This is my first time reading Lori Foster and it will not be my last. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Sometimes in our life when we may experience tragedy, which can come in many sizes and form. However, how we deal with the aftermath will determine how strong a person we are. We can decide whether we wish to wallow in self-pity and chant the mantra woe me or we can stand firm and take back charge of our lives. Phoenix Rose chose the latter option.

Her determination to restore normalcy to her life after a brutal attack at her place of business was admirable. It demonstrated her strength. Her strong support system aided in her healing process, which placed her on a journey of self-discovery and provided her the opportunity to experience love in its truest form. I enjoyed watching Phoenix come alive. I loved that she found love in the arms of someone who had experienced his own share of tragic circumstances. Why? He understood her fears and as a result helped her through the healing process.

The story featured a secondary romance involving Phoenix's sister Ridley. She took had her share of demons to contend with, but she never let her pain overshadow her concern for her younger sister. She came to Cooper's Charm to check upon Phoenix and found love and healing in the process. The featured romances though different, were both enjoyable. Phoenix and Cooper's romance is sweet and slow burning, while Ridley and Baxter's was scorching.

The story is filled with humor and lots of sexy banter. I had a great time with the staff of Cooper's Charm. Their unique characteristics helped to make this a fun and easy read.

The only issue I had with the story was the inclusion of the suspense thread. First, its predictability took away some enjoyment and secondly it never added much to the story. I agree it allowed Phoenix to confront her fears. However, the fact she had already conquered her fears made the addition of this thread unnecessary.

Conclusion/Recommendation

This is a great start to the Love at Resort series. I cannot wait to see what next this series has to offer. If you looking for a sweet summer read, featuring lovable characters, then you will want to check out Lori Foster newest offering.

Thank you to Harlequin and Aro Publicity for my free copy of Cooper's Charm. All opinions expressed below are my own.

Cooper's Charm is the second book of Lori Foster's that I have had the pleasure to read. I found this to be a light and fun summer read. While I'll admit that there seemed to be a lot of instant love matches and all was a bit too good to be true, it was still an enjoyable romp.

Cooper's Charm tells the story of sisters Phoenix and Ridley and their attempts to rebuild their lives. Phoenix moves to the lakeside community of Cooper's Charm in order to rebuild her life after a traumatic event. What she doesn't expect to find is love. Her sister, Ridley, decides to visit Phoenix to make sure she is okay, only to be thrust into a romantic tryst of her own.

There are definitely some HOT scenes in this novel, but not too many to take away from the sweet plot. There are also a couple of mystery elements that add to the plot and help the narrative move forward. Finally, I loved the sense of friendship amongst the characters. These are people I would love to hang out with and have as a friend. These characters are loyal and truly good people, which makes for a refreshing read. Plus, Phoenix is not a string bean, but doesn't spend the book talking about her needs to diet and exercise - what a refreshing attribute for a female heroine.

I enjoyed Cooper's Charm and would definitely recommend it to others who enjoy a bit of romance in their reads!

Lori Foster is such a master at her craft. Try as I might to savor reading her books, I always finish them in one sitting. I totally disconnect from the real world in favor of hers.
Cooper’s Charm is no exception.

This book has everything I adore in a great romance: a community of characters that interact and form a true family, personal struggle and redemption, a little mystery and comic relief, and tons of chemistry between the characters.

I recommend this book to those who appreciate romance because Lori Foster certainly has a wealth of talent creating her books.

This story has a main and secondary couple. There is a bit of intrigue in the story. The heroine starts the story dealing with the trauma of a terrible beating and robbery. As the book progresses other unsettling things happen to her. The end resolution seemed a bit far fetched to me, but it was still a nice read.

4 1/2 STARS!

The feel good romance of the season! With a quick wit filled with delectable sass, Lori Foster brings us the story of two sisters, both strong women who have been knocked down temporarily and are fighting their way through to the other side. One was hurt by the injustice of the world, while the other had someone she loved turn on her in a despicable way. Both are trying to find themselves again and figure out where they go from here. The love and support they give each other is inspiring as they settle into a new place filled with kind, generous souls and slowly make the journey towards redemption ... and their sexy and sweet happily-ever-afters. Heartfelt, well-developed and oh so fun!

Phoenix Rose was living a good life with a fiancee by her side, a successful business keeping her busy and the world at her fingertips when a burglary and assault stole away her confidence in life and most of all in herself. She walked away from everything she knew and attempted to pick up the pieces of her wounded soul. This new job at the lakeside resort Cooper's Charm is meant to center her again and give here some time away from everything she used to know to start to trust herself again. Friendly co-workers and a sexily brooding boss just might help ease her transition a little faster!

Ridley Rose is worried about her little sister and when she's not getting the answers that she wants from her from afar, so she show's up unexpectedly at Cooper's Charm to check up on her. She stubbornly refuses to leave and ends up taking a temporary housekeeper job to keep herself busy and help out around the resort while she hounds Phoenix about her life. She recently had her own world turned upside down by her louse of an ex-husband, and now she's determined to live it up ... and the sexy scuba instructor giving her the eye might be just the way to do it!

It feels like every time I read, and love a Lori Foster novel and say it's my favorite, another one comes and I say it again! I love how Lori always has amazing alpha hero and also very strong heroines. You get to know these people like their your new friends and you get to enjoy watching them fall in love. It's the very best part of reading a romance noel. What makes Lori's books great are that you can find what type you like, action, comedy, straight up romance, and they all have at least one, if not two great love stories, and of course you meet a few other friends that you can't WAIT for her to write their love story. Lori's stories always are funny, sweet and definitely sexy and your can't seem to put them down. When you do get tot the end you're of course a little sad, but absolutely cannot wait for the next one!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Look no further if you want to be charmed. This is a sweet and heartwarming story about new beginnings, with a dose of mystery and intrigue added. Only Lori Foster can weave a story like this that has you glued to the pages. It’s the perfect, feel good summer read.

Another winner from Lori Foster. I love her books. This is the story of Phoenix and Cooper. She's looking for a new start after a traumatic experience and he has issues from his past also. They meet at Cooper's Charm when she applies for a landscaping job. A great story with great main and secondary characters and the usual HEA. It's a story of second chances and rebuilding. I received an ARC for an honest review.

Right from the start, I knew I was going to like this one, and that first impression was dead on. Yes, it's a Contemporary Romance, and for fans of the genre, you KNOW how much more than JUST romance these stories really contain, but for those more skeptical, allow me to enlighten you. Yes, there are potential hookups, and trust me you'll be cheering them on, but it's SO MUCH MORE than that.

It's about Phoenix and the "big ugly" that happened to her, stealing her sense of self, and making her withdraw from those she loved. Did she give up? No...merely stole time to herself to regroup, but it didn't make the journey any less harrowing, nor the unexpected surprises any less bewildering (hello, Big Sexy...I mean Coop!). It's about Ridley, Phoenix's older sister, reeling from a bad divorce that left he with wads of cash, but a broken heart masquerading as new foudn freedom and confidence. Eventually, she'll break, but not before a lot of sexy banter is exchanged (and more) with a certain scuba god. It's about Coop and his carefully shielded heart, opening to the possibilities that love can bring...but don't think he'll go without a fight. He was touched by tragedy as well, making him more cautious of lending his heart out to, well....pretty much anyone...but that doesn't mean he isn't caring, protective, and a gentleman through and through for all those whose lives he touches. It's about Baxter, his unexpected past, and how it shaped the man he is today. His brazen flitatious nature is smoldering, yet harmless...well, for most anyway...though true intimacy scares the ba jee bees out of him...for now. Those are just the main players, but it should come as no surprise that all the secondary characters are just as memorable too.

All in all, it's a story about second chances, for man and beast, and how no matter what if we are true to ourselves, there's nothing more that can be asked. We may need to reset at times when life throws us off balance, as well as learn that accepting the helping hand of another is not a sign of weakness. Phoenix may see herself as broken and weak, but when seen through the eyes (and hearts!) of others, she's as mighty as an oak with a heart of gold...and with the likes of Coop (and Sugar!) hanging around, she's well on her way to rediscovering her old self.

Phoenix comes to Coopers Charm to make a new start after being attacked. She meets Cooper and they get along great and enjoy hanging. Small accidents start to happen that put Phoenix in danger. Phoenix has her sister and others who are there to support her when her life is at stake.

OMG! I absolutely loved this book! I have loved every Lori Foster book I've ever read but this one is one of my new favs. I loved all the characters from Cooper and Phoenix to Ridley, Baxter, Maris, Joy and Daron. The storyline was so good that it kept me from putting the book down. No one writes such awesome characters, strong dialogue or a gripping story like LF. I actually loved the secondary romance as much as the main romance. This book falls into my reread category.

.
A sweet and charming but also STEAMY romance - just what I needed when I picked this one up! I enjoyed the added suspense element as well. Loved the way all of the characters connected and I really can't wait to read more from Foster and more in this series.

*squeal!!!
I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it!
It has been too long since i have read a Lori Foster book. Mind you, a month is way to long for me. I forget how happy her books make me. The people and places she creates, become real. They take me away from the craziness of my life and allow me solace.
I will never stop recommending her books. I will never stop reading them either.
Happy reading!
Note: I have voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this title.

In Lori Foster's Cooper's Charm, the first installment in the Love at the Resort Contemporary Romance series, this new series will charm you and make you find your second chance at love. For Phoenix Rose, she had suffered a horrible ordeal when she was robbed. That left her shattered and make her call off things with her fiancé David. Then she went to Cooper's Charm park in Ohio, when she needed to get away and start fresh in a new life. That's when she met Cooper Cochran, the owner of the park, and asked him for a job. Right away, she became the housekeeper to keep maintain the resort cabins. But there was a chemistry between her and her widowed boss, when they had gotten well together. While she was insecure from the robbery, she didn't know who or what to feel. When her sister Ridley paid her a visit, she had feasted her eyes on Baxter, one of the coworkers at the park, and sparks continued to fly. Hot off the heels of a divorce and looking for a new love, she made herself a new home in the park and brought a RV to lure Baxter in a seductive trap. Besides all of this, someone had targeted Phoenix by scaring her to death, while Cooper protects her and begins to let go of the ghost of his last wife. When the past came to ahead, it was a life and death situation for Phoenix to take back her life and get the happiness she deserves and face her past...

Phoenix Rose has taken a job at Cooper’s Charm resort looking for second chance. After a while her older sister Ridley Rose comes for a visit Which is actually just an excuse to check up her sister. She’s left hurting after a hateful divorce. Neither had planned on falling in love again.

Cooper’s Charm was a sweet romance about second chances and finding love again. Complete with a sweet little dog names sugar. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance novels.

Yes – I can’t stop repeating myself… Lori Foster has done it again!
This is the first book in the new “The Summer Resort” series and it looks like another HIT!
You will find great characters, sisterly love as well as some action and drama. And, WOW, definitely some great sexy scenes! I loved the secondary characters story just as much as the main characters’ storyline. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

COOPER'S CHARM, the first book in the Love at the Resort series, is a charming, sweet in-depth look at life, loss, fears and coming back to being who you want to be. Author Lori Foster weaves an amazing story with characters that are likable, realistic, funny, and fun, but she also knows how to throw in some bad eggs into the mix.

Coopers Charm, such a wonderful read of two people that were brought together for a reason, each with their own need to overcome the challenges and fears in their lives. This story had every thing you could want, mystery, hot romance, laughter and sadness all wrapped up in one amazing book.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

My Review: This is exactly the kind of book I needed to break up the monotony of the same old same old. There's certainly something great about an alpha male.. but Cooper is the epitome of a perfect man. Not bossy, doesn't assume he always knows best, protective but not overbearing... just a real, good, solid man. And I think I'm in love.

My all time favorite Lori Foster book (so far!) is Don't Tempt Me, and this book had a similar enough feel that I was sucked in right away. Coopers Charm, the place not the book, has that perfect small town/close community feel, and I felt like I was at home while reading. Cooper really made this book for me, but Phoenix was a super close second. I just wanted to be her friend, support her, and watch her come out of her shell. The cast of secondary characters are amazing as well, and I just want to be a part of their self-made family. And as a bonus - there's a secondary romance blossoming during the course of the story as well!!

Cover Lovin': Perfectly idyllic and contemporary.

Recommendation: Another awesome series starter from Lori Foster! I can't wait for more.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)!!! Another book that proves Lori Foster is the queen! I think it's my new favorite!
