This memoir details the struggles one man experienced during his application process to become a US citizen. His detailed accounts of conversations with immigration officials will leave you furious, especially in today's political climate. I wish him all the best of luck in the future and I'm glad to have him as a fellow US citizen.

Librarian: I won’t be ordering this for my library, because, at the moment, we don’t have any need for memoirs. However if the need should arise then I would definitely consider this book for purchase. If you’re looking for either memoirs or books on US Immigration check this one out.
Reader: Honestly this book left me kind of furious. Not at the author, who did and admirable job explaining a long and difficult journey. No, I was furious at the utter ineptness (not to mention unprofessionalism) displayed by nearly every government agent involved in the whole sorry affair. Not to mention everything that can only be concluded to be racism on the part of many of the agents. Not that that’s really surprising. In this day and age is there anyone left who actually believes US immigration agents actually are there to help? Why is it surprising to find out they were similarly inept years ago?
