When Bruce Met Cyn by Lori Foster, book 3 of the Visitation, North Carolina series. Another great book in the series. I've read past books in this series plus other books by Lori Foster and always enjoyed them. This one hasn't disappointed me. Likable characters, great storyline and dialogue. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Loved the charters, small town, witty banter and emotional thrills of this fun romantic journey where opposites attract and white hot sparks fly..... highly enjoyable reading.

Bruce Kelly is a sweet, charming and thoughtful man. He has spent his whole life helping others and understand everyone makes mistakes. When he is faced with the perfect woman for him, he is determined to win her trust and her heart. Cyn Potter is a world hardened survivor with sass and wit as her daily weapons of choice. Bruce is a little too perfect all the time for her tastes and she is going to enjoy showing him how fun being imperfect can be.....

I had no idea when I downloaded this book that it was part of a series and smack dab in the middle of it! I loved the characters and can't wait to see what happens with Jamie Creed! Lots of twists and turns that I really didn't see coming. Would definitely read again, and can't wait to get the other 4 books in the series. This review is based on a galley copy from netgalley, courtesy of the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is a reprint from Lori Foster of the series of Visitation, NC which I believe she wrote in the early 2000’s. I read the series back then ( in actual book form!) and still enjoyed re reading this time. Bruce is a preacher, Cyn is a sinner, and cannot believe that Bruce could be a preacher as he is far too good looking and if he is, why is he actually befriending her. Typical wonderful writing by Lori Foster. The book holds up quite well 15 years later. Ms. Foster did do a little updating with this book, but so slightly, that if you haven’t read the series originally, you would. To know. Love seeing this series reprinted and hope we see more.

Bruce and Cyn’s story starts out at the top of the rollercoaster. You’d better hang on for the ride because the suspense never stops.
Despite Cyn’s torrid past, she’s ready to make a fresh start. With one seemingly random choice, her entire life is about to change. But she can’t start a new future, when the past is about to come back for her.
5 stars!!!

You can always count on Foster for a unique story. Bruce is a preacher and Cyn was a lady of the night. She's very young and did what was required to survive. At first I found it hard to believe that this preacher would fall for her, just too unlikely. However, he's open minded and encouraged her to believe in herself that she was smart and strong. Cyn is quite the lady, often brash with her no nonsense attitude and yet shy when she's with Bruce. Quite surprised how much I enjoyed it. I received this newly revised edition through Netgalley.

This is a great book by Lori Foster. I’ve read a handful of books over the years by this author but I have not read anything recently which I’m going to have to change as I forgot how good of a Author she really is which this book help remind me of that. I was totally captivated from the get go with this story, the storyline is amazing and wets your appetite for the story your going to read. The characters are just perfect for this story, the author has got them spot on and their relationship develops and grows throughout the book. They have amazing interactions between them and other characters and you can feel the romance between the characters straight of the pages. This is one sweet romantic story that I’ve had the pleasure of reading and I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone

This is a reissue of a Lori Foster classic. This forbidden romance story is timeless and just as entertaining as it was the first time around. Visitation NC is a wonderful small town and a great place to start over for Cyn Potter. She's had a hard life and she's done what she needed to do to survive. Now she's putting that life behind her and plans on keeping up the walls she's built to prevent getting hurt again. Then she meets Bruce Kelly. His kindness and goodness soon has all those walls threatening to crumble.

I highly recommend this tone.

Small town romance big city problems. When Bruce Met Cyn is a sweet good guy/bad girl romance that I really enjoyed. Cyn has had it rough and is ready for a new start she puts a pin in the map and chooses Visitation, North Carolina. She meets Bruce on her way to Visitation when he saves her from being roughed up by the trucker she’d hitched a ride from. Bruce has to convince Cyn to leave the past in the past and to give him a shot at her future. I liked that Bruce was a good guy but not perfect. This is a total feel good story I highly recommend. Though part of a series it can be read standalone.

This is my second book from the Visitation, North Carolina series and I'm hooked! I love all these characters in this small town. My love for a book/series grows when there are great side characters that add to the story and you get that in this series. They can also all be read as standalone if you aren't one for series.

While the first book was highly entertaining and funny, this third book was more serious with heavy subjects. It was still very entertaining and had a lot of funny moments, but the main story is dealing with Cyn's child abuse and the threat of her past coming after her. This may have too sensitive subjects for some readers.

I have not read book two yet but the couple is in this book and they have me so intrigued by their relationship that I will be reading book two next. And Jamie Creed! I think anyone who has read any of these books would be enthralled by Jamie Creed. What an unusual but very appealing side character. Well done to the author for such a great series! Cynthia Potter, twenty-two years old, has been on her own since she was seventeen. She ran away from a bad life only to get herself into something not really that much better. But she survived, and that’s all that matters. That was all that ever really mattered, until she met Bruce.

Bruce Kelly is used to taking care of people. And that’s something that Cynthia is not used to. But when her past starts to get really close to her happy present, she has no other way than to stay close to the kind of man that she always wanted but never met.

I know I’m late to the party because this is my first book of the series but this is not my first Lori Foster’s book since I’m a huge fan of good ol’ Foster (she’s not old, she’s just really good at what she does)!

So, what’s with all the fuss about this book? Bruce is a preacher! Yes, a preacher or a minister or whatever you want to call it. Now, I don’t know how it works where you live, but where I’m from, a preacher is just that, a preacher. He can’t have kids, or marry or so much as think of a woman the wrong way! So it is kind of expected that some people absolutely hate this book. But between you and me, do I hate it? Hell no!

Want more? Cynthia is an ex-hooker. She was a hooker for five years in order to survive. Did she like was she was doing with her life? No, but she didn’t have any other option either.

So, besides a relationship between a preacher and an ex-hooker, another subject that might bother some of you is the age gap. She’s twenty-two whilst he’s already thirty-five and counting. So, if any of this is something that’s out of your comfort zone, this might not be the ideal book for you.

My opinion? Honest to God, contemporary romance books are currently being done like printer paper: all the same except dimensions (length in this case). So how do I feel about this book that has, not only one, but three topics that are so different? I feel like Lori Foster just blessed us all! Besides what I already mentioned there’s also some mystery involved along with the ol’ good hot romance we all love!

Each book of the series feature different couples, so even though they’re all friends or even blood related, you don’t need to read the other books to read this one! But if you already did, then do yourself a favor and read this one two so you can revisit some of your favorite characters!

When we first meet Bruce we know him as the Preacher. He is a strong, kind and gentle soul. If you've read in previous books you know that Visitation is a magical place and trouble always seems to follow those new to Visitation. That is no different when Cyn enters the picture. You can't help but feel for Cyn when her past is revealed. You understand the hesitance with Bruce. After all he is a Preacher and she was living a colorful life. Something about these two just draw you in and you can't help but love the sass of Cyn and the protectiveness of Bruce. I really enjoyed this one. I can't wait to see what comes next in Jules story.

This is a re-release and part of the Visitation, North Carolina Series. I was worried the story would be too dated but no problem. I did not notice any obvious changes to the story while I was reading but I think some technology may have been adjusted.

Cyn has been living a hard life. She escaped abuse and turned to hooking to support herself. It was a lucrative business that didn't require ID or personal information. She never intended to make it her career and now she is ready to stop running and make a permanent change.

Bruce may have found his calling as a preacher but he never intended to live his life alone. When he picks up a hitchhiker in a diner parking lot he had no idea his world was about to change.

How does a preacher and an ex-prostitute build a life together? I guess you will just have to see for your self.

this Book did not resonate with me. Cyn(thia) was a tough character, and I have no problem with them. However, to me she didn’t ever grow into a character that I could like.

Bruce is a pastor who doesn’t really act like a pastor. I think I would have liked this book better if he’d been a social worker or something like that.

There didn’t seem to be any chemistry between them. The relationship just didn’t work.

Opposites attract ! Cynthia has had a hard life. It has not been easy for her. Bruce’s life is about helping people like Cynthia get their lives straight. These 2 have instant chemistry and the town... wow. I want to move to Visitation! I can’t wait to read this entire series

Was Cyn really a bad girl or a troubled one just trying to survive? Something pulls her towards this small town where she is ready to start a new life. Minister Bruce is struck dumb, chemistry is off the charts. Can she escape her past and find happiness with Bruce?
I was totally glued to my kindle, who is the bad guy? Will Cyn have her happy ending?
Such a fun romance in between the heart stopping moments.

I like this Lori Foster series; talk about your forbidden romance. The former prostitute meets the minister, that’s something you don’t see coming. But Bruce is such a wonderful man, always helping others and he’s so protective. He immediately wants to help Cyn even though she seems to have everything handled herself. It’s actually really sweet to watch their friendship develop and especially for him full in love with Cyn.
Nice addition to this series.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.

When Bruce Met Cyn, by Lori Foster is an intense contemporary romance and the third book in the Visitation, North Carolina series.

Cynthia "Cyn" Potter is ready to stop running and start over in Visitation, North Carolina, where Bruce Kelly lives.

After a traumatizing childhood and specific tragedy, Cyn ran away and started over, yet she was young and struggling to survive. Five years later, she's saved enough money to start a new life, again. This time, she's determined to be different, yet the past is sometimes difficult to overcome.

Bruce Kelly first meet Cyn, when he tries to help her. Their tentative friendship is stressful, due to their reactions to each other. Bruce is slightly older and a pastor, who is used to helping people, but Cyn doesn't believe he's not expecting something in return. As the story unfolds, Bruce and Cyn's relationship develops and grows towards romance.

When Bruce Met Cyn is geared towards those who prefer reading serious and dramatic modern romances.

For some reason, this is the first book I've read in this series. (shame on me) - But I can honestly tell you that you can red it without reading the other books in the series.

The characters are fun, quirky, and interesting. A little romance, a little suspense and this is a nice package to read - probably in one sitting like I did.

I dreaded reading this book when I fpund out that it was part of a series because I haven't tead the other books yet. I've learned that this has been published by a different publishing hoise begore and is just going yo be re-released.

I'm not sure about the difference but even if I'm missing some infos about the other characters and happenings, I can say that I enjoyed reading this.

The book is actually hilarious at time and the other characters are worth checking out for.

This is basically about a preacher, Bruce, who just relocated in Visitation, North Carolina to set up a church when he met Cyn, or Cynthia who's running away from something. From there, their connection is quite undeniable but Bruce held off for Cyn's sake.

The character combination is quite daunting although not really unbelievable. This just proves us that "all is fair in love and war" or "love conquers all" is something you have to really want and you must fight for to achieve.

A romance that you'll either love or hate, this book has been a different one for me. And in a good way. It's actually a first time that I've encountered a goody two shoe hero in the aspect where he's a preacher and is actually a clean romance compared to others.

Now as I've said, I don't know the difference between the now and then content of this book, but from what I've read, I liked and enjoyed. And I think if you've read the other books from this series, then you'll more likely to enjoy this as much.
