All my feels... safe with Claudia Connor's lovely stories. If you have an hankering for the single parent's trope, look no further, she's it.
Strong heroine overwhelmed by a unexpected turn of events, in need for a strong shoulder to lean on. Enter the ever so dreamy hero, charming and attentive lover, gentle and caring with children, the perfect family man. Little to no angst, a really sweet sweet tale.

I've almost read Love At Last in one sitting, save for this important appointement I had today.
From the moment Clare got tangled with Deacon, I've been hooked and couldn't stop reading. The meet cute was adorable and I most definitely lived the island hookup fantasy through Clare's and Deacon story.
Both had an amazing connection, almost too good to be true and then Deacon must depart in haste leaving Clare behind, hurt and determined to protect herself from men who come to love her and leave her so easily.
Fast forwards a few months ahead, Clare and Deacon are reunited under unexpected—but predictable— circumstances that I felt a little far fetched and I want to say cliché, but I still enjoyed the pattern the author based their story on.

There's definitely something cozy and heart warming about Claudia Connor's stories. The romance is sweet and sexy and probably what is defined as "insta-love", her representation of the family dynamics, single-parenthood are spot-on, the way she writes such sweet and cute kids is truly endearing. All in all she writes the kind of romantic fantasy that just appeals to me, ticks all my boxes and warms my heart and I can't get enough of her stories.

Claire is on her honeymoon - on her own - when she meets Deacon. The get together but don't talk about their lives away from the holiday. When he dissapears she doesn't understand what she has done wrong, but months later he tracks her down. The chemistry is still there between them but can they move past what has happened to find a future happiness together?
Both Claire and Deacon are likeable characters, and this draws you in to the book.

What a heartwarming and sweet romance! I devoured this book in one day and really didn't want it to end! Claudia Connor penned a tale that had great chemistry, wonderful friendships, and genuinely made you feel good!

Clare and Deacon meet when Clare is at an all-time low. She's on what should have been her honeymoon, but instead became her lady-moon. When she encounters Deacon, who is there for a conference, she certainly isn't looking for anything romantic, but she can't deny that there is something about the tall, sexy veterinarian.

When Clare wakes up one morning to find Deacon gone without a word, she wonders if everything they shared over the past few days had meant more to her than to him. She does the only thing she can, and takes herself back to Chicago to start moving forward with her life. Will she be able to forget the man who made her feel more valued in a few days than she had ever felt in her life?

This story was filled with twists and turns that you might not expect, but they just helped to make the story that much richer. The supporting characters were also enjoyable and two characters known as M&M brought joy any time they were on the page.

If you want a feel good romance that will make you smile, be sure to pick up this title!

This was another wonderful book by Claudia Connor! She has become a go-to author for me, and this new book did not disappoint. It included a great mix of funny, swoony, and sexy.

The main characters, Deacon and Clare, were both likable and endearing. Deacon has 3 year old twin girls who add a sexiness to him as a terrific single father, as well as a lot of laughs provided by the girls. Clare is shown as a strong, independent woman from the beginning when she is left on her wedding day. The subsequent
"lady-moon" is where she meets Deacon and their connection is tangible through the wonderful writing of Claudia Connor.

I highly recommend this book! I hope that there will be related books involving Deacon's friend Jax, and especially a romance between Clare's best friend, Jess, and Clare's brother, Connor.

4 stars!

Single parent books are a huge favourite of mine and a can’t get enough of them and Claudia has once again delivered not only a good solid story but one that also gives you all the feels. I’m also not a huge fan of insta-love but for some reason Claudia manages to pull it off and pull it off well in her stories.

Clare fresh from a jilted wedding decides to honeymoon alone in a exotic location plenty sun sea sand what else could a girl ask for, of course a sexy swoony man and in steps just the person in deacon who also happens to be a single daddy who is also in the need of die down time. After a bit of miscommunication and more than they bargained for this is a sweet happy feel good love story and sometimes it’s just what you need and reminds you why you love to read in the first place ❤️

Oh my.....just big satisfied sighs about this one. Claudia Connor has written some of my all time favorite books and this one will rank right up there. I was hooked with the idea of a single dad of twins but the book delivers so much more yummy goodness. Totally sweet romantic read.

Clare and Deacon meet when she is at an all time low. They happen to be in the right place at the right time and Deacon being the totally swoon worthy hero that he is, makes Clare feel worthy again. The story takes us from hot steamy beaches to the cold winter of Chicago.

Wonderful surprise twists. Great supporting characters. Adorable M & M make the story worth the read right there. And as always, an HEA to make you fall in love all over again with this couple. Fantastic epilogue! Perfect frame for the story. Nothing constructive to say about this one. Well written and worth a second read anytime.

I’m a big fan of single parent romances. Big patch-work families that tug on my heartstrings and bring a smile to my face. Claudia Connor managed that feat with her very first romance novel Worth the Fall and I’ve been a big fan ever since.

Love at Last was almost picture perfect.

A sweet romance that checked all my boxes. I devoured it, and felt utterly content with how the author brought the couple together. This novel had everything I like about a romance. Chemistry, sexual attraction, genuine friendship, and adorable kids.

It’s one of those feel good novels, that leave me satisfied in every way. Claudia Connor has a way with words, and a true talent writing characters that speak to me again and again. Genuinely great people, that struggle but never in an overly dramatic way. Her books are uplifting and beautiful executed, exactly as I like them.

There is really not much more to say. If you love sweet romances that make you feel good – this is the book to pick. You won’t be disappointed if you love a heartwarming story that engages, and touches your heart with its beautiful plot.

And who can say no to a single dad with adorable twins. A guy that goes the extra mile to find his love and make a life together happen. I certainly couldn’t. I was feeling all fuzzy and warm with a silly smile on my face, and didn’t leave my cozy reading spot until the END. I honestly could read her books all the time. I wouldn’t say no if she would be cracking out books every few month. She is one of my favorite authors. Her writing and storytelling speak to me every single time.

contemporary romance that had me despairing at lost chances, then cheering and laughing at the same time!

Claire Franklin is all ready for her big day, waiting for the music to start. She gets a phone call from her fiancé Adam, and next thing she knows she’s on a honeymoon flight to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon, alone. On her way to a solitary dinner she literally bumps into a handsome stranger, and has a wardrobe malfunction that won’t let them go! They share dinner, and decide to enjoy the beauty of the resort together while they can.

Dr. Deacon Montgomery is at the resort for a week long veterinary conference where he is giving a lecture. It’s the first time away from his 2 1/2 year old twins and responsibility at home. The mother of the twins left when they were infants, but thanks to his family they have grown and blossomed. Claire and Deacon form an instant attraction that shocked Claire. Was she really in love with Adam (her ex) or was she just settling? Deacon decides to stay past the convention and an island romance flourishes. All they know about each other is names, and they can’t fight the sexual attraction.

When Deacon doesn’t show for a planned excursion, she is immediately worried, but then finds out he left in the middle of the night. She didn’t know Deacon had received an emergency call from his parents, one of the twins, Maci had a ruptured appendix and was having immediate surgery. He was so agitated he realized he left without even knowing Claire’s last name. All she knew was she had been left .........again

A new job, and a new place in Chicago keeps her too busy to realize how much she misses Deacon. But suddenly a very unexpected gift from their romantic week throws her life into chaos. She even hires a PI to find him. Meanwhile Adam contacts her to let her know he is marrying the woman he was cheating on her with.

The anticipation of them finally finding each other kept me reading as fast as I could. Deacon can’t forget her, and Claire, even as her life is exploding around her, misses him terribly.

I love all of Ms. Connor’s stories, but this is a special one. It can be read as a stand-alone.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to review this wonderful story.

This book was like a caramel brownie fresh from the oven. Warm and delicious. Deacon and Clare will give you warm fuzzies and make you believe in love. I’m a sucker for the traditional romance and I always wish for more at the end of a Claudia Conner book. Hoping for a book with Conner & Jess....

I love Claudia Connor and this book is no exception. While I did miss the angst of her other recent two books this story was fun and easy to read and uplifting all the way to the end a great HEA for both characters.
