bell, she always wanted a fairytale romance and to find her prince charming. As a matchmaker and wedding planner, she had thought she had found the one, when her fiancé Lorenzo dumps her before her wedding. Then she becomes a runway bride of sorts in her wedding dress and runs into Logan Gallagher, a Secret Service agent on detail for Princess Isabella. Not only did he save her life twice, they become connected and save a baby sandpiper from the shore. With Jenna's TLC to take her under the wings, she deals with trying to please her stepsisters to win their love and a ruthless cop who has it in for Logan's family. Meanwhile Logan's great-grandmother Colleen makes a ghostly appearance and had kept family secrets in her book she had written. After Logan gets into a car accident, he has amnesia and supposedly engaged to Isabella. For the two of them, they became entangled into a mess of ruthless criminal and her maddening ex-fiancé who runs his ring back. In the end, after the spell had been literally broken, they realize they were meant to be together with a happily ever after for her own to remember.

This book was awesome, It was the first time that I had read a book by Debbie Mason. From the first page this book hauled me in and had me in its grasp until the very last page. The very first thing that I did was look for the prior books in the series and get them added to my kindle. In those pages, I quickly found an author that I had to continue reading, I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't put it down. Poor Jenna! She is so identifiable because who doesn't have crazy family members. So glad things quickly turned around for her when she met Logan. This entire book was a blast!

3.5 stars for Sandpiper Shore; it would be 4 stars if I had read the previous books in the series. Lots to like in the lighthearted romp; cute characters, humourous situations, great beach read if you don't take yourself seriously! Unfortunately, I couldn't follow a lot of the plot due to this being my first Harmony Harbor book. So, I highly suggest that you read these books in sequence.

Harmony Harbor #6, I found the blurb on this one a little off, Jenna is a matchmaker, she owns a successful business with her stepmother until recently, she's engaged to the perfect guy until he walks in into her stepsisters dress shop and tells her the weddings off. The next thing Jenna knows she's jobless, broke, her stepsisters hate her and the only one really on her side, besides her best friend, is Logan Gallagher who has recently saved her from her ex and from herself more than once all in the span of a half a day. Protecting people is what Logan does, he's in the Secret Service, but when he meets Jenna her damsel in distress vibe is strong and he finds he can't help himself and keeps coming to her aid. After that horrible day they maintain a nice friendship. He even helps her get the job as a fill in wedding planner at Greystone Manor. But then Logan's job calls him away and then there's a car accident and when Logan comes back he not only can't remember the last few weeks of his life including everything that happened with Jenna he's engaged. To top it all off Jenna now has to plan Logan's wedding...to a princess.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Jenna's poor life spirals out of control and nothing seems to be going right and just when she thinks things are finally going her way she gets thrown a curveball or two. This is a great Cinderella story, complete with mean stepsisters and a horrible stepmother and all Jenna ever wanted was for them to be a family. I loved the characters, especially Logan, the writing is so funny and heartwarming and with a little bit of intrigue to make it really interesting. I love Debbie Mason's Harmony Harbor series.

Jenna Bell is all the way in on her upcoming wedding: her final fitting is at hand when she gets THE call and it’s about the worst ever outcome. Not only is her groom unwilling to move forward and marry her, but he’s in love. With someone else. Her stepmother. As if that isn’t bad enough, her family is pretty much all in on the idea of love and weddings – so how badly will her own wedding planning business be hurt when word gets out. Her Stepmother? Seriously? There’s just nothing to do but run away from the dress shop – get away from it all – and the story would have been far different had she been hit in traffic. But, she is rescued by Logan, in town to meet his own woman as they are planning their wedding.

So – cute set up, and I am a huge fan of the light, airy and fun romances that Mason writes, she’s got a unique take and twist, with characters that always ring true to life. I knew that Logan and Jena would have a ‘thing’ and there would be some difficulty for both of them because each is just out of another relationship – but there were moments and situations thrown at them so hard and fast, that there wasn’t really time to breathe before the ‘next big challenge”. It was as farcical as I’ve ever read in a contemporary romance that isn’t wholly Rom Com, and even pushed the boundaries there. I found both Jenna and Logan a bit difficult to understand, and then to engage with, as there was always a new crisis or obstacle, not to mention the ‘second thoughts’ and moments of guilt, disbelief and worry. I just couldn’t. Yet I also couldn’t put it down – curiosity perhaps, or maybe that once I stopped viewing this as a ‘plausible’ story, it became one of the most enjoyable ‘what else could possibly happen’ (in the Monty Python skit way) to this couple. I don’t know if that was the author’s intention, but there you have it. Not my favorite in this series, I tend to lean toward more heart and less piling on of challenges and what would be worse situations, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
