Over the years, I've had the pleasure of meeting Lisa Scottoline a few times, and believe me when I tell you that she is one of the nicest people you will ever come across in your life. She greets her fans not with handshakes but with hugs, and the word that comes most to mind when I think of her is "genuine."

Her daughter, Francesca Serritella, is exactly the same way. Lisa, of course, has written numerous mysteries, but the two of them have also come together to develop a series of essay books, their newest being I See Life Through Rose'-Colored Glasses (that's the wine!). Whether it's Lisa's or Francesca's essay you're reading, I promise that you are in for a treat. From pets to exercise to dating, they write about life in such a way that every woman can relate to. Most essays are hilarious and witty, but every once in awhile they throw one in that's beautifully poignant.

One warning -- I read this book on my Kindle while my husband was asleep next to me. If you value your marriage, you may not want to do that. I laughed out loud too many times to count.

MY RATING - 4

This was the first book by Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella that I have read. It was a fun, witty, and enjoyable look into their lives. It is obvious that this mother daughter duo are very close and have a wonderful relationship. They told their stories with wit and charm. Some of the accounts had me trying to hold back a laugh so other wouldn't think I had lost my mind. (I was reading in a waiting room) This was a quick, light and fun read. This book is for women everywhere!!

I received and an ARC from NetGalley and St. Martin's Press. Thank you to both!!

This is a funny, pick me up, leave me and return to me book. It is filled with great stories written by a mother-daughter team who truly know the art of vignettes and of how to tell a funny story of real life occurrences. I found this to be a very enjoyable book that I could read a part and come back and read some more, never losing the feel of the book and wanting to read what the woman would approach next, what topic they would put a Scottoline/Seratella perspective on.

The introduction to this mother-daughter collection of essays is very good and made me want to read the rest. Sadly, the following chapters did not keep my interest, and I quit after about 15% of the book which would be about 53 pages in hard back.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lisa Scottoline and her daughter Francesca Serritella's novel made me actually laugh out loud more than once. These stories have everything; humor, tears and something to learn in every one. I highly recommend this book.

I have read all of Lisa and Francesca's books and have loved every one of them. They really "get" women and mom's and the mundane lives of us all. They literally make me laugh out loud.

Love the essays. The little quirks in life the author brings to life. Always read when I am feeling blue because it brings a smile to my face.

Though i enjoyed essays by both women, thebekder Scottoline speaks my language--craxy life with humor. A laugh riot all the way through, with a bit of heart-tugging mixed in for good measure.

I love these books! I have only listened to the others on audio (and didn't realize there were pictures?!). I will listen to this one again on audio when it is released, because I love hearing the authors tell their own stories. They are so funny and real. Their stories are very relatable and I can't wait for the next one already!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's press for an early copy of this book for review!

Another fun and exciting collection of stories from Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella. It was a quirky set of stories and I learned in this book that "quirky means adorable."

I waited a few days to start this one because I knew once I started I would want to continue to read just one more and I would get nothing else done. And that was true. I read the entire collection in just two sittings.

Lisa and Francesca talk about everything from air conditioning and home repair to Lady Gaga and watercolors to dogs...and cats..and snakes...and horses. This book has something for everyone to enjoy. There are many laugh out loud moments, a few sad stories, and plenty of times where I can see myself if similar situations.

I recommend this book to everyone!

Scottoline and Serritella have done it again with their newest collection of essays titled "I see Life Through Rośe-Colored Glasses." I've yet to be disappointed by anything produced by this dynamic mother/daughter team. Mostly, you will find yourself laughing and nodding along. A few sad parts sneak through, like the pain of losing a pet. I found myself relating to every story shared. Treat yourself to this wonderful read- you will not regret it!
I received an advanced digital copy of this book from Netgalley and St. Martin's Press in exchange for my fair and honest review. #netgalley

8th book in series
read - laugh - escape everyday life

Enjoy the stories that you can relate to
- technology between mother/daughter
- loving our librarians (hug your librarian- they don't get enough)
- summer is for drinking wine ... fall is for drinking lattes
-measuring lives in obsolete technological stages
- pain of losing a pet - true and relatable to anyone who has shared the loss

I will begin a search for Lambrusco!!

I am a huge fan of Lisa Scottoline, and have loved every one of her books. This one is no exception. Written by Lisa and her daughter, i fell in love with it right away. Loved their collaborative minds and their way of thinking. It definitely brought a smile to my face. Highly recommend!

Lisa Scottoline and her adult daughter Francesca Serritella reveal their year of mother-daughter, real life moments in this latest in their series and it is all good clean fun with a touch of sadness as the situation warrants.
This is a book to savor, though you want to rush through to see what they have come up with next. From make-up to dogs, colonoscopy kits to carb consumption, each 'tale' brings a smile or a tear.
I love the reminiscing of Philadelphia-based Lisa and the young single NYC life of Francesca.
Now I have to wait until I can buy this in audio book - they do the audio books themselves! I will be listening with the AC on and tears of laughter running down my face.
