Her Russian Fixer by Leslie North
Volkov Brothers #1

Damsel in distress with fearful mutt to protect her
Accosted by neighborhood gang members
Saved by alpha Bratva male

Lucy Paprocki has decided it is time to meet her biological father so has moved to Chicago to do so. Little does she know that her father is wanted by the Bratva and the Volkov brothers for stealing millions of dollars. When Benedict “Ben” Volkov, doing surveillance of Pyotre Mishin’s apartment building, sees Lucy accosted he steps in to help only to find out who she is and determine it is serendipitous as she could be the linchpin to finding the man he and she are both seeking.

The dog is a hoot
Lucy is a character
Benedikt is a man with a plan

The story is fun and flirty and dirty with both H&h stating what they need and more than able to stand up to one another. The story is…well…fun. It is not terribly deep and at times I felt parts were more slapstick than serious. This seems to be my first book by this author and I am willing to read another although this is definitely NOT the dark gritty Russian mafia book that I was expecting.

Thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Her Russian Fixer, did not turn out the way I thought it would. Better maybe.
I was thinking that another good name for this would have been, Her Russian Controller Ben demanded control in all aspects of his life. Lucy didn't mind giving him control in the bedroom, but how dare him try and control her life. .
