Joy Ellis gives us a dark and twisted crime thriller featuring DI Jackson and DS Evans set in the Lincolnshire Fens where secrets proliferate. Sarah, a supposedly happily married woman with two children that she loves, takes herself off to London where she throws herself into the river. She just happens to be the sister in law of DI Jackson. Jackson and Evans dig into her life, only to find that another in the same locality does the same. There is a connection with a murderer whose family family deem to have been unjustly convicted. Jackson and Evan's investigation enters dangerous territory as they face ruthless forces. This is a well written and entertaining crime fiction with twists. Great read!
