I love these type of books that combine art and culture and this was one of those books that you can't wait to turn the page and see what is on the next one. Amazing!!

I have always looked at Graffiti as a form of art. Yes there should be a time and place for this art instead of all over every street, building, and train in pretty mush every city I have ever been in. I have heard that a lot of the graffiti art does have meanings, I have never looked into the art to find the meaning before though.

This book by Lord K2 focuses on the the graffiti in Tokyo Japan. Did you know that graffiti is not just names and symbols. There are actually a few different types of graffiti. Stikers Grafiti is one I never heard of but part of this book.

I very much enjoyed this book and also got a graffiti education. There are tons of pictures and more. Lord K2 has done a great job of bringing Graffiti into the world of art.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Great idea. Great images. Lackluster content. The author made an effort to write about the cultural and social context of the works but the style wasn't the strongest.

This is a lovely understated book perfect as a coffee table book instead of being tucked away in a bookshelf. I'm using "understated" here because it's not as big as the usual coffee table book, and on the bright side you won't be worried about breaking your foot should you drop this. It covers sticker-based graffiti, tagging, and commissioned murals. It's photos of things I wanted to take photos of when I was in Tokyo, except I didn't want to stop walking and cause a pedestrian traffic jam. This book didn't include the more easily accessible Osamu Tezuka mural at the Takadanobaba station, or the easier anime/manga-inspired murals you'd find in Akihabara, which was disappointing at first, but this book definitely went deeper than those easy targets. This would make an excellent gift for fans of Tokyo, nontraditional art, and of course, graffiti.
