Thanks to netgalley.com and Serial Box for the advance copy for my honest review.

"Deadly Oasis", is the eighth installment of a series that, will total 11 episodes, that makes up False Idol, Season 1 and the author varies with each episode.

This installment reads better with Layla discovers that James is as deep into as his father, while breaking up with him at the gallery. Felt it was kind of dumb for her to steal the IT guys keys that where left in his office door. Since the place is secure, with camera's, alarm's even and can't forget Mackay's onto her.

Then at Jehan's would have been more interesting if the two where working together. Since she couldn't snoop or get information on the visit and lame that the employee of Jehan's dad was interested in her.

Felt like with the FBI doing an illegal operation in Egypt, where even their government doesn't know about Layla or Pierce and seems like they would have been more careful, had either a 2nd safe house or Pierce keeps all the complied information in her embassy office. Plus if Pierce had informants, it's a given that the government would also.

Just seems when Jehan's dad's team show up they would have had someone watching the back of the building, especially with the fire escape and away for the two escape them.

Otherwise it was pretty decent read with a good cliffhanger ending.

This series continues to maintain a steady pace of twists and turns in the story.

This installment starts connecting some of the various storylines and characters previously introduced. I have been enjoying the episodes to date and this one is on par. A good solid continuation with another cliffhanger. Will see if Layla can escape before she is found!
