This isn't my usual kind of reading but since it was offered to me and sounded like it might be humorous, I thought I'd give it a try. Surprisingly, I found it to be rather boring and didn't enjoy the writing. There seemed to be so much 'filler' between anything approaching humorous that it was a chore to slog through it.

The idea of the book about research into sex after 60 sounded different so I decided to give it a try in spite of it not sounding like my usual idea of entertaining reading.

Unfortunately, the endless run-on sentences and the paragraphs that ran an entire page just annoyed me too much. Yes, there was some humor, but not enough to keep reading.

Thank you NetGalley for the advance reader copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

Working in gerontology I fully expected to love this book but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I made it about 15% of the way through before I put it back down. The story starts by covering two main characters, a gerontologist looking for a new project and a psychiatrist that had a breakdown. The gerontologist joins the psychiatrist to cover the topic of sex after 60 and they intend to do so by reviewing case notes of the patients they have worked with. The first case is a veteran who develops prostrate problems.

I can't offer any more information on the plot than that because I put the book down. While I did enjoy the fact that the author was willing to write about sex after 60 which is not something that is ever done respectfully in media in any form, I felt that it was disjointed. I didn't find myself connecting with the characters or wanting to read more about them. Sergeant Jones was an okay character, but I guess I was expecting something different when it came to the author presenting a case study than what was actually offered.
