When Crosby's parents get caught steeling from their investors, they are sent to jail and Crosby's life will never be the same. Crosby has hopes of going pro hockey, so to avoid the media storm he transfers colleges ... only to find out that his new teammates don't want him there. Sabrina's giving up on finding the right guy, she's going to focus on her studies and pick a major instead. But one night on her way back to her dorm from a party, she comes across a naked guy tied to a tree. When the arrogant a$$hole rubs her wrong way, she walks away and leaves him there ... still tied to the tree. And now she keeps running into the grumpy hockey player ... Mr. Hockey!

OMG ,... what a great story! I laughed so hard when Sabrina left Crosby tied to the tree. She is such a little spitfire! Crosby was such an a$$ at first but when I heard his story and how his teammates kept hazing him ,... I kinda felt sorry for him. I just loved these two characters plus the situations and banter between them is so realistic. I know I'm a little late to the show on this book ... but better late than never! A great addition to the series.

For Crosby is another amazing book by J. Nathan in the For You series. It was captivating and hard to put down.

This was a really sweet romance it is a really good sports/enemies to lovers romance. You cannot help but like Sabrina and Crosby there a fantastic couple and great characters I really liked the banter between them. This is the third book in the series and while they are all great read it can be read on its own

This book is my favorite one in the For You series. I absolutely love the way Crosby and Sabrina first meet. Crosby comes off as a grumpy, angry guy but he has layers and he's not as bad as his first impression makes him seem. Sabrina has is a pretty nice girl. She has a huge heart. She doesn't really like Crosby at first but that changes. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

This was the SWEETEST enemies to lovers sports romances that I have ever read. I loved the banter and the storyline. Plus I am a sucker for sexy hockey players! ;) This book had me all in my feels with all the swoons! I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone!

Such an interesting story with a solid plot. I liked how the author was able to combine sports and romance to make a superb romance.

This is a new adult stand-alone sports romance that I really enjoyed. This is one of the ‘hate to love’ romances that I seem to always enjoy. Add in hockey and I’m IN! There were some truly funny moments and the banter between Sabrina and Crosby was so good! This one is definitely on the sexy side – lots of sexual tension and the scenes themselves were quite steamy! If you enjoy sports romances, especially a good hockey romance, definitely check this one out. I really liked it.

I am not having really good luck with reviewing books.

Crosby was a moderately likable character, but Sabrina was hard to like. And I wasn't feeling the enemies-to-lovers chemistry between these two.

I'm a big fan of hockey romances, but this was lacking in the hockey department. Kind of like the author just threw some hockey words in while not knowing a lot about the sport. I just prefer my sports romance a little more detailed because then they feel more real.

Like I said, I did like Crosby as a character. His story felt more interesting and was easier to like. But I would've liked him/his story to be more fleshed out.

There were also a decent amount of unanswered questions/plot holes. A lot of them could have easily been resolved with another 5-10 thousand words.

But looking at the ratings/reviews on GoodReads I seem to be in the minority. There is a lid for every pot.

This book is gloriously cheesy and exactly what my heart needed. It’s well written, full of fun moments and some seriously steamy scenes. Though it’s the third book in the series I was able to fully understand and engage with the story and characters despite never having read the prior two novels.

I don’t often laugh out loud in romance novels but this one starts off with a bang with the main male character, Crosby, getting tied to a tree and Sabrina coming to his rescue only to leave hi there for the rest of the night because he’s a jerk. I nearly died it was so epic.

I adored Sabrina. She is a strong character who didn’t put up with Crosby or anyone else’s nonsense. I loved that she is the character who saves the day in this book - gotta love a girl in shining armor. Despite being no nonsense she is caring and my heart melted at her supporting Crosby.

By the end of the book I was in love with Crosby. I mean he’s a sexy hockey player with tattoos... What’s not to love?! Crosby has some serious swoon worthy lines and despite his tendencies to be an arrogant jerk and not communicate… I would totally let him tattoo my name on his arm.

I LOVED how this book took hazing seriously. FINALLY a university and administrators that don’t let athletes get away with hazing and impose harsh and necessary justice. Well done, Nathan.

My only complaint with this book is that some small components were totally unrealistic - like deans being elected and students being able to transfer universities mid semester… But they are small and didn’t really retract from the enjoyment I got from this book.

I very much enjoyed this book. This can be read as a stand alone but I think I would have gotten more out of the side characters and understood more of the history if I had read the others prior. After I finished this book, I jumped back to the beginning and started reading. I love finding new authors to enjoy.

When Crosby’s parents are imprisoned for embezzling, Crosby’s life gets flipped upside down. He went from being the star hockey player on his team, to shunned by everyone around him. With no family left, he packs up and heads to Alabama to finish out his year of college, and make it to the big leagues. Except, his whole plan to fly under the radar and finish out his year goes awry when he finds himself naked and tied to a tree by his own teammates. Let’s just say that moment was only the beginning for Crosby at his new school.

I just need to take a moment and say that I LOVED Sabrina’s character. She didn’t take Crosby’s crap at all. When she finds him tied to a tree, she tries to help him but when his attitude proves to be difficult, she throws her hands up and walks off. He was pretty cocky, arrogant, and a bit of a jerk, however, in hindsight I can’t blame him. I mean, he just found out that his father betrayed his mother, his friends all turned their backs on him, and on his first day at his new school he is tied to a tree by his own teammates… naked! I don’t blame him for being grouchy, and having major trust issues. However, when the big bear started grumbling at her, Sabrina would growl right back at him and show him that she was no pushover. Which made for some pretty hot sexual tension. Once she finds out about Crosby’s past and realizes that he’s not just a jerk, she sets off to make things right. She wasn’t above admitting she was wrong and even held out an olive branch to Crosby. I also admired her tenacity when stuff hits the fan. This girl did not go down without a fight.

This was just an all around great story. I guess I should say that it was ANOTHER great story by this author. For Crosby may be my favorite thus far. I just loved the dynamic of these two, how strong they each were, and just watching their romance slowly blossom. I loved that we got both of the POVs because it allowed me to see that Crosby was a great guy, he was just absolutely miserable and alone at his new school and was always looking over his shoulder for the next shoe to fall. If you are a fan of romance, a fan of college/sport romance, you have got to pick up this series, or at the very least For Crosby.

For Crosby, by J. Nathan, was a breeze to get through. Sabrina and Crosby meet in a unique way. She finds him naked and tied to a tree in the middle of the school’s campus. She begins to help him, but his attitude stinks. She gives up and figures he’s getting what he deserves. After being questioned by the dean about the incident, she seeks Crosby out to ask him why he didn’t report the guys who hazed him. Crosby won’t give up his reasons, but he’s intrigued that she didn’t tell the dean what she knows. Plus, he enjoys pushing her buttons. Since Crosby’s a recent transfer, Sabrina knows very little about him. She’s seen 2 sides of him, ‘Mr. Hockey—the arrogant full-of-himself hockey player—and the real Crosby. The more she gets to know him, the more she realizes he needs someone he can count on, and that someone might be her.

Sabrina was so kickass. She had so much sass and personality. I loved that she didn’t take crap from anyone. Crosby comes off as a jerk when we first meet him, but we quickly learn that he’s only protecting himself from the anger and hate surrounding his father’s actions. Once he let Sabrina in, he was a lovely guy. And I think he brought the best out in Sabrina as well. I loved watching them grow closer and fall for one another over Christmas break. The subplot of the dean trying to get to the bottom of the hazing was really interesting and added a lot of elements to the plot, as did Crosby’s back story. I thought Sabrina’s friends were cool, so much so that I plan to read the other books in this series. I had a bit of an issue with Crosby after they broke up. He kept acting as though Sabrina left him. I even went back to read it a second time because that wasn’t how it felt to me. She asked him to be honest. He chose to keep the truth hidden. But then both of them cut off contact. In my opinion, it was Crosby who broke them up when he refused to tell Sabrina what was going on, but at the very least it was a mutual disagreement. I really liked the way the story ended though. Like I said above, Sabrina was so kickass that what she did was easy to believe.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a quick contemporary romance, or anyone who likes sports stories or college stories. I really enjoyed it.

This was a sweet enemies to lovers story that was read in one sitting. Book 3 in the For You series, For Crosby is easily read as a standalone. Sabrina and Crosby are a lot of fun from their angry bantering to the sweetness of them falling in love. I particularly liked Sabrina, who is a fiery, no nonsense heroine that is rarely seen in NA books. The hockey portions are pretty decent, though I struggled to believe that a serious hockey player, looking to go pro, was playing college hockey in Alabama. It was a very distracting detail for me.

I really would've loved to see this story fleshed out a bit more. I've never read a book by J. Nathan before this and I really liked the author's voice, I just felt like the story was rushed and not given the attention it needed to be a great book.

I love a good “enemies to lovers” story.

Sabrina and Crosby stole my heart completely with their witty banter, flirty moments and heartwarming ones. I loved the build up in their relationship, the work they had to put on themselves as persons and on them together to keep watering their romance.

These two had a rough start, and with so much hate existing between them they couldn’t open their eyes to the truth, that they weren’t as opposite as they thought. In fact, they are both stubborn, strong and have big hearts. It’s impossible not to fall for them even when you want to punch them and knock some sense into them. They made me laugh and swoon. They had my heart beating faster and butterflies playing in my belly. Their chemistry is off the charts and sparks fly when they are together. I couldn’t get enough of them and because of it I found myself turning the pages faster than I expected, devouring their story.

Hilarious and heartwarming.

A little angst, enemies to lovers, little bit of sports romance. Just want I needed!

Sabrina is exactly what I love in a female character. She takes no crap, but is sweet when she wants to be. Crosby is a cocky hockey god. *rolls eyes* But is he really? A god on the ice, definitely, but maybe he's not so cocky if you get to know him. Their first meeting is both hilarious and heated. Their meet ups continue to happen and their chemistry continues to build more and more.
Their antics had me grinning and the cocky god had me swooning.

I have really enjoyed this series this far. I look forward to more from J. Nathan!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters Sabrina and Crosby, and their hate to love story.
I wasn't sure what to think of Crosby when he's first introduced, he was rough around the edges, brisk to say the least, and once you find out more about him you can't help but just love the character.

Sabrina was harder to pin down in a way. At first, she really did seem like maybe she wasn't a very nice person. But really she just has zero patience for bullshit. And I can respect that about her. So when these two finally come together, it was gloriously explosive.

I liked that this was a mostly drama-free relationship. The baggage between them was anything but petty, and I felt that they handled it the way you would expect College-aged people to handle things. For the most part anyway.

The way they stood up for each other was, in its own way, very romantic. This is a quick, but satisfying, read.

Review 1: A man forced to move to a different school. Who ends up tied to a tree butt naked. A girl who unintentionally crosses his path. Who only wants to finish college and a successful career. Both banter as if they were ex-lovers. Which makes the story even more interesting.

I wish it didn't take long for Crosby to fight back. To prove to the immature new teammates that he had no knowledge of what his parents did to these kids parents. I hated the fact the rest of the team was resenting his talent, it just made me so angry. They all judged him without getting to know who he truly is. As for Sabrina, I know it was hilarious and all when she left Crosby tied up to a tree for the entire campus to see him in all of his glories. But I felt bad for him.

Both main characters were intrigued with each other since they first met. With Sabrina's sassiness and Crosby's cockiness, they are a pair not to be reckoned with.

I can't wait for the next book. You know I am always in.

I love Crosby and Sabrina, they are hilarious. Their hate/love relationship is quite a read. Their snarky comments towards each other kept me reading. Their first meeting, with Crosby tied to a tree with all his glory hanging out for the world to see, was not only the best, but will never be forgotten.

Crosby is this cocky, hot guy, who is a really a great hockey player. He always came out as such a *sshole, but he is more than that. He had so much to offer, but felt tied up to even give his everything to anyone…until Sabrina came along. She challenged him to be something more. Sabrina was not only a smart girl, but she was determined to get everything she set her mind..which is included Crosby. Crosby was the most annoying pain in the butt to her, but after she got to know Crosby everything changed. Crosby and Sabrina became close fast and when they got together, it was nothing but sweet. Love these two and their hot hot times together was nothing but sexy. Sabrina was everything that Crosby needed, even though he didn’t know it at first. They connection was undeniable. Their hate to love relationship was so fun and entertaining to read.

This was another great read from Author J. Nathan, she never disappoints. She always knows how to hook the readers. Strong heroine is a must and bad boy turn sweet is a plus. Loved it.

For Crosby is the third in the For You series and while you definitely realize that there are some other stories that you might want to read, this reads as a standalone and I didn't feel as if I was thrown into the middle of a story. New Adult isn't a genre that I normally seek out unless it's a sports romance – I'm not sure why that makes a difference to me, but it does. Part of that might be that some New Adult books annoy me and read more like they’re Young Adult but thankfully, For Crosby didn’t fall into that category. The characters read as realistic college students without seeming like they were still in middle school with all the associated drama and angst.

Without giving too much away, I feel that an important message could have been driven home a little stronger while the characters dealt with and resolved the major conflict that Crosby faces. That being said, I'll acknowledge that maybe that message would have been somewhat better directed to a different audience than the one intended for this book, but I digress.

The meet-cute employed here was certainly unique and the chemistry between Crosby and Sabrina was certainly hot. It took me some time to warm up to Sabrina (she initially lived up to her Ice Queen nickname for me) but once I got to know her better, I warmed up to her. I'll admit I kind of loved Crosby right from the start – especially considering everything he was having to put up with. Sabrina calls him Mr. Hockey and hates his cocky attitude, but I didn't feel he came across as that much of an a$$.

An enjoyable read and I'll be checking out some of the other books in this series as well.

I enjoy reading a NA novel from time to time and particularly like sports romances. For Crosby was light on the sports (which was fine), but unfortunately it also had nothing else going for it. It reads like the thousands of other NA books with a few tweaked facts.
