The second title in the Psy-Changeling Trinity, forces its main characters to let go of the hate and fear they’ve clung to since childhood. For Kaia that means understanding that all humans aren’t evil. For Bowen it’s the understanding that not all with Psy gifts will exploit the weaker minds of humans. To make Trinity viable all three species—Humans, Psy and Changeling—will have to get past their shared violent history and make a new peace. All that said, this is also a moving romance with humor, a fascinating glimpse at the mysterious Black Sea, and a fine example of Singh’s consistently fascinating world-building.

Full review to be published online in early June.
OCEAN LIGHT is the second book in Nalini Singh’s “Trinity” series; a spinoff/continuation of her Psi-Changeling world. As with the first book of the series, there isn't a ton of action; however that isn't a deterrent to reading the book. The page time is spent building the relationship between Bo and Kaia, and their interactions with the rest of the cast of characters. The story pulls you in and fully invests the reader in the outcome. Also as with the first book of the series; the true action is packed into the last third of the book. It's one of those things where you don't want to put the book down for fear of missing the next part. This works overall a little better than it did in ‘Silver Silence’, which tended to drag until the action started near the end.
Singh is a well -developed author; especially in her PNR/UF books. (In this reader’s opinion). She has a way with world building, character realization, and intricate plots that should put her at the top of anyone’s reading list. OCEAN LIGHT is part of a long running series, and is not recommended as a standalone read.

I received a free copy from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review etc...
OKAY now that that is out of the way. THIS BOOK SLAYED. Ocean Light breaths new life in the the psy-changeling universe and confirms Nalini Singh's status as the queen of paranormal romance. While Silver kicked off the Trinity series and laid out the ground work, Ocean Light reveals to the reader where this new series will take us, and I cannot wait to see where we end up next. OL takes us deep (literally) into the heart of Black Sea territory and introduces a whole new cast of characters. The heroine Kaia is an inspiration, this warrior princess turned marsh mellow cook takes no crap and gives as good as she gets be it serving pie or dishing out tough love. If I am being honest I wasn't super excited when I heard that the next trinity book would be about Bowen ( I had been hoping it would be about Andre Toulaine and the human woman he accidentally hit with his car, but I am still holding out hope he will show up in another trinity accord book!!!), but I was wrong to doubt Nalini Singh's choice. Bowen was completely blindsided by Kaia and it was so much fun to watch him turn into putty in her hands. Bowen and Kaia have certainly established themselves as a power couple in my book and I am excited to see where they end up next. I also wanted to mention that this book takes a couple of tried and true psy-changeling troupes ( life saving surgery, and alpha male dynamics just to name a few) and freshens them up. OL had everything that made me fall in love with the psy-changeling universe and some killer new stuff that me fall in love with the Trinity series in its own right. This book was sweet, and exactly what I needed to read this weekend.

I keep going back and forth and may still change my rating, but for right now I'm at 3.5
I love the Psy-Changeling world and really looked forward to Bowen's story. I enjoyed it and it was fabulous to see more of BlackSea and their world, but I just didn't feel the chemistry between Bo and Kaia. They were both great characters and their stories were great, but they just didn't quite click with me.
Didn't stop me from being up until 2am because I just couldn't stop reading, so maybe when I re-read Ocean Light I will fall in love with it a little more;).
