This is another fun read. It's a YA and it does show that, but I didn't mind. I love the cat! YEAH for the mutant cat! I needed Mr. Paw's help with my math, that's for sure! The mystery is enjoyable as well. I would like to read more books in this series, and when the children in the family are old enough, this would be a great read for them!

My copy came from Net Galley. My thoughts and opinions are my own. This review is left of my own free volition.

Sorry but I couldn't get into the book at all. I tried though, I'm so sorry for my ADD brain.

I was a little weary when I first started reading this book. It comes off as more of a middle grade then a YA book (if it is, I guess I now know why, but it had been under the YA category). I don't have a problem with middle-grade books, I just have a hard time getting into a lot of them since I feel like a lot of them tend to talk down to older readers.
The story was overall very pleasant. The plot seems to skip around a lot and it's very hard to tell whose point of view the story is it. It would be a good idea to state when the point of view is changing just so that confusion isn't there. I normally have a hard time with books that change point of view, but I kept up pretty well. I also tend to stay away from books with changing points of view because I tend not to like them, but that wasn't the case with this book.
The character's storylines were a little complex and I felt that the story could use a lot more background information to better understand things.
Overall, the book was pretty good. There is some work that could be done to make it better though.
