This is the first book in the series that I have read. Now I need to go find the first book! I enjoyed this investigative duo as they each bring their own special talents to the team. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I received a copy from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

A Blind PI, his girlfriend and an ex-cop make up T&A investigators. Short on cases, but with a huge financial windfall, they take on a compassionate missing person case.

The book is slow to develop the plot, and although the main characters are developed with some colour, they lack real depth.

As a murder mystery it lacks the punch needed tod raw the reader in.

Disappointing read.

ARC kindly received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting read. Shows that sometimes having money can be more trouble than its worth.

This book is fun to read and really entertaining. A book full of suspense that kept me hooked since the beginning.
It took me sometimes to get into the plot as I didn't read the previous instalment but it was worth the effort.
Recommended.
Many thanks to Poisoned Pen Press and Netgalley for this ARC

Murder to the Metal by Annie Hogsett is the second installment in Somebody's Bound to Wind Up Dead Mysteries but it can be read as a standalone.
It is very easy to get the hang of what happened in the first book as Annie constantly refers to.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I must say the first one where I have encountered a blind PI.
It was quite interesting to read how Thomas uses his other senses to discovered clue and to investigate. I also liked Annie's narrative and besides being mystery it is also a love story, full of romance and hot scenes.
Annie and Thomas met when she helped him retrieve a winning lottery ticket. They fell in love and decided to open a PI agency. Her old friend comes to them to help her find out what happened to her boyfriend and that's when trouble starts.
Fast paced, with many twists and turns but full of humor at the same time which helps balance the suspense this differs from the usual cozy mysteries and I am eagerly waiting for the next book.

Adjusting to their abundant wealth after winning the $550 million MondoMegaJackpot, Allie Harper and her blind lover Tom Bennington III are living in a huge lakeside mansion with Otis Johnson as their live-in bodyguard and gourmet chef. When Allie's librarian friend Loretta asks for their help in finding her missing boyfriend Lloyd Bunker, the fledging T&A Detective Agency has its first case. The search for Lloyd leads the pair into the illegal trade of scrapping houses for precious metals and the desperate need to get quick money for opioids. But their investigation is interrupted when someone cracks the mansion's high-tech security system. Allie and Tom find themselves dealing with a talented hacker and his ruthless employer who seem determined to steal their fortune.

This was a fun-filled read and another enjoyable entry in this mystery series.

I received an eARC via Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and provided this review.

I love a book that captures the essence of the portraying characters as they handle the tasks at hand as they circumvent the life that they are leading. Taking in their first case, Tom and Allie are confronted with the world of “Scrapping” and how it factor in the demise of their client’s boyfriend. Further prodding into the case put them in danger and it is the follow-through that makes this story intriguing. Trust, security, money, associates and BFF all play pivotal roles in the telling of this tale which had me gorging every word and action in this visually descriptive narrative that had me standing next to the team as they fought their way to place where they are comfortable. The author did a great job in setting up the mystery that kept me glued to the pages as I had to know what happened next. The outliers were plentiful and it was interesting trying to figure out who was the good versus bad. At one point, I held my breath because I did not want the bad guy to be the good guy. You’ll have to read this book to see how that turns out. This was another great book in a terrific series and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually had to get the first one from the library to really understand what was going on in the second. After reading the first one, I found that these are really well written books and I have several customers who would really enjoy them.
