I absolutely adored Wes and I really liked Remi! :) I think the one thing that I felt was missing in this one vs. the previous book was the friendships. We did see Remi with her friends a couple of times, but I wish there had been more moments of them all together like there was in Bad Bachelor. I also wish we'd seen Wes with friends, too...as far as we saw, the only friend he had was his business partner, Sadie...I was kinda hoping for a bromance between him and Reed. haha

That being said, I loved the romance, and I thought that the banter between Wes and Remi was absolutely phenomenal! I'm really enjoying this series. I am a bit nervous for the third book though because I'm guessing it'll be Annie's story and I have to admit that I'm not really a fan of her character...I could be convinced to like her though. :P

I really enjoyed this one! Much better than the first one and I loved the characters. They grew from friends to lovers :)

I had such difficulty finishing this, I had to give up in the middle. It wasn't a bad writing issue but I just didn't like the characters, main and supporting. I liked the first book in the series but I think this wasn't for me.

Very good book! I think I liked the first a teeny bit better but they were both really well written and good reads! This is Wes and Remi book, we'd is the son of Broadway royalty and is just trying to make it in his own not getting recognized from his family! Remi fled Australia to head to new York and vows to never mix business with pleasure ever again! Remi promises herself that working with Wes is perfect to help her new career and she won't do anything stupid to mess things up! Like getting involved with the boss! This book had a little bit of everything it was funny, some angst, drama, and definitely some 🔥!! I definitely recommend this book and the series! I'm looking forward to book three!!! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Bad Reputation is the second in the Bad Bachelors series by Stefanie London. Bad Bachelors is based on the ramifications of a dating review site that’s taken on a life of its own, and for good or for ill, no bachelor is safe.

Bad Reputation is the story of Wes Evans, a budding off-Broadway director, and ballerina Remi Drysdale. Wes wants Remi in his show, and in his bed, but lines are drawn and Remi enforces a working only relationship – well she tries.

Stefanie London has the wonderful ability to weave an interesting and romantic tale that never fails to entertain. Her sense of comedic timing is spot on, and there are always a few laughs to be found in her books.

Bad Reputation is no exception. Wes and Remi’s relationship is slow to develop, but the pacing of the story is so well done that it never seems to drag on. I love Stefanie London’s writing style, she has the ability to weave a tale that drags you into the story and doesn’t let you go until the last page. I also loved that we had a chance to touch base with Reed and Darcy (from book one Bad Bachelor).

I really enjoyed Bad Reputation. It can be read as a standalone, but I really recommend the series be read from the beginning. There is a lot of background needed to fully understand and appreciate what is happening. Plus, book one, Bad Bachelor, is just so much fun it’s not a hardship to have to read it too!

A cute, fun read with all the angsty drama of the first book.

Remi came to New York City after sabotaging her ballet career in Melbourne. After a couple of bad auditions, she decides she's not good enough to dance professionally, so she becomes a ballet teacher. A chance meeting with Wes Evans, the son of ballet royalty, gives her a chance at something she thought she'd never get: a real chance to dance in an acclaimed ballet production.

Wes likes Remi, her irreverent attitude and especially the way she dances. He knows what it’s like to be on the outside looking in - he's there now. His own parents are not supportive of his dream – to launch a new type of ballet, one that takes it to the next level. His mother wants him to come back to the fold, to stay within the traditional lines that ballet has painted for centuries, but he just can't do it.

The romance between Wes and Remi is a breath of fresh air that neither of them were expecting. I liked the book and the chemistry between Wes and Remi is combustible.

This is the second book in the series – and I would recommend that you read book one first as there are strong links, but it probably isn't essential. Stefanie London has done a good job of catching the reader up on the basics.

Wes has broken away from his family, wanting to be successful in his own right. He keeps coming across hurdles, but a chance meeting with Remi at his niece's ballet class at least gives him a new lead dancer for his show. Then the Bad Bachelors app reviews of him cause him embarrassment and a lead funder of his project... so up and down moments abound.

Wes and Remi fight their attraction for each other whilst they work together, until they just can't, but that too leads to all manner of issues and accusations. It does seem like the show is fated to fail, and as Wes has been funding a lot of it, he will also lose a lot. And we also feel for Remi, who has finally started to believe in herself as a dancer again.

I loved the dance elements and the difficulties of setting up a show, the rehearsal pressures, the reality of the pain that a dancer grows to expect. It is very engaging and gives intensity to the story.

The other thread is about the app, and the irony that Wes connects with Reed, not realising that he is in a relationship with Darcy (story in book one) who is a close friend of Remi. It is sad when Remi realises that Darcy and Annie have not been entirely honest with her, and once again gives rise to questions about the app remaining in place.

Another excellent installment, thank you.

The Bad Bachelors app strikes again, but this time it is after Wes Evans. He was known for his family connections in the ballet world but now he is known by the reviews being left on the app. Wes thinks if he forgets about them then they will not matter. After all, they are not bad reviews, they just talk about his sex life.

Remi Drysdale left Australia four years ago and after a few bad auditions, she didn't think she was good enough for ballet anymore. Now she is a teacher at a barre studio, helping children learn ballet moves. She is doing okay until a man comes in with one of her students and he blows her away. The sparks between them are off the charts. Turns out the man is none other than Wes Evans and after he sees Remi dance, he wants her in his off-off-Broadway show.

Remi accepts Wes' offer to join the show but refuses his offer for a date. She can't mix business with pleasure. Not again, because in the end she will lose.

When a problem comes up, Wes has to tell Remi. But can he tell her without losing her? Can Remi trust him to pick her over the show? Will she lose everything again? Can Wes let her go if she decides that is what is best for her? What will happen to the show in the end?

I loved the first book in this series, but I think Wes and Remi is my favorite couple. This story has all the feels, you are laughing one minute and crying the next. You can feel their pain and hope they get the happily ever after because they deserve it in the end. So set back and enjoy this series, I loved it and hope you do too.

I really enjoyed London's recent installment of the Bad Bachelors series. Determined to make his own way, West Evans cuts ties with his mother's ballerina company to create a new broadway show. When he meets Remi, an Australian ballerina teacher, he knows he has found his star. But as their desire for each other deepens, they realize that mixing business with pleasure will be trickier than they expect. Will they find a way to work together and have a relationship at the same time?

4 Wine Glass #Review of Bad Reputation (Bad Bachelors #2) by Stefanie London

The Bad Bachelor app strikes again in this charming and passionate tale, Bad Reputation hits all the marks for an entertaining contemporary romance!

Remi Drysdale was a rising star in her home of Australia, before she got entangled with a fellow dancer and was blacklisted because of it. Now she teachers barre in New York , until a student's sexy uncle walks into her class and offers her a second chance at her dreams.
Wes Evans may be well known on Broadway thanks to his illustrious parents, but he refuses to use their influence when it comes to his new Off-Broadway production. It's not going to be like anything the Broadway highbrows have ever seen, he's just missing one thing.... the star of the show.
When Wes sees Remi practicing ballet he knows that she's everything he's been looking for, for his show and so much more. With her, his show is sure to be a hit. When reviews about certain personal attributes from the Bad Bachelors app begin to overshadow the quality of his production though, Wes must set aside his pride and call in every favor he can to get it off the ground. But all of that takes a backseat to what Wes is beginning to feel for Remi. Remi refuses to acknowledge the attraction that sizzles between them though, after all, sleeping with your boss is the epitome of dumb ideas and she already knows where mixing business with pleasure gets you...

Bad Reputation was another satisfying addition in the Bad Bachelors series. I'm really enjoying the over-arcing theme of the Bad Bachelors app. These stories show incredible insight into the good and bad of the modern dating scene and social media in general. As a lover of Broadway shows and ballets, and a dance mom who is lacking any sort of dance skills herself, I also appreciated the world that was built around these characters. London was vivid and detailed in her writing. The plot itself flowed beautifully, and I could easily picture each scene in my head. Strife, courage, strength, and devotion were just a few aspects of Remi and Wes's journey to a happily-ever-after. There was a wonderfully delicious push and pull between these two that burned with sexual tension and suppressed feelings. I adored seeing them each conquer their inner demons and grow into a dazzling team. Best friends Darcy and Annie show up for some support and contention, while other supporting characters from the show add humor and drama to the plot.

While I didn't find Bad Reputation as explosive as the first book in the series, I enjoyed it none-the-less. I definitely recommend reading this series in order so that you can know the history of some of the supporting characters, as well as the origin of the Bad Bachelors app. And while I don't care for Annie's character at the moment, I am looking forward to reading her story that is coming next spring. I have feeling that she just may win me over by the end.

The whole premise of the series is there is an app that exists that allows women to post “reviews” of the men they have dated. It worked well for me in the first book. As someone who has spent time on dating apps this sounds slightly appealing. But I also know how dangerous it could be and therefore okay if it just stays as an idea in fiction. Okay so back to this book. So the comments that are being left about the hero, Wes, all pertain to the extraordinary size of his penis. It felt a little squicky.
The heroine, Remi, is a sort of retired ballerina. Wes is starting a new off-off broadway show and needs a ballerina. They meet. He’s intrigued. He wants her to be his ballerina. She’s reluctant. Some dialogue about how much they want each other and the sizzling chemistry. But I wasn’t picking up on it. And with the squickiness about his large penis being the set up for some sort of conflict, I decided it was best to declare this book a DNF.

I loved it. Couldn’t put it down. It was just like the pages turned themselves. The characters are great, the chemistry is so hot and has such a fabulous plot to this story. Was well written which knew it would be as it isn’t Stefanie London book after all :-) it has humour, drama and a fantastic ending that I definitely be reading it all over again. Totally recommend to all book lovers out there and definitely can’t wait for the next book to come out.

I adored this book. Fair warning - it does get fairly technical into ballet and dance jargon. I loved every second of it but if you don't like reading about tendus and turnout, well, you've been warned. I love that Stefanie clearly either is/was a dancer, is close with dancers, or REALLY did her research. (Ballet dancer feet are NOT pretty feet...) This book reminded me a lot of the movie Center Stage (in a good way), what with the ballerina with an inner fire being thrust into an unconventional role and the push-pull of the will-they/won't-they relationship between the dancer and director.

I really liked Remi and Wes, and Remi's parents were fun (though distant) side characters. I feel like I didn't get much of a feel for most of the side characters, who mostly fell a little flat (except Wes' mom and his niece Frankie). I kept getting Wes' sister and her husband mixed up with Remi's friend Darcy and her boyfriend, because none of them had very much personality (or very large roles, which could have had something to do with it too). The tension throughout is awesome, and this is definitely a hot, slow burn.

This is the second book in the Bad Bachelors series, and while it can be read as a stand alone without missing any key information, there are A LOT of spoilers for the first book in the series, Bad Bachelor. If that matters to you, definitely read book 1 first so you don't spoil the plot for yourself. Plus, Darcy (heroine in book 1) is a LIBRARIAN!! I'm sure going to go read it now, and I can't wait for Annie's book, which I assume will be the next in the series.

Remi Drysdale, and I won’t spoil what “Remi” is short for, comes from the world of ballet. It is her first love. When professional and personal scandal ruin her career, she flees her home in Australia for New York City. She makes friends with librarian Darcy Greer (Bad Bachelor) and Annie who help and support her as she begins life anew. Remi keeps her strength and flexibility up by teaching barre exercise classes. She uses the exercise studio to dance on her own time. It’s an uncomplicated life, but one that falls short of her ballet dreams.

Unlike Reed McMahon from the first book in the Bad Bachelors Series, main character Wes Evans does not have a bad reputation. In fact, the women of New York are singing his praises all over the controversial Bad Bachelors app. He’s described at being the kind of date and lover to which all others will be compared. It doesn’t hurt that he’s so well-endowed that he gets nicknamed “The Anaconda.” That is the heaviest snake in the world and the second longest just behind the reticulated python—in case you were wondering. The problem is that Wes works in the ultra-traditional, conservative ballet world. He comes from one of ballet’s most elite families. Wes has made the brave and terrifying decision to strike out on his own, producing and directing his own, non-traditional dance production. His investors don’t like that his sex-life, good or bad, is being talked about all over Manhattan. In his case, not all publicity is good publicity.

When Wes meets Remi, sparks fly from the moment they make eye contact. When he casts Remi as the lead in his new production, the stage is set for new scandal, a scandal that neither of their careers can sustain. London has multiple layers of plot and conflict within Bad Reputation, but my favorite inclusion was the input of Remi and Wes’ respective mothers. One is hippie sweet and the other is cold and calculating. Both are a problem for the couple and the production. Both are wonderful in their own way. London also produces an actual “bad guy” in this story that I wanted to slap silly.

The ending is a little lack-luster, but it’s very sweet and puts a satisfying bow on the whole package. Overall, I very much enjoyed this read.

The third book will, by default, focus on the third friend in this trio, Annie. Annie’s character has been the least present in the first two books, but the most controversial. I’m anxious to see how the Bad Bachelors app will affect her storyline. I hope London does something really spectacular with her book to wrap up the trilogy.

My Rating: B+ Liked It A Lot

Bad Reputation is the second book in the Bad Bachelors series, which revolves around a dating review app a la the former DontDateHimGirl.com. I recommend reading these books in order so you have the backstory on the app, its creator, and the circle of female friends serving as our heroines. Note: This review may contains spoilers for the first book, Bad Bachelor, so proceed at your own risk.

Our hero is Wes Evans, dubbed The Anaconda on the Bad Bachelors app. Unlike our first hero, Reed McMahon, Wes' reviews are largely positive, but very sexual in nature. Initially, he doesn't heed his own objectification and stays above it all. But when it starts to have an impact on his business, a fledgling Off-Broadway show, Wes' life becomes infinitely more complicated. I thought Wes was a great hero. He was a nice guy with a unique profession, yet he didn't seem overly arrogant or snobby. I appreciated his desire to break away from his family and make it on his own. He had great work ethic, and was willing to risk everything to see his dream to fruition. Well, almost everything.

Our heroine is Remi Drysdale, a ballerina that fled to New York after ballet and relationship drama in her home country of Australia. The whole situation shook Remi's confidence and she seems to have been hiding from her aspirations for a few years. But she gets the chance of a lifetime with Wes' show, if she only has the courage to get out of her head and get back into dance. Remi was a pretty good heroine. She also worked hard, but she tended to panic and hold herself back. Luckily, Wes was very good at getting her out of her head, altering her focus, and making her shine. She did have a couple of annoying traits, namely a tendency to run off, which is one of my pet peeves. But overall, she was relatable and didn't push too many annoying heroine buttons.

The relationship between Wes and Remi was slow-building, but not quite a slow burn. The chemistry was there from the beginning, but they agreed to table any romantic interest for the sake of the show. So we see resistance to an entanglement, but more so on the part of Remi than Wes. Once they do get together, they steamed up my kindle screen. I liked that it was just "them" during those times and they seemed to shut out work and the rest of the world.

I still have a huge problem with our secondary character, Annie. She is just a loathsome person and character. I thought she may change a bit after the events of Bad Bachelor, when her app so clearly impacted our hero's life to his detriment. But the Bad Bachelor app is still going strong, and still hurting people in the process. She clearly thought her app was more important than her friendships, even though she acknowledges that not all reviews are done with good intention. So I don't see that her character will ever be redeemed for me, especially given her willingness to sacrifice good men for the sake of her perceived masses.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca. 3.5 stars / 3 flames.

The Bad Bachelor app strikes again! With the second book in the series, we meet a guy who's getting raving reviews about the size of his ... package! He's finding it hard to conduct business and get any respect in the industry when he's the talk of the town. He meets Remi by happenstance, but the second he sees her dance, he sees the potential of a star and will stop at nothing to get her to agree to do his show. Along the way they start to fall for each other though ... and she doesn't have a great history of mixing business with pleasure!

Wes Evans has spent his life living in the shadow of his Broadway royal parents. He is finally taking a chance on himself and stepping out to produce a production of his very own, and wants to make sure it's a success. When he sees a dancer performing off the cuff, he realizes she would be perfect for the lead!

Remi Drysdale has been in New York for a few years now, but after the debacle she made of her life back in Australia, she hasn't trusted herself to shine as a ballerina here. When Wes approaches her about an audition for his show, she's torn. She wants to shine on stage again ... but she's also attracted to him, and if that dating app scandal has any truth to it, she could have an amazing time with him! ... will she decide to take a chance at getting her career back one step at a time?

The Bad Bachelor app has struck once again, and this time it may cost one good man not only his Broadway show’s backing but the love of his life as well.

I had fun with Wes and Remi’s romance. It’s fun and flirty with some major sass, banter and steam added in for good measure. Wes wasn’t looking for romance as he watched Remi dance at the dance studio, he was looking for that unknown, ready to burst into a star level dancer… he just didn’t expect to discover her in a children’s dance studio. Remi has learned the hard way that romance and business should never, ever mix. Now her love of dance and her considerable talent are teaching the younger generation the joy and love that can be expressed through dance. She’s tempted by Wes’ offer but remains determined to keep him at arms length. That didn’t exactly work out as intended as friendship turns to something more… and then that dreaded app struck making Remi’s life go off kilter once again. She has a choice to make – believe in, and trust the man she’s come to love or believe the reviews of vicious strangers up to mischief and jealousy.

Bad Reputation drew me in from the very start and didn’t let go until the final page. If you’re in the mood for a fun, entertaining, spicy and intriguing romance then I’d recommend this story and the series. You’ll enjoy yourself and be looking forward to the next installment of this series. I cannot wait to met up with the app’s creator and see how this chaos gets fixed.

I have read a few books by Stefanie London and Bad Reputation, book 2 in the Bad Bachelor's series, is her best book to date. I was hooked reading Bad Reputation and enjoyed it so much, that I bought & read Bad Bachelor too and I must say I hope there are more books to come in this Bad Bachelor's series! Bad Reputation is magnificently written with an amazing storyline & plot. The steamy scenes are not overly descriptive so I would still characterize it as a sweet but mildly steamy romance! Personally I think Remi is a bit of a weak female lead in the beginning but her backbone seems to be stronger by the end of the book. However, Wes more than makes up for any weakness in Remi character, from Wes' steel rod that's favorably reviewed on N.Y. favorite bachelor rating app, Bad Bachelor to his romantic & sweet book boyfriend worthy side. One-click so you don't miss this 4.5-Star definitely recommended read Bad Reputation!

While the writing style that I expect from Stephanie London was there in a Bad Reputation, the chemistry between the leads was not, in my opinion. Based on the blurb, and Wes’ nickname on the bad bachelor app, I thought this pairing would have been more humorous than they actually were. I don’t like to compare books in series, but I much preferred book one.

4.5***** This book was recommend to me and I'm so glad I read It because it was so enjoyable. Two people struggling with their own demons, their own secrets, can they work through them and do what's right for each of them. This delved into the life of an ex ballet dancer Remi who has been through some tough times and is trying to find out where she is going. Along comes Wes who is trying to prove he can achieve his dream without his families support. Throw in some underhanded tactics from others, some unwanted media attention and trust issues and you have a great romance that kept me engaged throughout.

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a copy in return for an honest review.
