Reuniting Reality is a fun quick girly read. It’s an interesting story about a young woman that gets invited to be on a reality reunion from a reality show she was on years ago. The same reality show that lead to a ruined marriage, a falling out with a best friend, and a somewhat tarnished public reputation.

The main theme of the novel is the importance of having honest and open communication with the people that are closest in your life and also about recognizing when someone is being real and honest with you vs. the people who will lie and cheat and do anything possible to make a quick buck and get their time in the spotlight. There was also the perspective that true friendships can survive through thick and thin, and it’s never too late to admit past wrongdoings and rekindle friendships that you may have thought were lost forever.

True colors always show themselves eventually and good always overcomes evil. I loved the ending of the novel, I suppose in part because I’m a big believer in Karma and that you get back what you put into life. Great read that I highly recommend, I can’t wait to see what Nikki writes next!

Laugh out loud funny. This was a interesting book idea, and it was fantastic. What happens when you find out in front of thousands of people that your husband is a lying cheating piece of crap? You disappear into the world and hide until you need to surface years later. This book was fantastic. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.

Reuniting Reality by Nikki LeClair is a book full of hilarious antics and outrageous moments that are wholly imaginable in a reality TV show setting. The book was a quick read with enough drama to keep me interested from beginning to end. I'm not much of a Real Housewives of Whatever-City fan and I don't tune in to The Bachelor, but this book had just the right amount of petty behavior and over-the-top shenanigans to keep me interested.
Julie Duncan starred on a reality tv show, Daughters of Famous Mothers, four years ago and is still living with the fallout from it. In true reality tv fashion, she found her husband cheating on her with her castmate and dramatically left the show mid-season. She not only lost her spouse, but her best friend as well when she couldn't handle any reminders of the past. However, she is now left taking crummy jobs to earn money, living with her sister, and has no ambition for bigger and better things.
Then her agent presents her with an opportunity to film a week-long "reunion show" with her former castmates. She balks at the idea, not wanting to jump back into the drama and dredge up all her buried hurt and anger. However, the need for money and her wish to reconnect with her former best friend have her signing the contract and flying off to the winterland resort where the reunion will be held. Once there, she meets up with her former castmates (including her ex-husband and that castmate who is now his wife) and a producer of the show with whom she shares a complicated history.
Drama ensues with plenty of laugh-out-loud theatrics throughout the whole reunion. While I liked the characters and their varying levels of pettiness, I wish some would have been better developed. The Reagan and Declan thing was a bit too dramatic for the situation and I sorta wished the ending would have been a bit more resolved for the entire cast. However, the negatives are far outweighed by all the positives this book boasts and I would definitely recommend it, especially for fans of pretty much any show on Bravo.

*I was provided with a copy of the book by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Reuniting Reality by Nikki LeClair is a cute romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud. Julie Duncan participated in a reality show called Daughter's of Famous Mothers where she was embarrassed when it was revealed her husband was having an affair. Four years later she agrees to do a reunion show, because she needs the money. I really enjoyed this book, sometimes you just need to escape from reality, and what better way. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick and fun read. I will be reading more books by this author.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Readers, in case you’ve ever considered being on a reality tv show, because you thought it might be exciting, or a lot of fun- heed the story of our poor heroine, Julie.

Author LeClair‘s latest book is different from her first series. She’s created a clever idea- the filming of a reality show called “Daughters of Famous Mothers.” She’s combined a variety of daughters, snarky, desperate, looking for love type women and put them all in a fabulous winter resort for a week’s filming of the show. I had fun reading about the production of this type of show, the hot mic moments, as well as the food, fashions and entertainment. The story provides plenty of romance and relationships, tears, and some humor.

If this sounds like a blast for you- then you will enjoy this book. I have loved the author’s earlier books, but I didn’t love this story. I think I would have liked it better if the book didn’t rely so much on backstory. Maybe the backstory deserves its own book?

I was definitely looking forward to this book, I am still in a reality show mood. Sadly... I just can't finish this book. I didn't even get to the reality show before I had to drop the book. The MC is just no fun, annoying, whiny, complain, and who the hell walks on bad boots up a fucking mountain.. I get she didn't want to accept help from Jerky McJerkFace Declan, but pulease.... Stay in your damned car. Also it felt so much like I missed a first book, while this should be a standalone according to sites. I just didn't get why our MC was making such a fuss out of everything. *rolls eyes*

Reuniting Reality is everything I want in a book. It is strong, gripping, addicting and clever. It's about Julie, aka Jules and her spiral from fame to a washed up nobody in her sisters condo. Her mother is a greedy, fame grubby, good for nothing social media darling who hasn't forgiven her sudden, shameful exit from the show.

A few years later after she lost everything due to her ex husband Adam shacking up with evil, bitchy Diana and the loss of all her income...she needs a change.

The show is having a reunion and they want her back...the only catch? The man who betrayed her is running the show, can she handle it? Between girl drama, clothes stealing, fake boyfriends and social media affairs...this book is everything you could ever want! Nikki LeClair has outdone herself with this reality tv epic romance that will leave your toes curling, dying for more.

Four years ago, Julie Duncan took part in the hit reality TV show ‘Daughter of Famous Mothers’. She took part alongside her husband and her best friend but reality proved shocking as her world and relationships fell apart with her discovering her husband having an affair with someone else on the show. Now she’s struggling to find work, but then she is offered the opportunity to participate in a reunion of the participants from that original show. She agrees, providing the producer, her ex and his now wife are not involved….. All is agreed, contract signed and she turns up to discover she’s been duped. They’re all there. That’s the start of a story full of humour, lies and secrets to be revealed!

Most of the lies are initially from Julie - including inventing a boyfriend, naming him and then being astounded when he turns up acting as if they’re really a couple! It is a behind the scenes look at reality television at its worst. There’s plenty of double crossing, manipulation of participants for maximum screen impact and antagonism. However, there are also relationships to be rekindled and true love to be found in this romantic comedy that had me turning the pages and laughing out loud!

I requested and received a copy of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

Reuniting Reality takes up deep into the world of reality shows, where we can catch a glimpse of how really ""real"" these shows are. This is a love story of a down on her luck actress Julie, who is now opening grocery stores, helping pet shop owners conduct shows for kids and all kinds of small gigs. She is then offered to do a comeback for Daughters of Famous Mothers reality show which did not end well for her several years ago. During that show she caught her then husband having an affair and was betrayed by two of her friends. She absolutely refuses. Until she is coerced into doing it.
Love story at its best with a happy ending, with many twists and turns along the way.
I liked the characters, with all their good and bad traits. I also enjoyed looking behind the scenes of reality shows and finding out how it really works.
Fun, entertaining read with lots of humor, romance, friendship and second chances.
I highly recommend it.
