God save me Seamus was such a caveman, I honestly don't think allie knew what to do with her man at times:
She points at me, looks away, and points again. “You grabbed my ***.”
“Yeah, a few times,” I agree.
The O'Brien family is crazy, they're all sharing is caring even if it's TMI, “it’s not Allie’s fault she had *** with a loser. The important thing is she’s having *** with Seamus now. Isn’t that right, Seamus?” Seamus doesn't undersrand why his woman doesn't listen to him at times, “how come you’re not naked?” he asks. “I haven’t seen you since last night. The least you could do is walk in here naked.” I liked this book, and I love this family.

This was my first book by this author in this series. I have read previous books by her.
I greatly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading all the previous books in this series.
Allie knows Seamus’ whole family from living in the same town, school, church, etc. Seamus doesn’t seem to remember her at first, but then he remembers her kindness.
Circumstances have them pretending to be dating. For practice, these two go out to eat together and talk all the time. Slowly, they begin to build a relationship and fall in love. It was a very sweet love story. I won’t lie though… at first, I did not like Seamus. I thought he was a jerk with an over inflated ego. However, in the end, I would take him as a book boyfriend.

“Don’t worry about it. She’s . . . nice.”
“When you say ‘nice’ do you mean all her tats are spelled correctly, or she won’t burst into flames if she walks into church?”

I’m currently lost somewhere between happy and not-at-all happy. Why? Because I’ve finished Save Me, the final book in Cecy Robson’s O’Brien Family series—and . . . I’m not ready for it to be over.

To say I adore this series is a serious understatement. There’s something about this family, about these books that has held me captivated for years. Years, guys. Maybe it’s the fact that there’s something for everyone in these siblings who run the gamut from serious and (somewhat) stoic, to bruised and broken, to amusing and altogether adorable, and everything in between.

Or maybe it’s just the way Ms. Robson writes. In Save Me, she’s at her light-hearted best, giving Seamus a lovable quality that’s melded perfectly with his passionate, protective side. And yet, there’s so much more to this book than just good feels—though you’ll find those in abundance.

As always, the focus on family—the good and bad of it—is at the center of this story, giving it a grounded foundation that allows Seamus and Allie to build something amazing. It’s fun and flirty and a standout friends-to-lovers romance, but it’s also capable bringing on tears from the beauty and, yeah, sometimes the pain of it, too.

Except, now, it’s over. Not just Save Me itself, a book that could’ve had one page or chapter or sequel more and still held my absolute attention, but this series, too. And I’m not ready. That’s why this ending is so bittersweet.

That is why I’m happy and not-at-all happy all at once.

“I love you, Allie. I just need you to love me, too.”

~ FIVE STARS ~

DNF @ 25%.

One line, and I’m out faster than a rat up a drainpipe.

“I’m just telling you to change the way you dress around me.”

There was no saving this for me after that. Nothing could redeem Seamus O’Brien.

Shame as I was hoping this series would end on a high for me.

Loved, Loved, Loved this book. I am a big fan of Cecy Robson, so getting to dive back into the world of the O'Brien's was everything I thought it would be and more. I'm sad that's it is the final book, but happy that not only Seamus got his happily ever after but getting to attend the weddings of all the previous O'Briens that I loved reading!

Seamus and Allie are perfect together. I loved his no filter personality and her somewhat reserved one. You wouldn't think the two would mesh, but Cecy writes these 2 to fit together perfectly! I am sad to see the O'Brien books come to an end, but on the other hand everything feels complete. Now, it may be time to dive back in and read them all from the very beginning.

Highly recommend this book and the entire series! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

This entire thing started out as two people helping each other out in a time of need. All they needed to do was fake a relationship and attend weddings together. That's what the deal was but they ended up with so much more.

I'm not going to lie. I did NOT like Seamus in the beginning. Not even a little bit. He seemed crass and uncaring. Especially the way he spoke to women, at his age. But as I went on he totally grew on me. He is completely unapologetic and believes in what he says.

Allie is the younger sister who was pushed aside due to her older sister's beauty and famous success. Her sister is vapid and cruel where Allie is sweet and caring. The exact thing Seamus seemed to need. And vice versa. Seamus made Allie see what she is truly worth and at the same time he saw exactly who he wanted. I LOVE the O'Brien family. They're awesome, especially in comparison to Allie's family! I grew up in that Mexican household and they way they treated her and expected her to act hit home. It's crazy!

I love the growth of these two people. They were truly perfect for each other in every way!

Cecy Robson is an author that hit the mark with her Weird Girls series. "Save Me" is the fifth in the O'Brien Family collection. Seamus O'Brien is the oldest in a family whose sibling are all paired up with the loves of their lives. Allie Mendes is a successful business women who resides in the shadow of her sister Valentina who is marrying her previous boyfriend Andres. This is a stand alone novel but it spent a great deal of time revisiting the prior O'Brien couples. Characters just fell short for me as did some of the over the top unrealistic events. This was an easy read but one of the books you wish would have been shorter. "A copy of this book was provided by Crushstar Media, LLC via Netgalley with no requirement for a review. I wish I could give this book more stars!! This book is Seamus and Allie book, Seamus is a sexy hot Irishman with a funny witty humor! The irish-isms, the Catholic references, the hair dresser the Velcro shoes!! Omg this book had everything!!! It was my favorite read of 2018!! Allie was a little broken shell from her evil messed up family but with Seamus help she definitely turns it all around!! I had tears rolling from laughing so much!! The Wit the humor the heartfelt moments it was just an awesome book!! It can definitely be read as a standalone I didn't feel like I missed anything seeing as how I haven't read any of this series but I am immediately going to read all the others in this series and I hope they're just as good!! I really enjoyed this book, although I don't want to stop visiting the O'Brien's! I was happy to see Seamus settle down and I adored Allie. Her sister? Not so much! Nor was I impressed by Andres! Allie was well rid of both of them!
I loved reading about Finn and Wren's weddings! I love that Finn infused his wedding to Sol with fun and Wren had me in tears with the tributes she played to her brothers and mother in her wedding to Evan. I was so moved by the ceremony between Declan and Melissa as well. Good to hear that Angus is finally going to marry Molly although I'd love a novella to get the story of how he finally decided to set a date with Molly!
Of course there was also plenty of laughter as there always is with the O'Brien's, that family cracks me up with their banter and stories.
This book was amazing and just captivated me from start to finish!

The book follows the story of Seamus and Allie as they decide to enter in a mutual fake dating deal to help with each other families. This is the last book of a series around the O'Briens but can be read as a standalone and it's written in first person PoV that alternates between characters.
In the beginning, I wasn't too thrilled about Seamus, he seemed a little bit of a jerk, both in what he said to Allie and his thoughts as well. But you grow fond of him throughout the book, especially as you get a glimpse on his backstory and realize that while a little brash, he really is a decent guy.
Allie is also a character that is a little frustrating in the beginning, but also develops throughout the book until you want to love her and protect her above all things. The references of both of them about catholic upbringing were hilarious!
What makes the characters so endearing is their kindness and a fierce loyalty to those they care about.
I really enjoyed the slow burn of this book and how the characters take time to fall in love and it's not something that happens from one moment to another... they take time get to know each other again and build into their relationship.
The conflict(s) in the story are believable, well treated and they show both characters dealing properly with them.
At some point you want to scream at them for all the UST and the miss opportunities, but it's so wonderful when they finally get together.
The author does a great job in conveying both characters' voices in their PoV and giving them a layer of reality.
I fell completely in love with the O'Briens and I plan to read all of the books now!

This needs all the stars!! What an emotional ending to an amazing series that was filled with some of my favorite characters. I laughed out loud at some of Seamus's stories and comebacks while I sobbed at Declan and Wren's weddings. I loved every word of this

I think this is a love-it or hate-it book. I veered between three and a half and four stars but in the end I decided on four stars.

Seamus O'Brien is (I think) the third oldest of the seven O'Brien siblings. This is the fifth book in the series and I have only read one previously, Feel Me which features Seamus' older brother Declan, the DA.

Seamus is a big contrast to Declan. He's loud, opinionated, attracted to crazy women and has a VERY high opinion of himself. His little sister Wren is getting married and she (and his mother) are badgering him about bringing a 'nice' date to the wedding. One who isn't already married, or on parole, or will set the church on fire, literally. When cornered Seamus can't stop talking and so he makes up a fake girlfriend, someone 'nice'.

Forced to assist in Wren's wedding plans by choosing various pastries for one of the events he is queueing at a local bakery when he runs into Allie Mendes. Although he doesn't recognise or remember Allie they grew up together, she taught his younger siblings at Sunday School, they went to the same school etc. Allie too has a wedding-related problem. Her sister Valentina is getting married, to Allie's high school sweetheart, the man Allie thought she was going to marry. So Seamus and Allie agree to help each other out. Seamus will help make Allie look and feel more attractive and in return Allie will be Seamus' date to three weddings due to take place.

Seamus was a problem character for me. At first he was just a bit blunt, a 'say it as I see it' kind of guy. Then around the halfway mark he and his family became that obnoxious group of loud mouthed people who make offensive comments - you know the ones that you ALWAYS get sat next to in a family restaurant. None of them seemed to have filters and all of them felt it was appropriate to say whatever the hell they wanted. Maybe that's what people are like in Philly? Anyway I started to get that Elle Casey feel about the book but I persevered. And what do you know? Under that uber-confident exterior is a man who thinks all he deserves are skanks and crazies, that nice women only want one or two 'dates' before they leave him for a real man with prospects, like a doctor or a lawyer.

Despite my mid-book misgivings about Seamus I really enjoyed this book, I liked the way that Seamus and Allie fell in love quietly and almost unnoticed. I liked the way their fake relationship went on, not a two week insta-lurve thing but weeks of texts and calls and dinner with Seamus' family and wedding rehearsals and dress shopping - yeah they were dating and they didn't even realise!

I think Cecy Robson may have a tendency to draw her characters a little too broad - you know the baddies have no redeeming qualities and everyone is a Character with a big C - but this was still a charming and thoughtful romance where I really felt they way that Allie and Seamus got to know each other slowly, supported each other and most of all made each other laugh.

I am definitely going to go back and find the first three books to see how Seamus' other siblings found love.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Save Me, is hilarious. Seamus comes across as rude, crude and funny almost all at the same time. He does what he can to get Allie to smile. Shows us what a great guy he truly is.
