I'm a huge fan of Ms. Elliott and the Wanted world so this book was a great way to go back to the characters that I love and adore. Because this is taking place prior to the guys meeting the loves of their lives, it really gives us a view of who they were before their women turned their lives upside down in the very best of ways!

I must say this wasn’t what I was expecting, but none the less, it was enjoyable. The story was intriguing and held your attention. The characters were easy to relate to and connect with. Fans of the romance genre will find this very enjoyable!

I am such a fan of the ORIGINAL Wanted books!!! So, to add any other book into the series tends to bother me. If I am being honest, I was not a fan go this book. I like ho the series ends, and it didn't need more, in my opinion.

I know that is a short review, but it is what I continue to circle back to when I think of this book. The writing is still there! But I wish that the storyline could just be.. Keep the pretty red bow on it and let it be. It was perfect the way it was!

This book is almost like the prequel to the Wanted Series, but I would suggest reading it after book 3 to get the full effect and understand what is going on. This book follows Gunner, Jeff and Josh a few months before the first book "Wanted". It shows the carefree life they had before they met "the ones" and how they were ready for them. It gives a much better insight to Jeff and why he kept Ari at arms length and did the stupid things he did to make her mad.

This series just keeps getting better and better I just loved Gunner's book he is such a sweetheart. All he wanted to do is learn the ins and outs of ranching so he can take over his grandfather's ranch once he finishes college that was until he repeatedly dreamt of a faceless woman now she is all he can think about but what will he do when he figures out who she is. A must read if you have read the previous books.

You ever read something and you didn't dislike it, you just have nothing poignant to say say about it. That's where I am right now. This is more of a prequel than a new installment in this series and honestly I could've lived without going so far back after the other books.

I just finished reading Desired by Kelly Elliot. This is the second book I read from Kelly Elliot, and honestly it’s probably going to be the last. I have seen some amazing reviews for her books, so it might just be that I do not like her writing style. Because of this, I decided this post is going to be a little different. I will list the things I liked and disliked to make it easy for you to understand my point of view.

Things I liked about Desired:

1. Cool idea to have a book only from three different men’s points of view. I had never read a book like this.
2. Gunner is still the sweetest man.
3. If you like romances that are like fluffy clouds and unicorns (very very sweet) then this is a book for you.
4. It’s a good book to start the Wanted Series and see if you like it.
5. Some of the antics that these boys get up to are pretty hilarious and made me laugh out loud several times.
6. I liked seeing Jeff’s point of view more often and how protective he is of his sister. We could understand a little more why he was like that.

Things I did NOT like about Desired:

1. It is announced as book #6 of the series, and you are warned that you need to have read at least the first book in the series, Wanted. However, it is more like a prequel to that book.
2. It is very repetitive. If you have already read Wanted (first book in series) then the last 30% of the book will be exactly the same. Some scenes seem to have been copy pasted. They are the same word for word. Some are even in the same point of view. It felt like I was just rereading the book.
3. There are some dream sequences I just found weird.
4. The timeline seems wrong. In Wanted, one of the main characters, Gunner falls for his best friends sister. It was mentioned that he had only seen a glimpse of her before officially meeting her. However in Desired, Elliot has several different scenes where Gunner sees Ellie from afar. If it’s going to be a prequel or a companion novel, they have to match. Also in Wanted, both Gunner and Ellie take a while to figure out that Ellie’s brother, Jeff is in love with her best friend Ari. But in Desired, it was made very obvious before it was mentioned in Wanted. It is the same problem, they have to match story-lines.
5. It also ended very suddenly, which I guess is to make you want to read the next one in the series.
6. The last thing, is that these 21-year old boys are saying they are sick of dating and flirting girls. They are tired of one-night stands and turning down sex. Honestly, I do not know very many 21 year old men that are turning down sex and tired of flirting girls. It just doesn’t seem very realistic.

If you have not read any of Kelly Elliot’s Wanted Series, then Desired is a good book to start with and see if you like it. It was cool to read about what these boys were doing before they were featured in the other books. It gave a bit more insight into their personalities. I hope you understand my opinions, and give the book a try to figure out your own.

First, let me say that this is a cliffhanger! Desired is the story of 3 college guys, seniors at University of Texas, and their search for "the one". Josh is a manwhore sleeping with different girls almost every night; Gunner, a regular guy who likes the ladies but is not into one-night stand; and Jeff, the older brother to Ellie (a high school senior), who has a crush on her best friend Ari. These three guys seem to be representative of most college seniors. They play hard and love women. Yet each has a different approach to life. Josh has a void in his life and fills it with a different woman every night. Jeff hides his feelings for Ari by pushing her away; and Gunner literally dreams every night of a special someone. The book is written in 3 POVs and sometimes I found myself looking back to the chapter heading to remind myself whose POV I am reading. The novel is well-written and the characters are well-defined and fleshed out. But as good as this story is, I am disappointed that it is not a standalone read.
3 1/2 stars.

Loved this book!!! But first, for those who haven't read the first book of the series (Wanted), I suggest you guys read that book first before reading Desired so you can follow through the characters. Anyway, the story and the characters of this book are good! Loved it! I was hooked (yet again) from the start up to the last! I fell in love to the characters again in the series!

**This book is the 'prequel' of the series.**

Sexy. Sweet. I love this author and the stories she tells. Great chemistry. Undeniable attraction. Smoldering tension. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry i really could not get into this story. It just seemed to disorganized for me jumping from character to character, once i got ready to understand one the author would jump to a different guy. Then jump to another guy and then back to the first the guy. All of this was just to much for me. Sorry for i have read this author before and have like the other books. Once again sorry.

I enjoyed this book. It pulled you right in and kept you turning the pages. This book was well written and I had no issues following the story. It tied into the other books in the series well.

I loved how this book gave me an insight to a few questions I had from reading Wanted. Plus it sucked me right back into the Wanted world. Loved it.

Written as a Prequel to the Wanted series, but released as book 8, you may want to read the others first, or immediately after. This book takes a look at the lives of Gunner, Josh and Jeff before they all fell in love.

As told in the guy’s POV, this book is a great insight to what they were feeling while in school, lusting after the girls of their dreams, and the futures that they wanted.

I strongly suggest that you read the entire Wanted series, it is THAT good. Kelly Elliott can seriously write some feelings in her books, and makes you experience all of them.

I enjoyed the characters and their relationships. I now have to go read the rest of the series because I have become invested. Thanks to Kindle Press for the ARC of this title via NetGalley.

I have chosen to DNF this title. I was not able to connect with the characters and I felt like I was reading confusing snippets without fully developed characters.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.
