This was a great quick read and another great addition to the misadventures series. This is my first book by this author and I am hoping it will not be my last. Elizabeth Hayley did a great job at keeping the story moving and making you not want to put the book down. Blake and Gavin are great together. It’s witty and great. Keep up the great work.

I really enjoyed reading this misadventures book, it’s my favourite so far in this series. There so many great authors who have made great additions to this series of books. This one is by Elizabeth Hayley who I’ve not read anything by before. I will be definitely looking up more books by this author. I have to say the blurb for this book caught my attention and I was made up when I go this book. It was just fantastic right from the start and had me captivated straight away and totally hooked to this book. I could not put it down once I had started reading and had to read in one go. It was such a pleasure to read too. The characters are my favourite thing about this book. They really bring the story to life in my mind and they are very likeable and relatable but also really well written. The author has done such a outstanding job with the characters. They are just fantastic. I especially loved the chemistry and romance between them and throughout the story. Their interactions with each other and other characters in the book. The storyline is amazing too and overall the author has written one fantastic story fo us readers to enjoy in this amazing series. I can’t wait for more books in this series as if there anything like this one then it’s going to be a absolute pleasure to read them. Misadventures With My Roommate

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Misadventures series continues with two unlikely people becoming roommates and together they might find more than that.

I loved Blake in this book. She had no filter and said exactly what she was thinking. Even though she has been through some tough times she is so strong and not willing to take any crap. The dynamic between her and Gavin is great. He loves her quirks and isn’t offended by her when she speaks her mind. They both are able to lean on each other and take a chance on something real for once.

Misadventures is right! Blake is a wild card if ever there was one. Her unpredictable behavior, wildly inappropriate mouth, and lack of filtering thoughts and words makes her unforgettable. Unforgettable in more ways than one.

Gavin isn't sure whether this happy dance for his despair is a good thing or a bad thing. One thing is certain, this is going to get interesting.

This sweet opposites attract story is a perfect side for your penis shaped latte foam.

I cannot believe I’m 10 books into this series and the momentum is still high. Normally at this point in any series, story-lines start to get stale, but I think maybe its because the different authors and collaborations. That’s what’s kept this series fresh for me. AND, I’ve gotten to try new author’s as well, like this author duo! It’s just been a win-win for me all around.

I loved Blake! She’s my people. Very direct. Knows what she wants and goes after it. She was funny and fun and a straight-shooter. Gavin was the complete opposite which made it that much more fun to read! The story comes off as maybe being a light-hearted friends to lovers journey, but it’s really much more. It has a lot of heart and #feels to it. There’s a back-story to Blake that will tug at your heart-strings. However, the story is still an overall humorous tone. It’s not angsty, just very well developed. Blake is who she is for a reason and I was pleasantly surprised at how the authors unfolded all that story without making it angst-filled. Well done.

Blake may have seemed eccentric to others but there were times that Gavin found her absolutely charming. She would simply say what she was thinking and he would that was a rare thing since many people kept their thoughts to themselves. The day he moved in as Blake’s roommate he knew things would never be the same again. She would make him laugh and he would see deep down the person she truly was. Having the support each other needed would make him a roommate that may last a lifetime. Absolutely hilarious! I laughed the entire way through the book.

This story is so funny and adorkable with a touch of drama and a lot of heart. Blake and Gavin are perfectly matched; he gets her quirkiness whereas she understands and supports his hopes and dreams.

Kept me entertained throughout and I highly recommend it.

Misadventures with my Roommate is the perfect combination of laugh out loud funny and holy smokes hot! Elizabeth Hayley has created a couple that I just can’t get enough of!

Blake is eccentric. Her words not mine. Because bat shit crazy is... well less than desirable. Or so she thinks. I love her. Like really love her ability to be unapologetically herself. Gavin is sweet and sexy. He’s real and not pure perfection. Though he may be for Blake.

You guys! I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard, out loud and then flipped the switch and swooned so fast. I have sexy funny whiplash and it’s wonderful and refreshing!

Take a change on the roommates and you will have abs of steel from all the sexy laughs!!! ❤️

Misadventures with my roommate was just what I needed. A chick-flick with just enough plot to make the character three-dimensional but not enough to seem heavy.
The characters are quirky and hilarious, and I absolutely loved that Blake didn't have any filters.
The only thing I didn't like was the ending, which felt rushed and didn't leave room to end the book realistically.

Misadventures with my roommate
By: Elizabeth Hayley
📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

She’s quirky but he likes her as she is!!!!

In this fun, quirky and understanding love story we will discover that with open eyes and open heart that we can all find that person made just for us!!!

Authors Blurb: Blake Monroe hasn’t had the easiest life, but she’s never been one to dwell on her misfortunes, preferring to see the world as a place where you get what you give.

Having had an especially troubling childhood, Blake’s aware she doesn’t exactly fit the definition of “normal.” Her lack of filter, dry sense of humor, and uncanny ability to read people make her rather unique—and difficult to live with. When her latest roommate has had enough of her antics, Blake decides living with a man might suit her better.

Gavin Gibson’s a dreamer whose artsy aspirations don’t meet the high expectations of his wealthy family. Cast off and cut off, Gavin needs a place to live. When he’s invited to share Blake’s quaint apartment, he cannot pass it up. With a knack for spotting the good in others, Gavin can see past Blake’s quirks—and neither of them can ignore their sexual chemistry.

As sparks fly, their genuine affection for each other grows, and Gavin begins to break down Blake’s defenses. But can Blake open up to reveal the damage she’s worked so hard to conceal?

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

Blake is such a refreshing character with her lack of filter! Gavin finds himself about to be homeless and Blake has just the solution, but neither of them are prepared for what could happen between roommates. If you enjoy a great romcom with a bit of a twist, then this is the book for you!

This book has everything I enjoy... Two characters with sizzling chemistry-- characters who both have issues to work out with all the ensuing drama-- characters who find their way into my heart. The Misadventures series strikes again in all the most beautiful ways possible.

It is no secret that Elizabeth Haley is one of my favorite writing duos. Their writing, the personality they infuse into every word, the level of humor that has me laughing my butt off, and what they continue to give me in all of their amazing books is just part of why I love them so much. I have loved each and everyone of their books, and I was so excited to learn that they were going to be joining the Misadventures Series. Their books are already so fun and so vibrant, so they were the perfect fit for this series and their book Misadventures with My Roommate was a complete delight.

This book made me laugh, it had me smiling so much with the banter and the antics and the personalities of these characters, and it had the perfect level of steam and heat and connection that made this one heck of a love story. What I love about Elizabeth Haley's writing is that they always make their books and their character so memorable. They make their characters so distinctive and memorable, they give them personalities that are unique and special and hysterical, and they never fail to make me laugh out loud or more times than I can count. What they gave me in this book was all of that and more. It was funny as hell, it was witty, it was full of a connection and spark that just wouldn't quit, and they gave me a story that was equal parts for filling and fiery and fun.

Reading this book brought me back to what allowed me to fall in love with their writing in the first place. The way that Elizabeth Haley introduces their characters in a way that pulls your heart to them, while you are simultaneously dying in the best way with their banter and colorful personalities. They find the perfect way to balance making their characters fun and a little bit crazy and highly memorable, while also making a very relatable and easy to love. I love to Blake and Gavin. I loved that there was more to them than met the eye, I loved that they both had such great personalities that really meshed together, and I love that I felt their connection pulling like crazy through every word of this book.

This story follows the two of them as they become an expected roommates, as they start sharing some very steamy moments, and as they soon realize that they might just be feeling a little bit more than they both bargained for. Elizabeth Haley does a phenomenal job of creating a story that is fun and light, while also weaving in A layer of meaning that I really connected to. I felt a lot for these characters, they were fresh and enjoyable, and I honestly just loved being in this book and experiencing what I got with them. It was fun, it was light, it was them, and in the end it was a fantastic story that I could not get enough of!

I Elizabeth Hayley has done it again with the story and I can't wait to read more of their books and to get more of their phenomenal writing. This book is the perfect quick read, it will have you laughing more times than you can count, loving what you get with Blake and Gavin, and in the end it will have you realizing again and again how talented Elizabeth Hayley is.

I loved every part of this book, and I can't recommend it enough!

Misadventures with my Roomate is a superbly written witty, romantic comedy with just the right amount of tension to make you wonder if this twisted co-worker/roommates/friend love affair could actually go the distance. Blake is a sarcastic, eccentric, enigma, who uses her talent to keep people at arm’s length…well more like a footballs field length or even further away. She has secrets; secrets that no one needs to ever know; not even her two bestfriends. But Gavin, her coffee shop, photographer co-worker, turned perfect live-in housemate has a certain je na sais quoi about him that causes Blake’s steel exterior to bend a little allowing just the right amount of verbal vomit to spew from her lips and into his ears. A chance encounter with someone from her past creates a bit of tension but also gives us readers a chance to get to know Blake just a tad bit better, offering more understanding to Blake’s undoubtedly quirky ways and sudden outbursts. Their lack of support from family forged Blake and Gavin into the individuals they are today.
Oh and if you like naughty, steamy, karma sutra type Misadventures then you’ll enjoy this take on having a hot roommate living just a few steps across the hall.

This is my first read by this pair of authors and I have to admit I didn't really like it at first. Blake was just too out there and seemed so dumb at the beginning of the story. The story got better and I was so glad to read it. Gavin and Blake started out as co-workers then became roommates, then became friends and lovers. I enjoyed the progression of their story and the way Gavin helped Blake deal with her issues and Blake pushed Gavin to do what it took to make his career dream come true. Loved the ending of this steamy romance.

Blake did not have an easy childhood which has resulted in her being a bit of an oddball which doesn’t always sit well with others. After once again losing her roommate for something she said she decides that a male roommate may be a better fit with less drama.

After Gavin’s wealthy parents cut him off for pursuing photography rather than something they approved of he has been having his own struggles with roommates. His last roommate has blown his share of the rent and it is only a matter of time before he is evicted.

Blake and Gavin work together so when they find out that they both need a roommate it seems like the perfect solution. There is no denying the attraction between them and although opposites attract can they make a life together?

This story manages to combine heat, humor and emotion. I loved the characters as Blake’s talent for speaking first and thinking later leads to some humorous moments and Gavin is so accepting of Blake as she is. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
