Excellent book. One of my favorite authors. Her books always keep you spellbound until the end. Highly recommend this book and her others.

Enjoy this stunning series conclusion as the whole Chesapeake Valor group works diligently to stop two separate killers--one serial and the other a terrorist. Dani Pettrey weaves another masterful and inspiring tale to reach a much-needed conclusion to the two cases and all the series' favorite characters, especially and finally for Luke and Kate. Prepare for several surprises and twists along the way.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

The final book in Dani Pettrey's Chesapeake Valor series is finally here! The threads of Griff's sister's death and Kate's “missing” boyfriend Luke have been piquing our interest all through the series, and now they finally get resolved! Luke showed up at the end of book 3, “Blind Spot,” and that book ended with quite the cliff hanger. So book 4 starts out teetering on that cliff, and resolution doesn't come easily.

Once again, Pettrey's writing kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what plot twists would show up next. One night when I was getting near the end, I knew I'd better quit reading for the night, or I'd have nightmares! Even though Pettrey's books are fast-paced, she has a good rythmn of tension/release – the characters, and the reader, have a chance to stop and breathe, for a page or two, after each intense section.

I like the way the characters are developed. They are believeable, and they grow and change through the series, and in each book. They make mistakes, and have to apologize. It will be sad not to get to read more about them!

All in all, this was a very satisfying conclusion to the series.

Romantic Suspense at its finest. This book is the fourth and final installment of Dani Petrey's Chesapeake Valor series. This is Luke and Kate's story. But it is also a dual story because Griffin and Finley are working on Jenna's cold case murder. So, it definitely was a page turner with clues and leads and twists. I am a huge fan of this author and have read all of her books. I give this book 4 and a 1/2 stars.
*I was given this book by the publisher Baker Publishing via netgalley. This is my honest opinion.
