A sweet, funny story about being true to yourself no matter what. It's simply written, perfect for preteens, and a good message. I did feel like the 'mean girl' came around a little too easily, but this is a story for younger kids, so it was suitable enough. I loved the group of friends Annabelle gathered around herself as the story went on.
I hope there's more books in this series, it could easily run for a long time.
Receiving an ARC did not affect my review in any way.
I think this is a really nice book for teenagers. Easy to read but still witty and enjoyable. Also like the fact that it is a series of books! I would have loved go read something like this when I was a teenager.
I had my eye on this book for a friend's daughter who is very interested in YouTube life. What I loved about it is, it's such a new age story. The subject is very much related to today's happenings. Daphne is a hilarious character, who is a famous vlogger (that's what kids are interested these days :) Her mom is assigned to a mission in Afghanistan, and of course she's trying to cope with it. Her parents send her to a therapist. Her vlog is the uplifting factor in her life, she loves it. She makes very entertaining content. But is it going to last?
I would really recommend this very up to date book. It's lovable and heart warming, very funny.
