A fun modern take on Cinderella

Sweet version of a contemporary Cinderella tale, I always enjoy a good Cinderella story and this one is pretty good. There's step sisters, a wicked step mother, a charming sexy man to come to the rescue and even a princess and glass slippers! Oh, and a spirit for the magic touches. Jenna's life seems to be going down hill fast after her fiancee breaks off the wedding just a week before the big event, she goes through numerous mishaps and oops as she tries to find her way back to her life. With help from friends and family, bird and a spirit Jenna finds her true love as well as her place in her family. A fun summer read! The only hiccup I found was the pace of the story, in the beginning I felt it was a little slow because of all the mishaps happening to Jenna but about at fifty percent the pace really snap into place and I couldn't put it down until I had finished.

What a cute Cinderella story!!

Matchmaker Jenna has had a crush on Logan since long before he became a Secret Service agent. She's great at finding other people's happily ever after but not so great at finding her own.

Mason does a great job building the believability factor in here. Logan and Jenna clearly like each other and enjoy each other's company, which is a factor sorely missing from some contemporary romances.

I love the Harmony Harbor series--I want to live there! And Sandpiper Shore is a terrific addition to this series.

Tuck Sandpiper Shore in your beach bag. You're in for a treat!

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my advanced ARC copy. All opinions are my own.

Jenna Bell has had everything in life stripped from her in one way or another, but when her Mom married Richard Bell, everything changed, she had sisters, even if they were sisters that treated her little better than Cinderella! But for Jenna, being apart of a family was everything.

But of course Jenna's luck couldn't hold, when her fiancé dumps her days before their wedding, for her widowed stepmother, who stole her match making business from her, everything her life entered a tailspin, even if meeting Logan Gallagher was the highlight of that tailspin! But even that headed down the toilet, when it turns out he is engaged to be married to a princess! But nothing is as it seems!

It's great to be reading the next book in the Harmony Harbor series, and while I'm not 100% loving the ghost angle, mainly cause they creep me out! I do love that her and her diary are the linchpin for this whole series!

Jenna's character is one that you cannot help but like from the first page of the book, but her sister, not so much, in fact by the end of the book I still didn't like Arianna all that much, though I think she will tie in well in the future.

Sandpiper Shore is well written, with surprises around the corner, so it keeps you on your toes! It has characters that you will love, and some that you will love to hate! And it has a sweet little bird, that you just want to cuddle! And this is coming from someone is freaked out by birds!

Sandpiper Shore was a total pleasure to read, and a great book for the summer! Which is why I give it 4 stars!

Having read the entire series, I believe this book to be the best so far. I really enjoyed Jenna and Logan's romance. Yes, there were many romance tropes used throughout the story but, they worked. Logan and Jenna made a great couple. They seemed to really like and enjoy each other's company.

It was fun and interesting to revisit many characters from the previous stories in this series. This was a whirlwind ride to a great romance ending. Throw in some romantic suspense, and you have a fun summer read.

Received as an ARC from netgalley for an honest review.

The fun and electric love story of Jenna who has the gift of hitting the perfect match for everyone but herself. It all gets worse when she finds Logan, an old crush, and finds out he's about to get married.
The plot is fun and situations are happening like an avalanche over poor Jenna.
With inspiration in the fairy tale Cinderella, Debbie creates a novel full of characters of the other books and with so many twists.
Only problem is that as I am not accustomed to her narrative full of different details in some moments I was a bit confused.

I wasn't sure what to think about this book when first going into this. I thought it would just be a kinda lowkey romance book where Jenna kinda steals the groom. This book turned out to be so much more and I wasn't expecting that kinda wierd thing that happens and that sorta mystery. I can't say too much about the book but I will say that it was a pretty great book and I really enjoyed it. This book was so well written and I really found myself enjoying the characters. With a character likes Jennas her life just kept going from bad to worse and you can't be but to root for the best even when things are going bad. I pretty much spent my whole morning devouring this book and I highly recommend you lovely readers to check out this book!

I have been enjoying most of the books I have read by Debbie Mason so ofcourse I couldn't wait for Sandpiper Shore.

I am so glad I read this book because it is so good. It is a quick easy read that is perfect to read in the summer out at the beach or lounging around in the backyard.

I give this 5 out of 5

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the sixth book in a series called Harmony Harbor. I have not read the previous books and did not find the lack of knowledge about the previous books a problem. Sandpiper Shore is about Jenna Bell, an erstwhile matchmaker and in the midst of planning her own Cinderella wedding, when her soon-to-be husband breaks up with her for her stepmother. This is just one more straw to break her back! Her father died. Her stepmother has stole her company. Her stepsisters put up with her. And then this - and when she runs out of the wedding gown shop, she is almost hit by a car she ran in front of and then there was the fight - oh and the dancing pole…now she is trying to manage her new reality by helping her old flame (more on her part than his) Logan marry a Princess… (Yes, a real life Princess!)

Debbie Mason has a following of readers who enjoy her series. I did enjoy the book, even though it seemed more than once that the book was a little too cluttered with things that kept happening. The main characters seemed to be fun and the book was populated with various characters that could be next in line for a book from Harmony Harbor. I did like how there was redemption for the creepy ex of Jenna’s.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason was a good read.

A delightful bit of fluff. This was my first experience at Harmony Harbor. I don't want it to be my last. I am eager to read more of this light, romantic, and exciting series.

In this new book we meet Jenna, a wedding planner who has gone through quite a lot in her life but still believes in happily ever after. Life is good, in a few weeks she will be living her own fairy tale wedding but when her fiance dumps her for her step-mother she is at a total loss. She doesn't understand what went wrong, it doesn't help that everyone around her is happy and that no one thought she should be with the man. When her now ex tries to bully her into not only giving back the ring but also her gown she can't believe it. In steps Logan, her night in shining armor, who helps her by punching her now ex in the face. Follow along as Jenna and Logan become friends and work towards being much more to one another. Along the way they have to deal with a nosy reporter, a cute bird, amnesia, a real princess, and a couple of step-sisters. Will they be able to find true love along the way or are they destine for a sad ending? This was such a charming read that had me crying, laughing, and rooting for a happily ever after in the end. I love the way this authors brings a story together with wonderful characters, a great setting, and a story line filled with emotion. I can't wait to see what is in store next for the people of Harmony Bay.

Sometimes as much as I want to I just can't read. Either I've gotten burned out and need a break, or life interrupts and you just can't focus. Unfortunately for me lately it's been my personal life that has taken me away from reading.

A month ago my mom became ill and after a little over a month she passed. During that time I couldn't read at all. I tried to read as I sat at the hospital but couldn't. Even when it was over I just didn't want to read. I will be honest with you all I was a little worried. I've never gone over a month without reading a book.

Hell, usually in that time on a slow month I would have read at least eight books and that's a very slow month.

With reviews piling up I knew I had to get back into my blog. I just figured it I could get back to the blogging and reading I'd feel better. They've always been a comfort of mine. Happily that happened with I decided to pick a author I knew who get me into their book. This wasn't a time to try someone new. I needed a sure thing.

That sure thing turned out to be Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason. From the first I've read of hers I've been hooked on her. She just writes wonderful stories with incredible characters. Sometimes they are funny, others sweet and lovable. Some a combination all three. Then you have to total shits. Yep, she has a few of those too.

Right away I was sucked into the story because of how both Jenna and Logan acted towards each other. They kept telling themselves that they didn't want a relationship but you could have fooled us. In fact they acted like they've been together forever. I really enjoyed their interactions.

This whole story was fun, if a little sad. You feel for Jenna but are happy she's not stuck with a jerk. She also has to deal with her pain in the butt sisters, one who's story is next and hasn't pissed me off since Mason's character Chloe from Kiss Me in Christmas. Part of me can't wait to see how she makes up like Arianna.

I really loved Jenna's and Logan whirlwind romance. They had many ups and downs but in the end you can't beat true love. These two are meant to be and even a certain ghost knows it. I'm so glad I read Sandpiper Shore. I'm not healed yet but it helped me on my road.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is a light-hearted contemporary romance. This latest release is the sixth installment in the Harmony Harbor series and should be read in order since there are many guest appearances by characters from previous books.

This story is about Jenna and I have been looking forward to her story but I must say that I'm really disappointed because this book was like the author decided she was going to throw several books into this one and say "screw it!" Seriously, there were so many arcs and storylines that I was losing track and had to write stuff down. I hated her stepmom. I loved Logan and thought he was a great hero. If it hadn't been all over the place - I would have given this a five!

I liked this story but I just couldn't get into Jenna's story. This is book 6 in the Harmony Harbor series and I've enjoyed several of these stories. You get to catch up with some of the previous couples but this can easily stand alone. This has a touch of psychic magic and some laugh aloud moments but was a little too cluttered for my taste. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Sandpiper Shore is the latest in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series. It is the perfect summer read. It is far more than the description indicates; if you are hoping it starts out with the planning the wedding, be patient. At its heart, this book is about finding families; though in typical Mason fashion there are a number of hijinks along the way. I always enjoy Mason’s novels and this was no exception. I’m still Team Graystone and can’t wait to see the rest of the Gallagher’s fall.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the sixth book in the Harmony Harbor contemporary romance series. Each book in the series features a separate couple so they are fine to read as a standalone. There are however glimpses with previous characters involved for fans that follow the whole series.

Jenna Bell is a wedding planner that believes she’s also a bit psychic and can see when a couple is a perfect match and that is what makes her good at her job. However, Jenna herself never expected her own fiance to dump her right before their wedding and when she runs off in her wedding dress and almost gets herself hit by a car Logan Gallagher comes to her rescue.

Jilted and upset Jenna turns to Logan for comfort after which she hopes that one night can turn into so much more. However, with danger following her over returning a wedding ring and Logan also being pushed into things from his family there is a lot of things for them to overcome.

Having read other books from Debbie Mason I am familiar with her style of writing and already a fan. Instead of characters just meeting and falling in love again in this story there is plenty of action and adventure between the pair and those surrounding them. However, some things in this one seemed to just go a bit over the top and I had a bit of trouble believing everything being tossed at them leaving me to rate this installment of the series at 3.5 stars.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

What’s worse than a bridezilla? A jilted bridezilla taking up for another jilted bride (tossed aside for her stepmother, no less), out on the street for the whole town to see. This is how Logan and Jenna first meet, when he saves her from getting hit by a car after running out of her sister's bridal shop, still dressed in her bridal attire. In spite of the Cinderella moment when Logan returns her glass shoe, and the whole rescuing her from traffic (as well as punching her now ex-fiancé), Jenna realizes that being dumped doesn’t bode well for her matchmaker career. After way too much alcohol and a pole dancing attempt, Logan rescues her again and they end up spending the night on the beach. But of course, it doesn’t mean anything. Logan has his career in D.C. with the CIA, and Jenna has her hands full repairing her relationship with her stepsisters whose bridal business is adversely effected by her cancelled wedding.

I’ve read several books in Debbie Mason’s Christmas, Colorado series, so I was honored to be invited to read an advance copy of this book. This is my first book in the Harmony Harbor series and I loved it! Mason creates such a colorful, vibrant setting and the secondary characters are amazingly unique and realistic. There was never a dull moment in this one, and I loved every step of Jenna and Logan's journey. From a cop with a grudge and a complicated step family to a rescue sandpaper, royalty and amnesia, this fabulous ride kept me glued to the pages. From laughing out loud to feeling my heart squeeze to thinking, “You have GOT to be kidding!” this delightfully entertaining book found a place in my heart for dozens of reasons. If you haven’t read Mason's work, this book is a great introduction and I wholeheartedly recommend it. And while you’re reading this one, I’ll be catching up on the other Harmony Harbor books.

I read this book on a beach vacation (which I thought was appropriate), and it was a fun read. The storyline was a little all-over-the-place, and the stepsisters had such opposite reactions to the main character from one moment to the next, that it was a little hard to believe in them as real characters. The main character and love interest were great though, and I definitely bought into their relationship. And isn't that the most important thing?

From beginning to end, this book was absolutely unbelievable. Seriously, I don't think there was anything that happened in the book that seemed like something that would happen in real life. For one thing, this is yet another book set in Harmony Harbor in and around the Graystone Inn. The ghost of Colleen Gallagher makes an appearance, and I have no problem with that--she's part of the world Mason has built and I can suspend reality enough to accept that Mason's world has the people she writes about, and a ghost. However, once the world has been built, I expect things to be believable within that world, and in this case they were not.

The book starts in a bridal shop, with a customer in tears because she was just dumped, right before the wedding. While another bride is comforting her, that bride's fiancee comes in and dumps her, for her stepmother. The second dumped bride runs out of the store and is pushed out of the way of an oncoming car by Logan, who shortly thereafter punches the ex-fiance. He asks the dumped bridge to run to the bar across the street (she's still in a wedding dress) and call his brother the lawyer. While at the bar she gets drunk and then starts pole dancing in her wedding dress--and the story continues in just this vein.

Fans of the Harmony Harbor series may want to give this one a try, just to keep up with the series, but if you haven't read the others, I'd skip this one.

I absolutely love this series by Debbie Mason. I think this book has been one of my favourites so far!! I love how she has lots of mini stories all intricately webbed within the main story. I love Jenna's character, her strengths and her vulnerabilities. Logan is an awesome leading man who is strong yet so sensitive. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a dynamic family series with a touch of quirkiness thrown in as well. I am hoping this series is going to continue as I love the characters and the plots in each story have been so different reflecting the uniqueness of each character.

Such a sweet romance that brings the forbidden and healthy attraction to the page and the eye of the reader. I have never read anything by this author before and I'm glad I was able to read this one because at first I wasn't sure if it would be my cup of tea but I was highly mistaken. I love Jenna and Logan, everything about both of them makes me want to hug them and erase everyone around them from letting them both be together and explore their mutual attraction towards each other. I am looking into reading the previous books from this series so I am happy that this novel was not a disappointment. Thank you to FOREVER for providing a copy, I am so happy I got to read and enjoy it!
