I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

A definite must read by Miranda Liasson. I loved both Colton and Sara and really enjoyed reading about their trials and tribulations. When they finally saw past the past and looked into the future, the only one that they could see was each other.

Colton. Yes he was a regular bully in high school. But, he reminded me of the little boy pulling the little girls pigtails just to get her attention because he liked her and didn’t know how to tell her. But, there were quite a few miscues between him and Sara. He doesn’t hold it against her that she blames him for her failed engagement. She always thought he was trouble and she was dating his best friend, Tagg. When his chance to maybe make her see that he was interested in her, one little lie ended it all. He has a lot to make up for and to make Sara see him as the man he is today. He has to prove himself to his Red and he totally understands why. He’ll give her time and space but, he won’t back down. All it takes is one night, the look of fear on her face and he’s stepping back. He’ll never put a woman through what his mother went through when his father was killed in the line of duty. Now, she confused, he’s miserable and it’s going to take a lot of groveling, again, to get her back in his life where she belongs.

Sara has conflicted feelings about being back in Angel Falls. She never thought that this is where she would be. Her life was planned out with Tagg until Colton ruined it all by having Valerie jump out of the cake. She trusted him to make sure Tagg was fine, home and ready for the wedding. No, Colton let him run off with the floozy. But, did she really know the trut?. Seeing Colt again, listening to his barbs, she knows that he was to blame. Until, she sees the man behind the quips, how he really treats people, how much the residents of Angel Falls respect him and the job he does. As she is starting to see a totally different side of the man that she hated for years, her feelings start to change. There is a fine line between love and hate and she may have crossed it.

Then There Was You was such and pleasant and enjoyable read. I loved the back and forth between Colton and Sara. What started off as hate, turned to love as the truth came out about a lot of things. Sara had a backbone and wasn’t afraid to give her opinions. Colt knew how to grovel, on more than one occasion and wasn’t ashamed to do it. But, it was the people of Angel Falls that truly brought them together at long last. I loved the family drama in Colton’s life, the family dynamic in Sara’s. They all played an important role in the story and brought everything together.

Miranda Liasson is a new-to-me author and I am looking forward to reading more from her. Luckily, this is the first in the series and I am really interested in seeing where she takes these delightful people. She wrote a beautiful love story that held a lot of emotions with a wonderful ending that, after reading it twice, still brought tears to my eyes.

Angel Falls sounds like such a beautiful town where all the residents know eachother and care about one another. None more so than police chief Colton Walker. When he is injured and sent to the ER, the last person he expected to be stitching him up was his best friend's ex-fiance Sara. He was so used to picking on her that he could not help fall back on his old ways. Sara now calls him out and sees a different side to the mean kid he once was.

Their enemies-to-friends relationship heats up when their sexual chemistry takes over. I loved their witty banter and what really made this special was all the extra family interactions, Nonna made me laugh and cry and there were many beautiful moments theoughout. A wonderful read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I so enjoy Ms. Liasson's books and when I saw she was starting a new series, I was very excited. She didn't disappoint at all in this first book and I will be anxious to read the next. Sara and Colton have a history, not a good one at that. We find out there's been some misunderstandings as well as some manipulation from others. Colton's teenage years weren't stellar but Sara finds out how he's really changed. Add in Sara's family, Colton's teenage sister and there are some really fun moments. Watching these two start to overcome their past and learn to trust and love each other makes this book a quick and enjoyable read. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.

Then There Was You is the first book by Miranda Liasson that I’ve read, and it certainly won’t be the last. From the first words to the last, Miranda Liasson captivated me. I fell in love with Angel Falls, Sara, and Colton. My heart melted at every turn of their story. I can’t resist these second-chance romances 😉

At the opening of the book, Sara has just returned to her home town. It’s been a year since her fiancé cheated on her two days before their wedding, and to say she is bitter doesn’t even begin to cover the gamut of emotions she’s warring with. BUT her grandmother, Nonna, has been diagnosed with dementia, and someone has to take care of her. Sara opts to be that person which is why she returns to her home town. I like Sara a lot. She’s a bit high-strung, but she’s caring and loyal to her family.

Colton is the thorn in Sara’s side and has been since they were fourteen. She blames him for her failed wedding. He was the best man and supposed to keep her ex from walking out. Really it isn’t fair of her to hold it against him, I mean her ex is a terrible guy. Colton is the police chief of Angel Falls. After a rough upbringing (understatement!), Colton has really turned his life around. He helps those in the community and is a real leader. Sara brings out the worst in him. Why? Because he feels as if she’s always been out of his league.

The premise of this story is Sara and Colton finding a way to live in the same town and not kill each other. However the enemy to friends to lovers angle is steamy. The chemistry between the two is off the charts, and I found myself rooting them along way before the plot suggested it. The dialogue is witty, and the townspeople well thought out.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I could’ve finished it in one sitting, however I thought it best to sit it down and sleep when I hit 2am. I can’t wait to read more from Angel Falls. If you enjoy contemporary, small-town, second chance romances, I highly recommend you grab a copy asap.

This was a nice feel-good contemporary romance. There’s quite a bit of drama but I loved how Sara left the small town and came back to discover many things weren’t as she’d thought. I enjoyed Colton’s character and his struggles in being okay with who he was and realizing that they could be together after all.

Sahara is coming home to help her grandmother who has Alzheimer’s. It is also the place where her fiancé left her two days before their wedding. She blames his best man Colton who should have been keeping track of him better. Also Colton was the kid the bugged her all the way through school, pulling her hair when he sat behind her and other things just to irritate her. Now to make matters worse he is the police chief and she seems to be always running into him. She also cannot figure out why everyone likes him so much. You come to find out about Colton’s childhood and how now he is giving back to the community, and as Sahara begins to see him differently especially after they kiss one night you begin to wonder was he the boy who was in love with the girl when they were younger but didn’t know how to talk to her? Now as adults can they or her get past the past and the ideas one has for someone else and start fresh? That is what this book is about and is a wonderful story with many good characters.

It is truly a wonderful book and loved the story and characters so very much.
The reality gripped me... and the humour too.
The storyline moved forward and it was very easy to follow.

When I started reading this book it was hard to put down !

Miranda Liasson knows how to bring the words on the page to life .... I felt like I was part of the story while reading this wonderful romantic story.

There's kind of a funny story with Miranda Liasson's Then There Was You. It was a bit of an accidental one-click. Don't ask me how it happened, it just did. So, there I was. I wanted to read the book, but I also wanted to wait to see how the month was going to pan out. Instead, I accidentally one-clicked it. You know that Amazon one-click syndrome? Yep, it's also happens on Netgalley.

I friggin' loved Then There Was You. It was cute. It was quirky. It's honestly everything I love about contemporary romance. I loved the characters. Not only Colton and Sara, but also the crazy cast of background characters. Colton and Sara's romance is part enemies to lovers, part second chance romance. A fabulous combination, if you ask me. The tension between them was addicting. Their chemistry simmered until an impulsive kiss throws a giant monkey wrench into their plans of ignoring each other's existence.

I just adored the hell out of this book. The citizens of Angel Falls welcomed me with their arms opened and stole my heart. I loved how well-meaning they are when they're driving Colton and Sara insane. I loved Sara's family. Between Miranda's fabulous writing style and her lovable characters, I have a feeling this series is going to be a favorite. Now I just have to wait until January for Gabby's book.

I would like to live in Angel Falls, and that's the best compliment I can give Miranda Liasson. She has created a wonderful world and peopled it with the kind of characters I can picture as friends. Then There Was You is just the right combination of salty and sweet. It has a very engaging primary couple with a compelling sweet story and a lovely happily ever after. There are complex secondary characters I find myself interested in as well, so I am looking forward to more book sin the series. I love it when the town becomes a living, breathing entity - almost a character in its own right. I believe I will visit Angel Falls often.

A cute story that lost my interest as the romance took a long time to appear. It took forever for these two to see past their prejudices to the good that was in each other. They were forever taking 2 steps forward and then 1 step back. Colton seemed to be the one making the most stupid mistakes and hurting Sara. However they both had a ton of trust issues. This story would definitely have been better had it not dragged on for so long.

I really enjoyed this book and want to read the next book in the series. Sara moves back to town to help out with her grandmother who is starting to have memory issues. Along with that is having to face the man who ultimately ended her engagement. Sara is working with her father at his medical practice and Colton is the man in question, who just so happens to be the Chief of Police.

Colton has been carrying a torch for Sara for some time and while he can't help getting under her skin, he really just wants to give it a chance. Some hot and fiery romance, sizzles off the page. A quick read that kept me engaged throughout the book!

I’m always excited to dive into a new series by an author, especially one that I absolutely love. Then There Was You, the first book by Miranda Liasson in the Angel Falls series, didn’t disappoint. There is such beauty in the way Miranda writes her novels that embraces romance and relationships in a way that is just so sweet and real.

I love when two people that you don’t think would ever fall for each other are each “meant to be”. You wouldn’t think that if you were in Sara Langdon’s shoes considering that coming home to Angel Falls was the last place on earth she’d ever want to be. Humiliated and heart broken, her fiance ditched her before her wedding for someone he used to date. Everything about her hometown was a bad reminder of everything that she thought was going to be. Never wanting to comeback, she put aside her feelings to help her grandma deal with an illness.

While on rotation on a shift at the hospital, the first person she sees is the one person who ruined her wedding. Not seeing Colton Walker since then brought back so many emotions that has her wandering if she could deal with things. Determined to avoid him at all costs, an unexpected moment happens between them that becomes a real game changer. Things happen for a reason in people’s lives and sometimes the person who might be your “meant to be” is right in front of you but you don’t realize it. You’ll have to read to find out what happens but it is definitely worth it!

Overall, Then There Was You was definitely what I’ve come to love about Miranda. I thought as always, she brought us a wonderful story that you just can’t help falling in love with. She always creates such wonderful characters and the relationships between them are always genuine and sincere. My favorite parts of the book were the grandmas. I loved the familial influences on the characters and the traditions incorporated of that unity and support. I know you will enjoy this book. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. Perhaps, maybe Rafe and Kaitlyn? Well find out. Add this one to your reading list!

I admit completely to the fact the reason I wanted to read this book was because of that beautiful cover. Something about it just screamed READ ME NOW! I love small town contemporaries and this sounded right up my alley. What I wasn’t expecting was to fall in love with this story from the very beginning. THEN THERE WAS YOU was captivating and unputdownable.

Sara has moved back to her hometown because of her grandmothers’ declining health and to work at her father’s medical practice. A year ago her fiance and high school sweetheart called off the wedding days before it was due to happen and cheated on her at his bachelor party. She knows coming back to town will mean dealing with the town’s pity over what happened, and also dealing with her ex’s best friend Colton (now the Chief of Police), whom she fully blames for enabling the cheating.

Sara and Colton start off from a place of enemies to lovers but it was just a beautiful story of these two people that should’ve been together all along. Some miscommunication and bad luck prevented that and it was endearing to see them find their way to each other now. I think this lacked the animosity I was expecting from an enemies to lovers but I didn’t feel I missed that. It’s just the perfect small town romance that I love to read at this time of year. I adored the main characters, individually and together. But also the whole cast of characters introduced in this book, which means I can’t wait to read more from Angel Falls.

This was my first time reading Miranda Liasson but it definitely won’t be the last and highly recommend you put this on your summer to-read lists.

Received in exchange for a honest review.

I didn’t fall in love with Sara as quickly as I did Colton. Why? Colton was more real and honest with himself. He was honorable and had a love for his town and his family. So much so that he gave up his dreams to take care of his aunt and sister. He took blame for something to help ease Sara’s pain and let her think better of her ex than he should. He was kind, caring, smart and fun. I loved how got Sara’s hackles raised just to get a rise out of her and how he was helping the young teen try to fix his mistakes and become something. How he believed in his town and the people in it. he was afraid though. Afraid that his job and the danger of it would hurt those he loved so he did keep people at a distance.

Sara comes back to her hometown with some anger in her but also hoping to have her dad be proud of her. To show him that she is his partner at the medical practice and that together they can be an awesome team. At first she is confused about what she wanted. Did she want to stay in the hometown and have to deal with the memories of the wedding that didn’t happen and what the town thought. Of running into her ex’s parents and of the man she thought ruined her impending nuptials Colton. Or did she want to stay in town and be there with her family.

when she runs into Colton again, it is when she has control and is in charge of helping him. Only he did get to her and set her on edge without even meaning to. She doesn’t see him for who he is only the man that ruined her wedding or not wedding. She didn’t want to lay blame on who deserved her wrath but on the best friend. The one who was loyal to her fiancee but also who she thought hated her. Only he never really hated her. He was that way because of his feelings towards her. He felt that since his best friend wanted her and he felt he owed him and his family he backed away. Than one moment in college changed it all. Sara went from giving Colton and chance to despising him. A misunderstanding that showed the true colors of her ex. And when she finds out the truth her views begin to change. She sees the man her brother is buddies with and who her grandmother loves and welcomes like family. The man who the town is fond of and protects. The caring kind loving man. The man who has earned the respect of others through is loyalty and fairness. And she gives in to her feelings. When this happens these two give us some sensual moments. Don’t get me wrong we still get entertained by them and those family dinners at Sara’s families houses but we also see the love and respect they have for one another. We see Sara begin to see her stepmother in a new light and appreciate her. She gets closer to her family and has her father show her how he really feels. She finds love a feeling of satety and home with Colton.

the story is fun and sweet. There are some intimate moments, moments of jealousy when the ex comes back but also clarity for this is when Sara really sees Colton and how much she loves him, we see Colton struggle with doing what he thinks is right and what is right for his heart, we see family and loyalty as well. We get both Sara’s and Colton’s view and I do like Colton’s more because we see the raw moments more. We see him learn to trust Sara but also be scared and do silly things. He learns from his silliness as well. Sara’s view has us see her confusion, anger and her journey to finding her father and herself but also appreciating her stepmother and falling in love even though it frightens her. A great love story that has you smile and be enthralled and entertained by the two main characters as they find their way to each other and their HEA.

I totally loved Then There Was You. The characters are wonderful. This is the start to her new Angel Falls series and I think you are going to love it.

My heart broke for Sara but felt like she blamed the wrong person for what happened in her life. It was easier to blame Colt then to truly see where the blame landed. Both her and Colt were totally innocent of fault. Tagg is the only one to blame!

These two cracked me up. It took them forever to realize that they were meant to be. One blamed the other for what wasn't his fault and the other was full of guilt. Once they started to move on from all that they finally did what we all knew they should and got together.

This is really a fun read that makes you want more from this family and town. This book helped get me though a time when my life was out of my control and I'm grateful for it's ability to whisk me away from a the bad stuff even if it was only for a little bit. For the most part this is a wonderful story, one you should really read if you love small-town romance. I did at times think that Sara was too wrapped up with what she thought Colt did to her, but I'm sure it also helped build the story.

I really enjoyed this new series set in Angel Falls, Ohio. Dr. Serafina Langdon is such a strong female character. She has been through so much yet she does not seem to let it get her down. I loved the chemistry between her and Colton Bentley Walker. This is a fun enemies to friends story. I also love the strong family ties in this story and how they deal with Nonna's alzheimers disease. I cannot wait to return to Angel Falls! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Give me a book with great characters, a well developed storyline and a small town setting reminiscent of my own small town and I’m a very happy bookaholic. Sara, our heroine, is filled with trepidation because returning to the scene of her humiliation puts her in close proximity to the man she holds responsible for ruining her life. Colton, her ex-fiancé’s best friend and the town’s police chief, is loved by one and all in Angel Falls, and that infuriates Sara to no end. The entire town is witness to Sara’s humiliation and Colton’s regret which is one of the reasons why small town dynamics are so appealing to me. Add in the drama of family dynamics and a whole town full of well meaning busybodies and there’s nothing more to do but sit down and enjoy the fireworks. It is said that there’s a fine line between love and hate, and I so enjoyed watching these two delightful characters dance around each other before fate finally helps them take the plunge into love. I read an early copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
