Desired by Kelly Elliott

“The prequel to the Wanted series, 4 stars”

If you’ve read the Wanted series then you already know all the players in Desired. Desired is a look into the guys lives before the girls came along. You see how each of the guys were doing and where they were at before the girls crashed into them. It was fun to see Gunner being over getting hit on, how Jeff always wanted Ari, and Josh being Josh before Heather. The only thing I disliked is there was a decent size chunk from Desired you will already know from reading the series, thus the 4 star review.

I love these men from the Wanted series!!! You definitely need to read other books in this series first or this won't make a lot of sense and will include a ton of spoilers for you. So stop, go read and then come back!

And this was an awesome look into some of their lives before/during they met their matches. And we get to see into their lives and personalities and what events have happened in their lives as college students to make them into the men of the Wanted series!

After reading this, I think I need a re-read of the whole Wanted series!

I did not finish the book. I don't want to. Why? Because I was expecting to read the sixth book in a series and not a prequel. Before the story begins the author warns that you should read Wanted in order for the ending to make sense. As a reader and someone who could have given money for the book, I want to have a warning in the blurb. The blurb made me want to read this book and I was very disappointed to find out that half of the stories won't have an ending by the time I turn the last page of this book. This book should have been listed as 0.5 not 6. This sucked.

*Received ARC for an honest review*

I'm so happy this book happened.

It was so amazing getting to know the boys before they joined the Wanted gang.

Gunner oh how I've missed you ♡♡.

Loved every minute of this book xx

Kelly Elliott has become a one click author for me. I discovered her last year and couldn't get enough. I enjoy her writing style and loved getting to dive into Desired. If you've read her Wanted Series this is a fun way to look back at some characters that you already know and love. If you hadn't read that series, Desired will make you want to.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that we got to see the thoughts of the men we've grown to love as young men. It was fun to see their personalities before they fell in love with their perfect matches. I loved seeing the bond between them.

I devoured this book in one sitting. I've read the other books in this series and I would strongly encourage readers to at least read Wanted before reading this book. In fact, reading this made me itch to go back and reread the entire series just so I could fall in love all over again. Kelly Elliott definitely worked her magic again with this book and left me with a smile on my face. I would recommend this title.

OH MY GOD!

I didn’t know how much I’ve missed this guys until I started reading this book, now I think I need to re read the whole wanted series (which would destroy my review schedule--- worth it!).

I have kept Gunner and Ellie’s story in my heart and memory since I first read about them. There was just something so special and captivating about them, that it became one of those books you can never let go.

The same goes for the rest of the gang, re-living how they met and fell for each other was such a pleasurable experience, it’s not every day that you get to fall in love with perfect love stories all over again.

How do I start talking about these characters I know so much?

Since this book is supposedly intented for readers who have already read most or the complete series, lets start with the fact that we know they are all perfect for each other. Life might put some obstacles in their way, but all of them are strong enough to beat the hell out of them, and so is their love.

For people who are just starting the series, well… I’m guessing you can’t wait to get started with the first book and find out what happens to Ellie and Gunner or Arie and Jeff. Just seat tight and enjoy, you have seen nothing yet!

Getting a glimpse of this pre-love boys we all loved was priceless. We met them when they were already behaving like men, but in this book, we get some hilarious sexcapades and some really bad decision making moments that I couldn’t get enough of.

Watching them fall hard for this group of innocent young girls was more than satisfying, I totally recommend this book! You won’t be able to stop.

This book is actually the Prequel to Wanted Series and I would definitely recommend reading this book after 1-5. This was a nice addition to the series from the guys POV. It was quick and easy and a great way to spend a couple of hours catching up with the Wanted gang.

Fans of the series are going to LOVE this book. I must warn though that if you haven't read at least WANTED first, you may want to skip Desired since it will have some spoilers to the series.

This book is the guy's life before the girls came barreling into it. I loved seeing Drew, Jeff, and Josh in college. You get to know them even more and some of the pieces of the puzzle fall in a little tighter.

This is the perfect read for fans of the WANTED Series.

A great read from Kelly Elliott, this is more of a prequel to the Wanted Series and goes back to before the girls entered the lives of Gunner, Jeff and Josh.

I loved reading what the guys got up to as this book is told from their point of view and also seeing how quickly they really fell for the girls that would soon become their everything.

As with everything I've read by this lady this book was brilliantly written although you do need to make sure you have read the Wanted Series prior to reading Desired as it does give some spoilers.

Desired is a beautiful dedication to the Wanted series, especially for all the ones who fell in love with Gunner, Ellie, Jeff, Ari, Josh, Heather and the whole family.

I have to say that I’m a bit wary of stories about all the characters I’ve met previously in a series, telling us their stories before. I don’t want to ruin all my memories I had about them. But Desired was definitely a great surprise, showing pieces of the guys before finding their forever.

While reading it, I fell in love more with Gunner and the guys (especially Gunner). Friends who were looking for more and not to settle for less, feeling like something was missing. Some might have been in denial for years, some were more sure about how they felt, and reading about them at this turning point of their lives made me smile. Sometimes I was rolling my eyes at their silliness and stubbornness but understood that each of them was trying to find their way, place and mostly someone who would complete them.

I appreciated to get to know them at this moment of their life, young, wild and carefree. A future full of possibilities, each of the guys would definitely have not expected what was going to hit them. We just had some glimpses of these possibilities, when they met their special someone.

A trip back to memory lane, just before Gunner and Ellie’s story.

It made me want to read the Wanted series once again, books I’ve read a long time ago. I reminded me how much I loved reading all these stories, about this tight-knit family, a beautiful, heartwarming journey through life.

A different perspective on these character's from Kelly Elliott. If you like the series then you'll enjoy a new look at the stories you've already read. Personally, I was expecting a continuation of the story and not a prequel of sorts. I was left a little disappointed.

First, I love the Wanted gang so whenever they come back into the spotlight, I jump right on them! They are one of my top favorite gangs to read. And of course this book did not disappoint at all. I loved getting to see the guys before they fell in love with their loves. This is not a stand alone. I feel like to be able to feel all the feels this book will give you, you need to have read the others in the series before this one. That's all I'm going to say about this book. I could gush and gush about it but I DEFINITELY don't want to give any type of spoiler!!

Book 6 in the Wanted Series but this takes us back to the beginning as it’s a prequel to Wanted and you do need to have the read the other books in this series to enjoy Desired, if you have been following this series you will love this book as we get to see the other side of Gunner, Josh and Jeff in a time before they met the love of their lives. I loved reading this story told in the boys points of view and it bought back so many memories from the book that introduced these characters that I love so much. The young Gunner, Josh and Jeff are very interesting and I loved going back to before Wanted.
Great job Kelly Elliott looking forward to more in this series

I enjoyed reading about the brothers before they married the "one" for them. It is best to have read Wanted before you read this book. Gunner, Jeff, Josh and Brad in their college days were entertaining and you can't get enough of them.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4 Stars

Kelly Elliott is one of my go to authors, and my love for her books and writing style all began with the Wanted series. Desired is just as well written, charming, and full of heart, humor, friendship and witty dialogue and banter that I've come to expect from Ms Elliott.

It's recommended that you read Desired in addition to the Wanted series. I believe it should be read as a prequel after reading at least Wanted, as it contains spoilers, possibly even after the first three titles of the series.

I loved getting the story from Gunner, Jeff and Josh, point of view of how they discovered the lovely ladies that will become their soul mates and life partners.

Overall it's a wonderful addition to one of my all time favorite series'.

Even though this is instalment 6 in the Wanted series its more like a prequel to the series. I was excited for more Gunner, Jeff and Josh. It was interesting to see what the boys were like before they met the love of their lives.

Kelly has done it again with her brilliant writing, it makes you laugh one minute and then can tear at your heartstrings the next. Gunner as always is the southern gent but Jeff and Josh made me laugh with their one night only antics, especially with Sunshine.

I now want to go back and re-read this series, oh how i missed these guys

I absolutely love everything that Kelly Elliott writes. Desired is NOT a standalone but a prequel to Kelly's Wanted series. I would recommend reading Wanted before Desired to get a little info on all the characters so it makes more sense. This book is about Gunner, Jeff and Josh before they met "The One". It was so fun to see how they acted back in college. It was nice to read about Ellie, Ari and the rest of the girls back in high school. I can't wait to see what Kelly is working on next!

Desired is listed as book 6 in the Wanted series. Desired is a prequel to book one in the series. It cannot be read as a standalone. It will seem like an unfinished book if you try to read as a standalone.

Wanted holds a special place in my heart. It was one of those books that sticks with you. You remember how you felt has you read it, you recall every detail of the characters. It was just that special. Desired was a no brainer for me to read. I loved getting to see what happened before the guys met their girls, it was a fun little bonus for me.

We get points of view from Gunner, Jeff, and Josh before and when they met Ellie, Ari and Heather. After reading Desired and bringing up all of those old feelings for these characters, it makes me want to go back and start the series all over again!

Desired is about the men of the Wanted series…it’s about who they were before they met and fell in love with the women who were meant to be theirs…it’s a look into the type of men they chose to be and then the ones they couldn’t help but be when they met the love of their lives…

It’s a prequel to the Kelly Elliott series that started it all for me, and it’s beyond interesting to see the type of guys Gunner, Josh, and Jeff were before they realized the path they were meant to journey with the one woman who they couldn’t live without regardless of the struggle it took to get there.

It definitely didn’t surprise me that Gunner was always the southern gentleman…there’s just something about the way that Elliott characterizes Gunner that screams swoonworthy charmer, and Josh was the quintessential player until he was knocked on his ass by a certain sassy seductress, and then there’s Jeff – the one who had things a bit more difficult because he didn’t know how to not be in love with his best friend’s sister but he also didn’t know what to do about that fact because there was too much on the line.

Being allowed inside these three complex heroes provides readers with a perspective that we never would have gotten had Desired not been written because to see how far these three men have come based on the pasts that were described in book 6 of the series illustrates their then and now selves and getting their stories from their own point of view doesn’t sugarcoat anything…it’s real…it’s interesting and it’s a part of these three men that clearly guided their way and perhaps even allowed them to truly understand what they wanted/needed after they were done with the kind of lives they were leading and where that ‘more’ they needed would come from if they had anything to say about it.

The younger Gunner, Josh, and Jeff are an interesting bunch, and I loved getting to know these past versions of three alpha cowboys who are beyond sexy and sweet.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when picking up this book. I’ve read and loved all the Wanted Series books. I knew one thing I didn’t want to see and Kelly didn’t disappoint.

This book shows us who the boys were before they met the girl of their dreams!

I would definitely pick up this to read before finishing the whole Wanted Series. It’s a great addition to the series!
