Phoenix is rebuilding her life after a traumatic experience that turned her life upside down. She is finally finding some confidence to step back into the world. Cooper Charm is a beautiful retreat that is in desperate need for a landscaper and other workers. Cooper the owner and her boss is also damaged and they have an undeniable chemistry that can start a fire. The story has so many enjoyable characters that you don’t want it to end especially when her older sister Ridley shows up to check up on her. That’s when the a second romance takes form with Baxter the scuba diving instructor. Their story is so enjoyable I couldn’t help but smile especially when she decides to take on the job of housekeeper. This the first book in the start of a new series I loved the cast of characters I could see this being a movie. I voluntarily read an advanced copy provided by the author and publisher.

"Cooper's Charm" (Love at the Resort Book 1) by Lori Foster is a terrific read. I loved this story. It's a wonderful start to this new series. It was great getting to know Cooper, Phoenix, Ridley, Baxter, and the other employees at Cooper's Charm. This story has romance, passion, entertaining characters, action, suspense, humor, overcoming tragic events, new beginnings, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next with these characters! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, action, and series.

This is everything most people want in a romance. This book has the requisite amount of angst, an abused (physically) woman, a mentally abused one, a male with a murdered wife and another male who is just full of himself, but is misunderstood (sort of), hot, lust filled thoughts with the inevitable conclusion. A bit of mystery is added for those who want a little story with their angst.

I have to say that I usually prefer one couple at a time in my romance, but this time it was ok and I enjoyed the both of them. I was a little bit disappointed when I found out who was the culprit, but mostly because I am a reader of noir and thriller so....
THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

I am a big fan of Lori Foster and her books, so I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Our story follows our heroine, Phoenix who goes into hibernation after a tragedy. Now, she’s had enough is now ready to join the world again so she starts to look for a job. She finds a job along with a handsome man named Cooper, a scuba instructor. The one thing she wasn’t expecting was feelings towards him, but now she has both!
Cooper’s Charm is a great beach read, fun romance that will have you turning the pages constantly. I couldn’t wait to find more out between the two. Fans of Contemporary Romance will love the book because of the slow burn romance between the Cooper and Phoenix. Foster takes you on a trip down love lane you are sure not to forget.

Phoenix is a girl trying to start and new life and Cooper’s Charm looks to be just the place to make that happen. She pulls up for a job interview and her life changes for the better at first glance around the campground. She is confident she can forget all that life has thrown at her recently, be strong and confident again and move on with her life.
Cooper is basically hiding in his own campground. His life was drastically turned upside down and he doesn’t want to open himself up to that kind of pain and heartache again. Until he sees Phoenix and all his notions of bachelorhood fly out of his conscience.
Phoenix and Cooper are basically the same person in that they are both trying to start life over after a painful experience but are too shy/scared to let it happen. Once they both let down their guards a little and just let life happen they realize they make a pretty good team.
I loved the secondary characters in this book, from her sister coming to stay at the campground (think glamping at first) to the men hired to help around the campground chasing the ladies. Each has their own story and background woven in but never overwhelming the main storyline of Cooper and Phoenix.
I’m so happy to have read this story, another winner for Lori Foster. It was a quick summer read that reminds you why you appreciate Lori Foster and all she does to grab us and take us on an amazing ride with her characters each and every time she writes a book.

Copper's Charm is the first book in Lori Foster's Love at the Resort series, and it is a perfect summer read.
This book introduces us to the idyllic camping resort, Cooper's Charm, a place that I would personally like to go on vacation. I loved it!
Cooper's Charm initially draws Phoenix who is followed by her sister Ridley, and each sister gets her own romance.
I loved the build up and slow burn between Phoenix and Coop. They each had an innate understanding of the other person and knew to ease into a relationship. Both of them also had a tragic event to overcome, and together they were able to do so.
I think I enjoyed the romance between Ridley and Baxter even more. There was just such sass and banter to go along with their connection and physical chemisty.
I look forward to returning to Cooper's Charm for the stories of some of the other characters we met in this book.
***I received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.***

I got the ARC of this book for being on Lori's Street team. I finished this book on the plane ride back from RAGT18, the reader author convention hosted by Lori. I am sure meeting Ms Foster had no impact on this review :) .
I really loved this book because all the characters were so real, everybody had a story and were working towards overcoming them. The love and support between the sisters. I do believe there are more good people in this world inspite of the what the news shows and this book confirmed that faith. Don't get me wrong I love me some Karen Rose and true crime podcasts but once in awhile you need a good story and this book was it.
Cooper and Phoenix were lovable and honest with each other, He fell for her a little to quickly which usually doesn't work for me but it wasn't a big no no here because maybe he had r

Phoenix Rose had been a successful, confident, garden store owner -- then she was burgled and attacked. She lost her confidence and her fiancé. Several months later, she answers an ad for a grounds maintenance keeper at the campground/lakeside resort Cooper's Charm. Surrounded by a cast of characters, including the charismatic owner, she slowly regains her confidence and re-enters the world. Her sister Ridley, still reeling from a nasty divorce, comes to check up on her little sister and decides to take on a housekeeping role at the resort - and garners a lot of interest from the resort's handsome and irrepressible scuba instructor.
This was supposed to be just a short rest stop for both sisters. However, it becomes much, much more -- satisfying more!
I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.

It was an adorable story and you kind of get 2 stories in one. Each sister gets their happily ever after.

This was my first read by author Lori Foster. I found Coopers Charm to be a quick and enjoyable read about characters coming together after horrible circumstances.

I always look forward to a new Lori Foster book, she never disappoints me. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Cooper’s Charm tells the story of sisters who retreat to a lakeside resort. Phoenix has just been part of a tramatic robbery and her sister Ridley a divorce. Both sisters find acceptance and love with the friendly employees of Cooper’s Charm resort.
Cooper’s Charm was an easy, feel-good read. Pick up a copy today!

Phoenix needs to get away from her old life and has applied for a job at Cooper's Charm hoping it will be the fit she is looking for. You see while at work late one night she was attacked by two masked men and she hasn't been the same since. Realizing that she needs to make a change and needing to regain a semblance of who she was has her picking up and moving. When she arrives at her destination and meets her new boss she isn't sure if she'll be able to handle it or not, you see Coop is a very large and intimidating man. When Coop meets Phoenix he sees the hurt and lost soul that she is and wants to help her recover from her ordeal. The question is will she let him. Coop himself understands loss of self and the pain that comes with it because he is also dealing with a huge setback in his life. His wife, who was pregnant at the time, was killed and it has changed him in so many ways. Follow along as Phoenix and Coop dance around each other and the attraction they feel, will they both find they have been searching for. What an absolutely charming read this was, it took me on an emotional ride that I was happy to take. I laughed, I cried, and I feel in love with these wonderful characters.

What a refreshing love story between Cooper and Phoenix!
Phoenix is trying to put her life back together after a horrible robbery, she takes off to Cooper's charm, where she gets more charm than she could ever imagine. But can she put her fears behind her and live a normal life again?
Read this 5 star story and find out!!

Oh I absolutely love this book! It it witty, funny, sexy, suspenseful and romantic all throughout the book with a little sugar on top. If you have read Lori Foster before you are going to love this and if you haven’t this is a fantastic place to start! Thanks Lori!

Lori Foster writes about characters that become real right before your eyes. In her writing she gives you a pathway toward getting invested in their story and there’s no better example of that than in COOPERS CHARM. COOPERS CHARM is filled with equal parts of sexy and sassy mixed in with love and friendship. There is even an element of mystery in COOPERS CHARM thrown in for good measure.
COOPERS CHARM is actually a vacation camping getaway place owned by Cooper Cochran. In many instances – as we learn in this story – it is also an escape or sanctuary for people who faced down a traumatic episode and lived through it albeit a little shaky. COOPERS CHARM is a destination emotional recovery place and it seems as if we are going to be introduced to some weary folk looking for a new place and they found it here.
Phoenix Rose answers an ad for a grounds keeper. She is a natural for the position but even so she can’t wrap her head around the fact that Cooper hired her after an almost nonexistent interview. But Cooper had done his homework. He knew all about what Phoenix left behind and was pretty sure her qualifications met with his needs. The campground would really benefit from someone like Phoenix.
What he didn’t expect was the instant connection. Cooper easily sensed her reluctance. Not that Phoenix wasn’t happy for the job but she seemed tense around him. Sure he was a big guy – but he was a gentle soul. Only Phoenix didn’t know that yet. Phoenix was on her own for the first time in a long while and determined to face down her fears. Easier said than done.
Ridley – Phoenix’ sister – was in constant contact with her. Ridley was the ever present protective older sister. After a short while Ridley came for a visit – but decided that COOPERS CHARM might be just the right place for her after her divorce.
So that is how both sisters wound up in the same place. Different in many ways but as close as any sister might be.
COOPERS CHARM was going to have to do some magic on these two women who desperately needed to get out of their own heads and begin to heal and trust. Luckily they came to the right place. And lucky for them there was definitely some hope for a very happy future.
So COOPERS CHARM is a lovely love story with a really great cast of characters both human and canine. This is going to make a great beach read and couldn’t have come out at a better time. Be prepared to laugh and smile a lot. This is entertainment at its best.

What a great story of starting over! Phoenix comes to Cooper’s Charm to Finnish recuperating from an attack. Her whole life changed after she was robbed and attacked one night, and this small town seems like just the place to Finnish picking up the pieces.
Cooper bought the resort when recovering from his own tragedy. Here he is, having started over himself, and he hires Phoenix to be his groundskeeper. Can these 2 broken people help heal each other?
Also, Phoenix’s sister has grown tired of being away from her, and is dealing with a bad divorce. Will she find happiness at Cooper’s Charm as well?

Before I embark on my review of this particular book, let me start by saying something about me and my relationship with romance books in general. I read a lot of romance throughout the year and I love the genre mostly. I am not a prude but also don't love books that are full of sexy times. I like a relationship to flourish and maybe they go to the bedroom and we hear about how good it is, but I am in the middle of how much I like when it comes to the sexy times in a book.
Ok, with that being said, lets get on with the review.
Phoenix Rose owned a landscaping business and after an incident on the job she decides to move and start life over - she pushes a reset button. Cooper owns a lakeside resort and after finding out about her past is keen on hiring her and allowing her that second chance.
From the beginning, I loved these characters and the setting. BUT I was put off pretty quickly. Once you find out about the incident you will know why this put me off, don't want to spoil too much. So with her incident, I could see her not being trusting of people especially the opposite sex and it felt like she went from hesitate to sexy talk with Cooper WAY too fast. It didn't seem like a lot of time went by before she was sexy talking and sexy timing with him. It really threw me for a loop.
As I said above, I don't mind the sexy times if it feels like it is well placed and appropriate in timing with the book, but this went way too fast for me. The other thing I didn't completely love about this book was the actual sexy times - they went on for pages and pages. If you like a lot of descriptive bedroom time then you would like this, but I have to say that I will probably not read another Lori Foster, her books were too much for me.

Lori as usual is amazing with her story writing. Cooper and Phoenix are two people who find that love does conquer all and having a sizzling chemistry makes for fireworks in bed.
