He's a bad boy full of good ideas. She's a good girl that's had a string of bad luck. In a world where reputation is everything, Wes and Remi are about to make some noise in the most delightful of ways. Bad Reputation is deceiving. London grabs attention with a little naughty in the title, but it's the heart that resides inside that is the star of the show. Despite the odds, Remi and Wes refused to quit dreaming and chose to reach for the stars. Resistance is futile when it comes to matters of the heart.

Our first book of August brings us back to the world of Broadway and ballet, a favorite setting and subject of mine in this particular genre. Bad Reputation is actually the second book in the Bad Bachelors series and although I did not read the first book beforehand, I was completely able to immerse myself in the world that Stefanie London created without difficulty. There may have been one slight issue I had due to starting at the second book and I will expand on that below.
Remi was a character you really want to root for. She had difficulty reaching her dreams in the past and that makes her skittish in trying to pursue a career in ballet when she comes stateside from Australia. Through her struggles, she maintains a sense of resiliency that I really grew to love. She wasn't a pushover or a fragile doormat, and I liked that she followed her heart in a number of different scenarios in the book.
Wes was just ok for me. There wasn't anything terribly off-putting about him, but he didn't shine extremely bright for a love interest. He had charisma and was a smooth talker, and he pushed Remi to be the best version of herself that she could be....all good things. But I guess I didn't really see him as anything outside of his role as the love interest. No other aspects of his life are explored and it made him a bit one-dimensional.
Even if one of the characters fell a little flat for me, the author excelled at creating a swoon-worthy romance full of chemistry and passion between Remi and Wes. Yep. So good.
So back to that one small issue. Maybe if I would have read the first book I would have learned more about the supporting characters and probably liked them more than I did by just reading this one book. And by supporting characters I really only mean Annie. I just could not bring myself to like her even a little bit. Both relationships in this series have been greatly impacted by something she created and the repercussions both Wes and Reed faced because of it caused such negative outcomes on their lives. She may have felt like what she was doing was for the greater good, but to me, she just seemed like such a shitty friend.
Overall, I thought Bad Reputation was a worthy pick to join my other Broadway ballet romance favorites. Will I read the next book in the series? Probably not if it features Annie. But I may pick up the first book in the series and see if my feelings toward her change.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough comedy & sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I liked the first book in this series a bit more even though I did like Remi and Wes as characters. I just found the library setting a bit more personally appealing than the ballet. If you like contemporary romance set in NYC, this is a good one to add to the TBR :)

A great read! It’s fun, heartwarming and sexy read. I was hooked from the beginning with its engaging storyline. I loved the characters. I enjoyed the connection and banter. The chemistry is sizzling and steamy. It’s an entertaining read that is not to be missed. A great addition to the series and looking forward to reading more.

5 AMAZING STARS!! Amazing Story!! This author weaves the most beautiful and perfect stories together, that you never want to end. Wes and Remi's story will hit all your emotion buttons and have you dying for more. These two characters are likeable and perfect together. I am so glad I read this book and i know you will be too.

In an effort to break away from his well known parents, Wes Evans puts into motion an out of the ordinary idea. Wes and his friend have come up with an Off-Broadway production that involves the crowd. It's lively, new age, AND on a very limited budget. Wes has managed to convince dancers of varying abilities to dance in his production, but he has yet to cast the lead....
Remi, former ballet dancer, teaches various dance classes at her friends studios. While she enjoys teaching, her real dream is to become a premier ballerina with a major dance company. Remi left Australia and moved to NYC with high hopes. After two disasterous auditions, self-doubt, and a past she can't seem to put behind her Remi decides to "take a break". Hence, teaching dance. It's during one of her parent-child dance classes that she first meets Wes. Wes knows he's found his lead when he returns to the studio to find Remi dancing before class. When Wes offers Remi the lead, she thinks he's joking. After promising to keep things professional, Remi accepts.
Between Wes' mom's "sabotage", reviews on the Bad Bachelor's app, funding issues, Remi's self-doubt, and a jealous ballerina, the Off-Broadway production seems doomed to fail. This novel is a truly enjoyable read. I LOVED Remi's witty banter! The chemistry between Wes and Remi was off the charts. I also liked the twist of having good reviews work against you! Wes' journey to become someone not tied to his family's name or fortune was admirable. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

This being the second book in this series, I was surprised I liked it as well as the first. This time social media is affecting a man trying to get off-broadway production off the ground. The post starts to affect the people who are financially supporting the show. Then after hiring a lead dancer things go too far and they affect everything.

Well this is a new author for me and even this is not the first book in the series I loved it.
Remi and Wes are very interesting characters to read and very easy to fall in love with their story and enjoy the reading that has a nice flow. I just finished reading and it passed midnight and I will be grumpy in the morning but who cares, I finished the book that kept me until I saw the end!
Stefanie London didn't disappoint and can't wait to see what will bring us next.

Wes Evans has decided it's time to start living his dreams instead of doing what his parents wants him to do. However, finding the right person to be the star of his show and getting his show launched isn't as easy as he thought it would be until he meets Remi Drysdale and asks her to audition. Since clearly, she's the best woman for the lead role. Will Wes and Remi be able to work together and get their shot at happy ever after or will Remi walk away before history has a chance to repeat itself?
Ms. London writes such incredible books with great characters, dialogue that always manages to draw me in from the very beginning and offers a wonderful combination of intense moments, playful banter and plenty of passion; and a fast-paced plot that encompasses tough obstacles for the hero and heroine to overcome in order to achieve their happy ever after and this story was no different. Really, the way this story started had me smiling immediately because of the conversation that sounds juicy, but turns out to be quite innocent. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time where things really take off for this story, as Remi doesn't trust easily and doesn't know whether giving Wes a chance is the right thing to do, especially with everything she's been through in her past. She's been burned badly before.
As for the dialogue, it was compelling, intense and emotionally-animating due to the main characters back stories and what's happening to Wes because of the Bad Bachelor app. However, there's also the situation with Remi's friends that had me sympathizing with her too, because of the secret they're keeping that makes her think she's not trustworthy enough to know. Will her friends put their trust in her or will their friendship be broken? Moreover, I liked the heroine's resilience, her courageousness and that she took a chance on the hero, even though history could easily repeat itself, if she gets involved with the hero and things don't work for the best between them. While the hero, he's confident, driven, persistent in his pursuit of the heroine and I liked how he handles what's going on when it comes to the Bad Bachelor app. Then again, I was a little impressed by the comments for him on the site, especially since the app dubs him 'The Anaconda'.
Overall, Ms. London has delivered an utterly engaging and memorable read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance was tangible and absolutely hot; and the ending had me loving the hero's determination to show Remi that he has her back always and isn't about to let anything come between them. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly because the heroine's hard work pays off. Really, through the author's words she soars and shines when it comes to her ballet. I would recommend Bad Reputation by Ms. London, if you enjoy the opposites attract trope or books by authors Cat Carmine, Noelle Adams, Pippa Grant and Sarina Bowen. I would also recommend this series, as the Bad Bachelor app is very interesting and doesn't shine the heroes in the best of lights, but in the end, it's absolutely delightful that the heroines see them as much, much more than just an abysmal profile.

I loved the first book in Stefanie London's series, so when Bad Reputation came out I jumped on it. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book, but it was great seeing old friends, and I adored Remi.
Remi has a past as a ballerina but she gave it up and is trying to be happy teaching dance in a studio. Something isn't cutting it, however, and when an opportunity to dance as a ballerina again comes up she takes the risk. Wes is the new star bachelor on the Bad Bachelor app, and it's a good one! He's the John Hamm of the Broadway world and it's kind of all everyone can talk about. He wants to step past that as well as step out of his parents' shadow. He's taking his own act to off Broadway and hoping for the best.
I really enjoyed these two together. Remi would have gone for Wes in her new life, but she really doesn't want to get dragged into her previous world. Wes is persistent and hit all the right notes in bringing Remi from her past. I'm looking forward to the next in this series.

So Bad Reputation is part of the "Bad Bachelor's" series which sorta centers around an app. And yes, it's called the Bad Bachelor's.
In this story the "Bachelor" is named "The Anaconda" Wes. And our heroine is An Aussie named Remi.
Without giving to much away, but this story reminded me very much of the movie Center Stage.
And I'm not saying it's just like it but it gave me that feeling . A good feeling.

Stefanie London's Bad Reputation was wonderful. Reading this made me feel like I was getting a backstage view at professional dancers and Broadway.

The second installment of the Bad Bachelor series brings havoc for another NY bachelor and some ethical questions of a dating app gone awry. Wes Evans is behind the eight ball when he needs to cast the main female lead in his off-Broadway dance production and is looking for that diamond in the rough. When he takes his young niece to a barre class he meets instructor Remi Drysdale and is intrigued and wants her for his show when he watches her dance beautifully. Remi knows not to mix business with pleasure since she was kicked out of the Australian ballet company, when she feels an attraction for Wes. When she is given this new opportunity, she is going to do her best to make the most of it and put dance first. However, this attraction between Wes and Remi just keeps getting stronger and harder to deny. When a jealousy rears its ugly head, it creates more problems for these two and hard decisions have to be made. Both need to decide if their career choices should come first and at what cost to their personal life. Friendships will be tested and lines in the sand are drawn for both Wes and Remi. The author delves deep into these characters and I feel their struggles that each are having to deal with and how they overcome their problems. With an intriguing cast of secondary characters this contemporary romance hits all the marks on conflict, resolution and triumphs. What might have started out with good intentions, the dating app and its reviews caused more headaches for Wes and Remi and makes me wonder how it will all play out with its creator in the future. Stefanie London has created an interesting over-arcing series theme and I look forward to the next installment. I really liked this story and felt it was an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this book in the Bad Bachelors series. This time we meet Remi, an Australian ballerina now living in New York City, and Wes, son of ballet royalty and first time ballet-playwright. Wes meets Remi when he takes his niece to her ballet class and Remi is her teacher, Wes is instantly attracted to Remi and even more so when he walks into her classroom while she is practicing on her own time. When he sees her dance he realizes she is what he is looking for for the ballet he is putting on. There is an instant attraction between the two but they deny it because he needs her in his ballet and she needs to keep work and a relationship separate because of what happened in her past.
Of course they can’t deny their attraction for long but unfortunately in ballet everyone is out for the selves and someone finds out about their relationship and uses it against Wes.
Remi does find out who is running the bad bachelor app and is not happy to have been kept out of the loop. Because Wes’s dating history is being splashed all over the app (even though it is all VERY positive) Remi was hoping to get her friend’s help in taking some posts down.
I like how the book ended for Remi and Wes. I also like how Remi was able to use the Bad Bachelor app for good and actually help out Wes.

The heroine in this book is an Aussie (like me) in New York (I wish) teaching at a dancing school. Our hero is putting together a crazy new-age ballet production and is looking for his star when he sees his niece’s teacher dancing with a passion that has him ensnared. It is totally lust at first sight for both of them but they choose to put business first when he casts her as the lead in his production but the lust doesn’t disappear.
.
I love the journey that the heroine has to go through to learn to accept herself and go after her dreams of being a ballet dancer after past trauma and putting her career on hold for 4 years. She had self doubt but still passion and it felt real. As for the hero, the side story about a dating rating app had me giggling a bit and I want to read the other books in series (which are all linked because of the app).

Oh man, I just loved this book. Can I simply leave my review at that? Bad Bachelor was such a pleasant surprise for me earlier this year. I thought it would be more of a romantic comedy, but it surprised me by bringing forward not only an entertaining romance but also thought-provoking discussions about the state of social media. Finding out that Bad Reputation was set in the theater/ballet world just about sealed the deal for me and I was giddy with excitement. This book delivered on every front and I know I'm going to have the hardest time pointing out why exactly this book resonated with me.
Well, first of all, these characters were just amazing. They were brilliantly fleshed-out, so much so that they felt like actual people I knew in my real life. Not only did they have relatable issues, but they were beyond likable. Remi Drysdale used to dream of being a ballerina with a promising career. However, a shoddy experience left her fleeing her home of Melbourne to NYC, where she, unfortunately, fails to impress at auditions. As a result, she took up teaching barre at a studio, which is where she meets Wes. Remi was obviously a woman with a ton of passion, creativity, and willpower and that showed all throughout Bad Reputation. She was also someone with vulnerabilities and at times, someone who lacked confidence in herself. Her return to the ballet world does slowly bring back her courage in herself and her determination in achieving her dreams, but it wasn't easy. I may not be a ballerina, but I related a lot to what Remi was going through. I think a lot of us have gone through something similar in our lives and it was lovely to see that translated on page here.
The hero, Wes, was dealing with his own struggles. He came from a Broadway family but was venturing out on his own with plans for a new unique production. Unfortunately for him, the Bad Bachelor app was being flooded with reviews about his sex life and his well-endowed self. As a result, he had investors backing out. Wes was another charming character from Stefanie London for me. Yes, he had these obstacles facing him and the show, but he was absolutely determined to make his dance production a hit. He was hardworking, honest and absolutely genuine. And what a good guy he was.
Wes and Remi had instant chemistry. Their very first scene highlighted just how good they were together, but when Wes asks her to be the lead of his new show, they decide to not follow through with any relationship. Remi and Wes tried their hardest to stay away from each other, but in the end, their mutual attraction was too strong. I loved them together. The witty banter, the comfort-level they shared and all the swoony dialogues had the romance-nerd in my incredibly pleased. The progression of their romance was one of the best I have ever read and I think every romance reader is going to appreciate the passion and the emotions between these two. Besides the characters, I also thought the theater setting only served to set this book apart from other romance novels. The setting was as much of a part of the story as the characters and London does a beautiful job of bringing it to life. As with the first book, Stefanie London also touched on the pros and cons of the Bad Bachelor app, with social commentary. I appreciated how she was able to show how social media could have many advantages, but also many disadvantages. She did a wonderful job of depicting the female friendship between Remi, Annie, and Darcy. These girls were close and supportive friends, but in Bad Reputation, we see some cracks in their relationship that Annie is going to have to work hard to fix in the next book.
Bad Reputation was a passionate and romantic book with an outstanding setting. I can't recommend this book and this series enough. It's a series that many romance fans will enjoy, so give this one a shot.

A great read as the Bad Bachelor app wreaks havoc on another unsuspecting bachelor. This time the target seems to be Wes "the anaconda" Evans. Working hard to get his new broadway show off the ground Wes has no time to worry about the silly app. Finding the perfect ballerina for his show is his latest objective. When he sees Remi Drysdale in a kid's ballet class he knows his search is over. Now to convince her to give the show and possibly him a chance. Then those reviews cost him a show backer and his worries start all over again.
Great read and one I highly recommend.

Sultry, emotive, and intriguing!
Bad Reputation is a humorous, alluring tale that combines the hardworking, handsome, well-hung, Wes with the beautiful, wary, dancer extraordinaire, Remi in a push-pull storyline filled with friendship, gossip, romance, seduction, jealousy, family drama, smoking tension, racy banter, witty dialogue, and sizzling chemistry.
The writing is spicy and fun. The supporting characters are gregarious, amusing, and likable. And the plot is a charming and engaging ride as it takes you from the enjoyment and challenges of making a Broadway show to the moments, mishaps, and heart breaks of the past to a heartwarming ending that leaves you with a smile.
Bad Reputation is another fantastic addition to the Bad Bachelor series, and I can't wait to read about whose life the Bad Bachelor app turns upside down next.

This series is awesome! I fell in love with both Remi and Wes and enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and deepen. Ms. London’s use of foreshadowing was excellent and had me turning the pages as the inevitable came barreling toward them. I wasn’t sure how she was going to pull it out and I couldn’t book it down until I read to the end.
As much as I loved Bad Reputation, I confess Bad Bachelor is still my favorite. But I can’t wait for Annie’s story. I want to know what happened to cause her to create this app that’s causing so much trouble.
