This book is so fun. I read it on a long school trip, many hours on a bus with a bunch of teenagers, and it helped immensely to pass the time. While others complained about the long ride, I was like, I'm doing just fine. When else do I get to spend all day reading? And such a great, interesting story to dive into.

That evening, after we took the students out to eat, we were sitting at a park, and I was reading again. The students wanted to know what I was reading - so I tried to summarize it. Wealthy, handsome, billionaire werewolf/fairy meets a woman with a mysterious past - one she isn't even aware of until she meets him and something in her stirs. Anyway, it's been a few months since I read it - I am so behind on writing book reviews - so a little fuzzy on details, but I had the students hanging on my every word. The next day, they were all, "What happened next?" And it got me wondering, has Hauf ever considered writing YA fantasy? Some Beautiful Creatures stories geared toward younger readers, with less steam? Of course, in my descriptions to the students, I left out the sexy times - which Hauf always does very, very well.

I loved these characters, all the wonderful magic and the descriptive Paris setting (when I was in Paris this summer, I walked by a signs and was all, there's the hospital mentioned in Billionaire Werewolf's Princess). The story is fast paced, and seeing the characters learn about their past made for a thoughtful read. Each of them had to deal with coming to terms with their true identities, both growing up thinking they are something they weren't.

Very much enjoyed this book. Would recommend to anyone who wants a fun, sexy read involving werewolves and fairies and saving the world (or at least the children of Paris.)

I received a copy of this via Netgalley.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Indigo has just been dumped and is drunk when she meets Ry. He’s a billionaire werewolf/fairy who is called the Sidhe Slayer because he’s slaying the collectors who have suddenly started crossing the line into the human world. This is such a good storyline that is fun and fast paced. There’s exciting things happening, and you meet some interesting people. Ry and Indigo are different but also alike. Indigo has a lot hit her and it’s interesting how she learns to cope with it. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I thought the obvious “Mary-Sue” character was confined to first time authors of bad fan fiction, but I was so, so wrong. THE BILLIONAIRE WEREWOLF’S PRINCESS is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t pick a book based on the title alone. It was painful to finish, and although I’ve enjoyed Michele Hauf books in the past as fluffy escapism, this was just too much. The characters were unlikable, the plot was predictable and so many details turned me right off.

Indigo was incredibly annoying; she wears kitty ears (as an adult), started a multi million dollar company that makes no sense, and she has the self esteem of a limp noodle. She’s a nudist with a massive trust fund who gets shit-faced when her date stands her up at the beginning of the book. She was more like a spoiled child than a heroine, and her being able to wield a sword for the final battle of the book was preposterous, even if she took a fencing class as a kid.

This book makes a big deal about identity and discovering that what you thought was your reality was an elaborate lie. Rhy thought he was 100% werewolf, and was betrayed when he discovered otherwise, and Indigo goes through a similar acceptance of her origins. This acceptance is also mirrored with the most stereotypical male to female transgender woman I’ve ever read about. Kristine’s dialogue is standard, supportive and so, so predictable. I also hated that Indigo, who is supposed to be a modern champion of women (her business is for other “goddesses” and supports low income women) tells Ry “you know your secretary is a man, right?”. This prejudice, which lasts about two pages before she’s bffs with Kristine, was jarring and only served to make me dislike Indigo more.

One of minor characters was a half-vampire-half-fae called Never. Every time I read his name, I was shook out of the narrative trying to figure out how I had misread the sentence. I NEVER got used to it.

Oh, and fairies ejaculate glitter.

He ejaculates in her pool and she comes out all glittery. That is neither sexy nor sanitary.

This book was a chore to finish; the tropes were plentiful and annoying, the plot was predictable and the characters were idiotic. I have no interest in reading about a perfectly quirky girl whose main concern is balls, pretty dresses and whether or not she gets stood up. When your boyfriend says he has to go and save his transgender secretary from bullies on the subway, you put on your big girl panties and enjoy the party without him, or even better, go back him up. Grow up, Indigo Ducharme. You’re not charming at all.

Review goes live on June 01 and will show up on Goodreads sometime later.

In a Flutter: Cool concept, but it didn’t work out
Fluttering Thoughts:
Worldbuilding: The Paris setting was a nice touch, and the paranormal elements of werewolves, vampires, fae, and hybrids was cool.
Characters: While Ry and Indi were nice concepts, I didn’t get emotionally engaged at all. In fact, I got detached pretty fast – particularly from Indi. Ry could have gotten to me, but in this setting and story it just didn’t happen.
I liked Kristine ans the nod to diversity.
Plot: Billionaire romance with a paranormal twist – the idea is cool, but unfortunately it’s not one of my fav tropes and character would have sold it to me. The changeling arc had a lot of potential but didn’t get me excited up until I gave up reading.
Writing: Third person, past tense narrative, his/her POV. I’m not of a fan of the style, because it feels a bit too narrative.
Curb Appeal: Fabulous cover, hooking blurb – on presentation plus author name (I’ve read 3 other novels by Michele Hauf and really enjoyed them), it’s impulsive buy material for my PNR moods.

I DNF-ed at 59% into the read, because I kept remembering how much fun I had with the first 3 novels I read by the same author, but this time it just didn’t work for me. If you’re into princess-like chicks and billionaire badass guys with a paranormal twist, you’ll surely enjoy The Billionaire Werewolf’s Princess more than I did.

I wasn't a huge fan of this book. I had trouble getting into it and I dunno it just didn't hit the spot.

I found this a delightful read. I loved Ry and Indis relationship, they fitted so well. The story moved along well and kept me entertained. I'm a bit sad to have finished it as liked the characters so much!

Goofy, attention-stealing title, but predictable story, which should satisfy those who like standard paranormal mass market books.

I was given an advanced copy of this book from NetGallery in exchange for an honest review.

This is book is fun, fast-paced, and a decent story. I really enjoyed reading it and didn’t want to put it down. The characters had decent development and the storyline was believable for a paranormal romance.

Sorry but I couldn't get into the book at all. I tried though, I'm so sorry for my ADD brain.

Cute quick read, loved their nick names for one another and the chemistry. Would have liked an epilogue but it’s all good.

A paranormal romance packed with thrills, steamy sex and suspense makes for a real page turner. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for more from Michele.
