I liked Cowboy Seal Redemption a lot. Rose was a good wounded character that fit well with Jacks wounded character surprisingly well. I don't normally like broken people using each other as a crutch, but I did not feel like this was the case. I am looking forward to more in the series.

I LOVED Cowboy SEAL Redemption! I was already pretty attached to Jack (thanks to the first book, Cowboy SEAL Homecoming) and loved the way that Rose was revealed to us AND Jack. Their banter is great and their tit for tat bargain to help each other with different problems blossoms into something neither expected and at least one of them didn't want. The slow growth of trust and love was beautiful. This book is well worth your time. Can't wait for the next one!

I received an arc from Netgalley. A beautiful story about love, forgiveness, and hope. Jack and Rose May first appear to be all wrong for each other but sometimes unexpected attraction can lead to just what you need.

What starts out as a fake relationship blossoms into love which neither were expecting. Definitely a story I would recommend.

Five stars

Great book 2 in this series and is just such good story telling. Jack & Rose are both so damaged from their pasts it seems they are meant for each other. My heart runneth over with emotion as I watched these two amazing people with extreme chemistry heal and overcome their pasts to set forth on a beautiful future together.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book.

I am a fan of Nicole Helm, and this is the second book in this series that follows the lives of 3 navy SEAL's, trying to deal with injuries and demons left by the war. this story follows Jack, who after sustaining a life changing injury, meets Rose, a tough bar owner, who is dealing with her own demons. I don't want to give anything away, but this story was so emotional, it had me in tears at some bits. it was so well written and I cant wait for Gabe's story

To be honest, I kinda didn't want to like Jack or Rose. I didn't think they fit together as a couple. However, as the book went on I fell in love with each of them and them as a couple. This romance was also the first in a long time to cause me to cry! It's a great addition to the series. You will fall in love with Jack, and Rose.

This was a well-done story about two damaged people coming to deal with their mutual attraction as well as their own personal problems. Jack Armstrong is a former Navy SEAL who has come to live on a ranch in Montana after being badly injured in Afghanistan. He has to recover not only from his injury but from the personal wounds he suffered when his fiance hooked up with his younger brother. Now they’re married and have a baby. In an effort to reconcile the two brothers, his parents decide that it would be a good idea for the whole family to come out and visit Jack in Montana.

In an effort not to seem like he’s still pining for his cheating ex, Jack asks the seemingly tough bartender at the local bar, Rose, to pretend to be his girlfriend. Since she’s dealing with her own fears, she agrees in exchange for his protection against her abusive father who just got out of prison.

Of course, as happens in all pretend relationships in romance novels, Jack and Rose start to fall for each other. Jack is willing to move beyond his own wounds to have a real relationship, but Rose is so damaged and so convinced that she is unworthy that she refuses to consider a real relationship though she’s fine with a purely sexual relationship.

I found both characters appealing and was cheering on their efforts to deal with past hurts.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

The take on the wounded veteran hero, who is surprisingly Beta for a tough ex-SEAL, is amazing, with all those subtleties, blushes, inner musings and thoughts that Nicole Helm writes exceedingly well. Jack Armstrong is a mix of toughness, roughness and softness and solidity (I won’t say he’s “stoic”, by the end I felt the word was being overused).
I liked the heroine, Rose, too, especially when she was being mean in order to defend and protect Jack, I saw her as a kind of avenging angel and it was really fun to read.
I found this couple much more exciting than the one from the previous book in the series, but I loved to meet again Becca and Alex (and Gabe and Monika), their protectiveness and comradeship was awesome.
I guess I preferred the first part of the book, and as the story centered more on Rose’s tragic past I was already missing the “tortured Jack” (meanwhile, a healing process was taking place with our delightful wounded hero).
I found some of the talking about love a bit far-fetched, but all in all this was a great read and I’m looking forward for the next story.

The author has once again drawn the reader into the lives of three Veterans, following their acclimation to life outside of the service with staggering injuries suffered during deployment. The characters are well developed, the traumas heartbreaking while the therapeutic aspects of the story demonstrates that healing is possible with the acceptance for the help needed during the healing process...both emotional and physical.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Mmmh where to start?! I kinda starts off like any other romance novel knocking about....hot ex-military hunk meets a pretty girl BUT thats pretty much where the similiaries between this book and other romance novel end. Both characters come with a huge amount of baggage which they are muddling through in the course of the book. I love the writing style and I had some real "laugh out loud" moments with this book which earned me a raised eyebrow from my kids. I can relate especially to Jack and his veteran mates as an army wife who had to deal with a husband with PTSD. I read it in less than a day which is a tall order when you got a few little ones running around but I simply couldn't put it down. I had to know if there was a happily ever after for Rose and Jack. Oh god it was so worth letting the housework slide for 24 hours. My favourite book of 2018 so far.

I reviewed a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review and all opinions are my own. Cowboy SEAL redemption had some of my favorite topics: romance, military, and western all rolled into one book. This author was new to me but I have just been sold on future books because of this book! I am giving this a 5 star review. The characters had struggles that the reader can connect to and the writing just pulls you in to continue reading and not want to put the book down. The author got me to laugh and feel emotions with the characters. Jack and Rose, the two main characters, start in the beginning just 'pretending' and don't feel worthy of being anyone to anyone. The more they hang out, the more they start to grow together. In the end they can finally let each other in. The bridge to the next book in the series makes me excited to have the next book come out and see what happens next.

This is the second book in a series by Nicole Helm about Navy SEALS returning from combat to recuperate in a ranch out west. I did not read the first book in the series but was able to keep up with the storyline fine.

Jack Armstrong returns to the United States injured from an explosion overseas. He cannot return home to his family in Indiana because while he was deployed his brother moved in on his fiancée, got her pregnant, and married her. So, Jack ends up at a ranch out west and meets up with Rose, a prickly bar owner who has secrets of her own.

This book was a little slow to start off but then it picked up and I really enjoyed it. The book was written very well. The main characters were very well developed and complex. They had great chemistry. There was also a cast of really intriguing secondary characters.

Nicole Helm is now going on my auto-buy list. I’m definitely going back to read the first book in this series.

I really enjoyed the push and pull from the main characters. Jack I didnt feel was as deep as he could have been but still developed enough to enjoy the story. Rose on the other hand was a well developed of not well adjusted character. I really liked her. It took me until almost the end to relate these names to the Titanic lol. I enjoyed it.

After having to say goodbye to the career he thought he'd have forever Jack Armstrong is struggling a bit to find his way, his injury means he must start over, find a whole new career path, and having to do so while also trying to readjust to civilian life is almost more than he can handle. Now he finds out that his family is coming for a visit, with his ex-fiance and traitorous brother in tow, and that whole situation is still a thorn in his side, his own brother stole his fiance right out from under him... and it still stings a little more than he cares to admit. So he decides to strike up a deal with bar owner Rose Rogers, he needs a fake girlfriend and she needs a little muscle to keep the riffraff in her bar under control...so a plan is hatched, and these two wind up finding a whole lot more than they bargained for!

Rose Rogers is about as anti-man as one can get, she has been burned too many times to willing trust one, but then she has never met a man quite like Jack. When Jack saunters into her bar, asks her to play his loving girlfriend while his family is visiting, she can't help but want to help him out. But she isn't willing to offer up her services without getting a little something in return, so she counteroffers with a job, and they both get what they want... and a whole lot more!!

I loved Jack & Rose's story... it had just the right amounts of everything a good romance read should have; it was steamy, sweet, funny, and good for the heart! When I met Alex in the first installment I didn't think I could love a character more, but after spending time with Jack I can now say Alex has some serious competition, there is just something about a wounded soldier that speaks to my heart! I really think Ms. Helm has found her niche here with creating redemption stories for these SEAL's, each story comes with an captivating story line, endearing characters that you can help but feel for and fall for, and touching message that is felt deep in the heart! I highly recommend you add this one to your reading list, it's a can't miss story that will squeeze your heart and leave you with an unwavering smile!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from Netgalley and voluntarily read and reviewed.

4 1/2 Start Review.....

Cowboy SEAL Redemption is a wonderful sequel to book one and tells a story of two equally damaged and fragile souls, with rough and jagged edges that only each other can smooth.

While at times I found Jack a little whiny, overall I loved both characters and their determination to make something that starts as a farce into a long-term and devoted relationship. Smooth sailing? No. But worth the journey? Absolutely!

I’m sure reader’s hearts will be captured by this remarkable couple with their fractured backgrounds and the will to overcome.

There are times Jack gets all needy and has a one track mind, “like heck I can’t,” he growled, shouldering the door open. “And I’ll lecture you about the unlocked door later.” I really liked this book, Jack was what Rose needed and vice versa.

Get out the Kleenex. Cowboy Seal Redemption, is a heartwarming romance. Both Rose and Jack have had a hard go of it. But together they deal with their past.

Four Navy SEALs were in a truck that was blown up in Afghanistan. Three made it home, but no one was unscathed. This is Jack’s story.
Jack is working on his former leader Alex’s Revival Ranch, as he struggles to heal from his injuries, both external and emotional. The ranch is in a small town in Montana. Alex, Jack, and Gabe, the three survivors from the explosion in Afghanistan, have decided to settle there, rather than returning to their home towns and families. In the first book, Cowboy SEAL Homecoming, Alex met the woman who became his lover and will soon be his wife.
Rose owns the Pioneer Spirit bar in town. How she came to own that bar is a story in itself. She is a hard woman, forged in the fires of child abuse, and she harbors a secret she thinks makes her damaged goods, and unable to accept love that is offered to her, by her sisters or by Jack.
Jack and Rose both have favors to trade. Rose’s horrible (that’s an understatement) father has been released from prison and she’s terrified he will come looking for her and for revenge. Jack’s family is coming to town to visit him. Here is his sad back story: he was engaged to Madison before he was deployed, but while he was gone, his brother Mike had sex with Madison and she became pregnant. It was a betrayal he can’t forgive. In order to avoid appearing to still be suffering from that treachery, he asks Rose to be his pretend girlfriend. She asks Jack to be a guard at the doors of her bar on weekends, in exchange. While going through this charade they begin to have feelings for each other, feelings they won’t acknowledge to each other.
The resolution to both of their unhappy burdens requires each of them to take steps forward in their lives, and neither of them really want to do that. Will their friends and family be able to convince them to admit their love for each other or will Rose leave town before that can happen? This is a wonderful romance and an HEA that is hard won.
