A likable story that moves along well and will appeal to young superhero fans. Art is charming and colorful without blasting one's eyes.

This is a great graphic novel series with strong female characters. There are also some “sneaky” mythology lessons in these books where they mention various mythological stories. The girls’ friendship is a nice touch as well.

In this story, Bumblebee is jealous, as she and Wonder Woman were best friends until Wondy started spending a lot of time with new girl Mera. And the students find out on a field trip that Atlantis has disappeared, so they venture into outer space to get it back. Two teams of heroes — the Teen Titans plus Miss Martian as the first, and Mera, Supergirl, Wondy, and Bumblebee as the second — head out on interconnected missions to recover the shrunken underwater city.

There are some good lines here, cute wisecracks and useful lessons — I particularly like how Bumblebee’s intelligence is emphasized, as she makes more shrinking technology for her friends to go with her own super-suit — but overall, the various bits and pieces didn’t gel for me. Relatively little time is spent in the underwater world, plus there’s space jail and Lobo and too much with the Titans … I wish it had all come together more concisely. The school premise is a good one, but it’s nearly forgotten here.

This series just gets better and better. I loved the focus on Bumblebee, Raven and Miss Martian as well as Mera in this one. The hero/villain conflict was great with tension building from chapter to chapter. And through it all is a relateable thread of jealousy when it seems Bumblebee's best friend, Wonder Woman, is spending more time with Mera, the new girl. A terrific balance between the friendship pieces and the heroics. Excellent.

I am always gleeful about titles like this - that show girls in positions of power, saving the world, without needing boys to rescue them. I have a 4-year-old daughter who loves the SuperHero GIrls, and I am totally good with that.

In this story, readers meet Mera, who is new to the SuperHero Girls cast, but adds a whole new dimension to the team.

One of the things I like - in addition to the teamwork, and the fact that each of the members has her own unique gifts and strengths - is the element of problem-solving that these adventures bring to readers. Everything doesn't always go the way it should, and the heroines are forced to adapt and amend their plans in order to be successful. This is such an important skill, and I love that it's being taught in these books. (I mean yeah, it helps that they have super powers, and all, but still...)

Anyway, yay for girl power, strong female characters and friendships, and the little girls who are learning from them!

Not quite as cohesive as previous volumes in the series, and the sudden inclusion of the Teen Titans feels a little forced, but still a fun and exciting series for my young readers.

An enjoyable continuation of the DC Superhero Girls line, although early on, its dependence upon having watched/seen a recent DCSHG video release hampered comprehension for my 6 year old daughter.

Even so, the characters and situations are relatable, fun, and engaging. Shea Fontana's work is always enjoyable for me and my daughter!

Another exhilarating tale from Super Hero High!

In this editions we follow the super heroes as they fight Brainiac and try to save Atlantis. Bumblebee also learns a lesson in friendship, while Beast Boy learns one on leadership.

All of the lessons and interactions set an excellent example for young readers. There are a couple new heroes who join us in this edition and their powers are very handy to the established team.

My only niggle is the first couple pages of the book were disjointed and apparently a flashback/wrap up situation to provide background for Bumblebee and Wonder Woman's friendship. It honestly did not help move the plot or story at all and left me feeling like I missed pages.

My daughter is going to love this as she recently decided she loves swimming and will think Mera, a super hero with water powers, is lots of fun!

This was the first I have read of this series,, and though it wasn't my favorite read this year, it was fun to see the new take on some well known comic characters. I loved the artwork and the bright, vibrant colors used, and found the action and dialog easy to follow. I felt the plot and characters could use some work, but it might just be where I"m not used to this series yet.

I was unfortunately not able to download this title due to missing the archive date and I regret this immensely because I was really looking forward to reading this.

Search for Atlantis is another marvelous entry into the world of the DC Super Hero Girls. I love this take on some of my favorite DC characters and was super excited to see Mera introduced into the mix. Even better, the focus is on Mera and not Aquaman (who is still hanging out in Atlantis and not attending Super Hero High).

The DC Super Hero Girls, and Search for Atlantis specifically, is great because it focuses on all the heroes and their unique strengths and the interactions between each other. In fact, I highly recommend this book to any young person who has struggled with their existing friendships when a new person enters the mix.

Search for Atlantis is actually related from Bumblebee's point of view for much of the book which gives us more of a bird (or bee's) eye view of the events. The non-Bumblebee portions of the book feature the Teen Titans coming together as a team for the first time (and trying to find a suitable name for their group).

There's a lot going on in this graphic novel, and at times the disparate teams feel a little disjointed, but it all comes together in the end.

And anything with cheesy jokes from Beast Boy is always going to make me happy. I enjoyed this new entry into the world and highly recommend it for young readers 8-12.

I sat down with my daughter a few nights and we read over this awesome addition to her Super Hero Girls collection. This journey takes the heroes underwater to Atlantis, but they get there and find it missing. They have to save the day. The common themes in all of the Super Hero Girl books, Friendship, Teamwork, and doing the right thing, are all there. These are wonderful for little girls to look up to and I am thankful that I received an ARC from DC Entertainment on Netgalley. My daughter loved this graphic novel.

This is the weakest of the three I've seen in this series. When it brings Brainiac into proceedings as the baddie, when it turns out he's shrunk Atlantis and made off with it, you doubt these characters will succeed in pulling off action against him, and you doubt it correctly. They can't – but at least they try, with their shrinking this and enlarging that, but it's a case of perpetually working out who is friends with whom that takes most of your reading time. Messy – and a lot of the ballooning is really badly positioned. One and a half stars.

My daughter is a huge fan of DC Super Hero Girls, sometimes I wonder if she’s too crazy about them. However, we pulled this book up and she was pulled in from the moment we began reading reading it.the story line and illustrations are beautiful. The story gives depth to the characters which is something that I prefer when we read together. I want her to see and feel the characters as if they were in front of her versus them being there on a page and
Nothing more. We’ve read it several times and it’s become her go to book each night.

Definitely a fan.

Perfectly timed for the Aquaman movie release, tweens will love this introduction to Mera and Atlantis. Necessary for any library where the previous DC Super Hero Girls comics are popular.

Having superpowers doesn't make high school any easier. Just because you can live in water, fight gigantic sea monsters, and are super strong, doesn't mean your first day of school goes off smoothly. Mera is new to Super Hero High School and has to learn to navigate new friendships and group dynamics. When the evil Braniac mysteriously steals Atlantis from the ocean without anyone knowing, the students at Super Hero High School must work together to save Aquaman and his people. But will the students be able to put their differences and fears aside long enough to save the day?
Very colorful and full of teen angst, DC Super Hero Girls: Search for Atlantis is a fun take on the super hero world. Thank you to DC Comics and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

My niece loves lady superheroes, especially Wonder Woman. I was excited to read this one to see if it might be something she'd enjoy, and I think she'd love it. I can't wait to pick this one up for her. My brother and I are trying to turn her into a nerd as much as possible, and this seems like a great introduction to comics. She already loves some of the picture books with these super heroes. This is great for your little girl who is getting into comics and/or early in their reading studies. There's plenty to read here, but like any good comics, the art makes it great and gives the little ones something to focus on if the reading is a bit slow going. Definitely recommend.

Fun installment. Seeing the girls split up to solve the case was good, nice to see everyone finding their niche. It was also great to see a book focusing on Ms. Martian. I read this to my 5 year old daughter and she loved it, requested it many many more times.
