Single dads are like romance crack, but for me the cover was the best part of the book. I had a bunch of issues, starting with the fact that this is billed as the first in a series. Which may be technically true, but if you haven't read the other series you will be playing catch up. Tons of characters were briefly introduced, and I'm guessing they all had their own books in that other series, cause as a new reader I was overwhelmed and a little lost. Next was Molly. Ugh. I didn't like her at all. So rigid on one hand, so wishy washy on the other. She was so bland. Her main characteristic for me was that she had to follow a timeline of life goals she created at age 13..... I wanted a lot more character development for all of them. The brothers seemed like they could be interesting, but they need better leading ladies! Lastly, and this is totally just my issue/preference, it was just too sweet (and clean). Just didn't work for me.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

The cover and title actually caught my attention first. I'm a sucker for dads and babies. However, the story did not live up to the cover. The blurb says this is the first book in a new series but I felt I was a couple of steps behind the action throughout the whole book. After reading, I went back and looked at previous works by the author and it looks like there was another series that was, maybe loosely, tied to or should be read first. My other issue is it was a little too clean and nice for me. Just my personal preference, but I don't like fade to black romance. Give me all the details!! This book just didn't work for me.

Must Love Babies is the first book in the Must Love Babies series, a spin off of the Magnolia Brides series, by Lynnette Austin. I have not read the previous series, in fact I believe this is the first book I have read by the author. The book stood up well on its own, but I think those that have read the previous series will have a better understanding of the small town, and those that live there, but I was able to pick up the important bits quickly and fully enjoy the read. This book is currently scheduled for release on June 5 2018.

Brant Wylder is a bachelor and loving it, although he would not mind a few more dances with a certain bridesmaid. He's in Misty Bottoms, Georgia, property-hunting for his vintage car repair shop and acting as groomsman in a wedding when he gets the call. His sister's been in an accident, and Brant has to drop everything and take care of his seven-month-old nephew. That's the end of the bachelor lifestyle. Bridal boutique owner Molly Stiles is all business all the time, until she sees that Brant's in trouble. In this Southern town, nobody ever has to go it alone. And besides, how can she resist that beautiful baby in the arms of a beautiful man, even though romance is not in her plan.

Must Love Babies is a great contemporary romance about finding love when you are not looking for it. Molly has a plan, and love is not on her list for a few more years. She needs to concentrate on her new business, and maybe her trust issues. Brant is loving his life, but when his little sister goes off the rails he steps up and takes care of his nephew. There were a few really funny moments, and plenty of moments parents will relate to, as he learns quickly how to handle caring for a baby. I fell in love with the caring community of Misty Bottoms, and how hard Brant works to do the right thing and take care of others, even when they do not ask. The connection, attraction, and miscommunication between Molly and Brant is all understandable- Molly is too in her head and Brant is trying to do too much. I really enjoyed seeing them come together, and fully enjoyed the ride even when molly was being stubborn and Brant was overstepping. I might have wanted to shake them a couple times, but I was glad to be along for the ride as they found their way.

Must Love Babies is a sweet story about a small town, and people with big hearts. I loved watching the town come to life and the characters grow and come together. I will be taking a look at the other books from this author.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. It was such a sweet romantic love story. Brant was a really sweet guy who was thrown into looking after his sister’s baby after she was in a car accident. It was so cute how he looked after baby Jax. I have to say a man looking after a baby as well as Brant did just melts your heart. I loved the scenes with them together. Molly to me has always had a hard time in love. She wants everything to be prefect and if it isn’t she always runs. I felt like she ran a lot. That being said I have to say that if you are looking for a love story that will melt your heart then look no farther because this is that book. It is a really sweet romantic story about two people overcoming a lot of obstacles and fears to make it work. Thanks for the chance to review this book NetGalley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

All in all this book wasn't bad but I'm going to be honest. I could have done without Molly. The whole book with Jax and Brant and Tucker and Gavin and the rest of Misty Bottoms residents were great. Jax and Brant made you laugh and if you've been around babies you just get it.

Brants life is flipped upside down with one call. A car accident has left him with temporary custody of his nephew and for a confirmed bachelor well it's going to be an experience. The town of Misty Bottom wont let him struggle to hard though and that's what you have to love.

Molly is new to town too. She has her life planned out and an uncle carrying for his nephew wont change that. Or will it? Molly was okay but her issues and attitude were eh I could do without it. Strange right? It was good and I look forward to Gaven and Tucker having their own stories

Brant Wylder is in town for a wedding and to scope out a new location for his car renovation business. When he gets a call that his sister has been in an accident he rushes to be with her. His sister has relapsed with alcoholism and her young son needs someone to look after him while she recovers. Brant has always been the dependable one in his family and he doesn’t hesitate to take care of his nephew. Even if he has no idea what he’s doing.
Bridal boutique owner Molly Stiles is reluctant to get involved with Brant but can’t seem to keep away. She is drawn to him and his adorable nephew. Molly has a lot of pain from her past and has learned to distrust men, can she move on and open her heart again?
Must Love Babies is the first instalment in Lynnette Austin’s new series. This series is connected to a prior series the Magnolia Brides series. I haven’t read that series but a lot of characters from the series do appear in this book. The reader is expected to know a lot of the backstory about the setting up of the bridal business, their love lives etc. If you haven’t read the previous series, you can get lost as the author expects you to have read it.
This is an ok read if you have nothing better to read. It will appeal to readers who like a clean romance. There are plenty of kisses but sex is glossed over.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. For more reviews please visit my blog:

This was my first book by this author and I must say I am a sucker for love stories that involve kids, there is just something about them that tugs at my heartstrings, especially when it's the male MC that has the kid. So as soon as I read the blurb for this one I knew I had to check it out.

This one started out pretty good, introducing us to the two main characters together right from the start. Although I have to say, I normally read first person POV and it's been a while since I have read a 3rd person POV so I struggled to stay connected to the story and really connect to the characters and their feelings for each other, I just wasn't fully feeling it and not sure if it was just me and not a lover of 3rd person or was how it was written, could have been just me.

I did really love Brant right from the start and I loved that he dropped everything for his sister and his nephew. I am not sure what it was about Molly's character but I really struggled to like her, she really got on my nerves at times. I also found the story to be really slow moving and drawn out, which again made me struggle keeping me engaged in the story.

overall this was a sweet story, wish there had been a little more heat to this one. I am not a lover of books filled with tons of sex but I do enjoy a little bit of heat and had been expecting at least some. I am probably in the minority on this one but overall this one was just okay for me.

Must Love Babies is the first sweet romance in this series written by author Lynnette Austin. It seems to be an offshoot of her Magnolia Brides series. Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the advance copy.

as Brant and Molly continue to claim to not be in a relationship, while spending great amounts of time together, meeting each other’s families, and co parenting Brants nephew while his sister is in rehab. The story unfolds as true love blossoms!

Brant Wylder fully embraces his bachelor lifestyle, he enjoys being free to roam and do has he pleases.. he doesn't have responsibilities to tie him down, so why not right? But his days of freedom are about to take a hit because his sister has been involved in an accident, and she desperately needs his help caring for her little one. Which he has to admit is a little unsettling, since he doesn't know the first thing about kids, but this might be as good as time as any to learn. One look into the face of his nephew and he instantly knows he's doing the right thing, and the small relief of knowing it's only a temporary situation until his sister is done with rehab and on the mend makes it seem a little easier. He never realized that coming to Misty Bottoms would change the entire course of his life, he came for a friends wedding, and to scout out a new location for business, and wound up finding a lot more than he bargained for!!

Molly Stiles life revolves around her bridal boutique, she thoroughly enjoys spending her days making brides dreams come true, but when it comes to her own love life there isn't a happily ever after on the horizon. She has a few hang-ups when it comes to forever, and she isn't willing to budge on her rules until everything on her list is checked off, and the stars are aligned perfectly. But she never anticipated a man quite like Brant to wander into her life, and once he does she has a hard time letting him go, he checks off quite a few of her boxes, but the timing of things is giving her fits, so she tries to put off his advances. But the man is too darn tempting, and as much as she tries to keep her feelings in check the more they try to get out of line...

Must Love Babies is a sweet little page turner that is certain to warm the hearts of readers; with it's handsome caring hero and high-spirited independent heroine there is bound to be lots of fireworks and moments that will squeeze your heart, and curl your toes! This newest offering from Ms. Austin was not only a lot of fun to read, but it left me anxious to see what she has in store for some of the secondary characters that were introduced. I must say this was a promising start to a new series, and one I am certain is going to score some serious points with romance fans, I mean what is not to love about a single guy moving heaven and earth to make sure his nephew has a good life! Highly recommend!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Although this is well written I found the characters to be somewhat lackluster. Single parent is like catnip for me unfortunately this is nephew/uncle catnip.

I'm not a fan of the inner monologue now is not the right time bla, bla, bla. And the heroine has a 10 year plan so just shoot me now will ya.

This is a matter of personal preference and I it doesn't seem to hit mine at all.

I started this book expecting a quick afternoon fluff read. I was excited to get so much more than that in both length and content. The characters are well developed with complete backstories. Everything inside makes sense within the established personalities of the cast. This is one of my favorite books for 2018.

Molly owns and operates a wedding dress store in the small town of Misty Bottoms. She has a plan. An actual written plan for her life. A hot mechanic and his nephew do not fit in her carefully crafted plan.

Brant is thrown for a loop when he becomes the temporary guardian of his months old nephew. So many changes are coming through his life all at once. Can a pretty shop owner be the magnet that makes everything else come together?

Cute story! Jax stills the show! Brant is a bachelor brought to his knees by his sister's 7 month old. The connection he establishes with this boy is absolutely adorable and at the same time I was worn out from how complicated it all seemed to Brant. Molly has been burned and hurt her entire life, especially from the man who was to always be there and love her- her own dad. Letting that hurt rule her life, Molly isn't anxious to give in or believe Brant when he is charming and loveable.

This is a series I am excited about. This town seems adorable and close knit. I can't wait to read of the Wylder men falling and can't wait for Lainey's redemption.

Cute fun read. It seemed a little more YA to me but still fun. It did get kind of bumpy in the middle I felt. Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of this book.

Brant gets a call to care for his nephew after his sister is in a horrible accident. Of course it’s on the night he meets the beautiful Molly. Thinking he will never see her again, he is proven wrong. He then stays in Misty Bottoms to open his car show with his brothers and possibly pursue the amazing Molly. Must Love Babies is about a bachelor raising a baby, a single girl who wants to follow her list, but is also fighting the urge to go away from her life plan to be with the amazing man she met.

Molly is trying not to fall in love with Brant due to her past and being hurt. The story goes on about their relationship, raising baby, and the ups and downs that come with all of it. It does get tear jerking at some point and my heart strings aches for Brant. In the end it’s a super cute love/funny story!

Hunky guy, cute little baby and southern hospitality: what a wonderful mix! We meet Brant, the ultimate bachelor, who has a successful vintage car repair business with his brothers. When he is in Misty Bottoms to attend to a wedding, he gets a call that his sister has been in a car accident. He rushes over to find her hospitalized and in desperate need of a nanny for her five months old son. As an ultimate bacholor, Brant doesn't have a clue what to do with the baby. But the cute southern girl he met at the wedding, Molly, decides to help him out. Together with the towns people of Misty Bottoms they help Brant take care of his nephew while his sister recovers.
Lynnette does an excellent job in describing the issues Brant has with his instant-daddy-ship. From using a drawer to create a bed for his nephew up until his manly speeches to help the baby fall asleep. Absolutely hilarious. And what would Brant have done without the cute southern girl? So when he resumes looking for a new property to expand the business, he finds himself looking for something near Misty Bottoms. Maybe there can be more babies in his future?
Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Must Love Babies by Lynnette Austin is the first book in her new Must Love Babies series. This series takes place in the same town as her previous Magnolia Brides series, in Misty Bottoms, Georgia. Many of the characters from that series play a big part in this one, which will focus on the Wylder brothers.

Brant Wylder, our hero, is attending a wedding in Misty Bottoms, and finds himself attracted to one of the ladies at Magnolia Brides, who are handling the wedding. But Brant has to leave early, as he gets a call that his sister was in a car accident. In a short time, Brant, who is happy enjoying his carefree life as a bachelor, will find his life has drastically changed. His sister will be in the process of a long rehabilitation, and he now must take care of his 5 month old nephew, Jax. Brant finds himself handling something he knows nothing about, and his two brothers are of no help, being out of town on business.

Molly Stiles, our heroine, is the newest member of Magnolia Brides, having opened up a bridal boutique. Molly has a list that defines her timetable for the future, and becoming serious about a man is not on the list for a few years; her business is the most important thing in her life. She does find Brant attractive, but tries to fight it off. However, Molly feels bad when she sees Brant having a hard time, and decides to help him.
What follows is a slow build romance between two people who are destined to be together, but determined to fight it off. On top of this, is baby Jax, who is such a joy to watch and to see how much both Brant and Molly have fallen in love with this precious baby.

Brant was a wonderful hero, and I loved every moment of his learning to change diapers, trying to feed him, and play with his nephew; they were so awesome together. Molly was a bit tough early on, determined not to let herself get hurt, as her feelings for Brant were becoming stronger. Though at times early on, I found her a little annoying, I absolutely loved her time with baby Jax. They too were awesome together. I guess we can say that Jax is the one who brings them together, as it was very sweet watching them with him, always pulling on our heart strings.

Austin did such a great job writing this wonderful story and making us adore Jax.
Besides the romance between Brant and Molly, the story has some issues each will have to get past. Brant and his two brothers have decided to move to Misty Bottoms to open a car shop, where they repair and design specialized cars. Brant also tries to help his sister, whose accident was due to her drinking. Molly also has an issue with her father, who left her years before; causing her fear of being hurt and not allowing her to follow her heart with Brant. These issues all play a big part of the story.

Having been a fan of Austin’s writing in Magnolia Brides, I am happy to say I really enjoy Must Have Babies, and look forward to the next book. If you enjoy pure romances, small town atmosphere, great secondary characters, cute babies and wonderful couples, you need to read this series ( I suggest you read Magnolia Brides).

No! Cute covers, especially with babies and a good looking dude on the cover dose not mean you are going to love or like.
The writing wasn't bad, I hated the heroine and I couldn't connect with her at all, she was wishy washy, couldn't make up her mind, flirts and runs back and forth with her decision making. I felt like I was missing something as soon as I started the book, like it felt like there was huge backstory missing. The romance, meh. This was legit one of the most cleanest romances I have ever read, I just with the romance at all. I dunno if it was my mood or not, but I was looking forward to something different.

I love the cover. That was one of the things that drew me. And then the premise of the story was lovely. However I did not enjoy this book as much as I expected.
Brant's sister has had an accident and Brant is left unexpectedly in charge of his seven month old nephew. Molly who owns a bridal shop has trust issues and does not know what to do when she starts becoming attracted to Brant especially since her timeline for her life has no space for love at the moment.
This story is about love, trust moving on and family
And was supposed to be a clean read
The first half of this book was very slow. Just about how Brant who is clueless about taking care of a baby has to brace up to the challenge. It was just a day to day list of what he was doing. I almost gave up. There were many possible places for conflicts and plot points but nada. It just went on and on about diaper changing, spoon feeding and bottle feeding of Jax. luckily in the last 40% or so things began to happen
Secondly there was a lot of kisses and focus on physical attraction with very little romance until the end. It felt more like they were more physically attracted to each other than actually romantically involved. So that by the end I am not completely sold that they are madly in love with each other.
And then I didn't like the writing style.
I think this was just the wrong book for me. Some other people might like it which is why I am giving it 3 stars instead of 2.
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for an opportunity to read this
This is my candid review.

From the very first page I have struggled to read this book. It is just not connecting with me and I struggled to keep reading it. I could not get into it at all.

I really enjoyed this story. Brant and Molly are an easy couple to root for and they had great chemistry. A sexy guy loving on his nephew is so hot! I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
