The book was interesting. Keeping you wondering at the intregue and mystery. Got mixed up with characters and had to go back to reiterate who they were, felt this could have been handled better. But apart from that it was an enjoyable book.

Colleen Coble's THE HOUSE AT SALTWATER POINT is a fast paced thrilling adventure that will keep you up late to find out whodunit. I was given a pre-release galley to read in exchange for an honest review.

Ellie is a house flipper who really knows her stuff when it comes to houses and family, but when the police, FBI and unknown attackers keep accusing her sister of theft, drug dealing and terrorist activity she refuses to believe it. To add insult to injury, they also tell her she's dead, but Ellie doesn't believe that either and intends to find her and exonerate her.

Grayson is a FBI agent sent to find and deliver Ellie's sister and is convinced to woman is guilty of all the accusations levelled against her and that the woman wound up dead. He's supposed to be grilling Ellie for any and all details but he's finding it difficult to remain indifferent to Ellie's resolve.

Secrets abound and not only with regard to drug trafficking and terrorist activity. Dead bodies show up, but not Ellie's sister's body. Ellie is being targeted by unsavory characters and Grayson discovers a shocking truth about himself.

Compelling adventure with a touch of romance, THE HOUSE AT SALTWATER POINT is a great read.

There is a sweet love story and a mystery to solve in Saltwater Bay. "Hammer Girl" and Grayson must sort out the blood stain and a terrorist. I found it a little slow in places but enjoyable.

Very nice suspenseful romance. The mystery kept me guessing right until the end. The romance was slow and sweet and lovely. Looking forward to the next book in the Lavender Tides series.

I had a hard time staying with this one. Usually a huge Colleen Coble fan but this one was just not holding my interest.

I have grown to really like Colleen Coble books. The stories are interesting and flow nicely. There are a lot of characters in this book, which made it confusing at times. I almost didn't get into the book because of a passage that sounded too familiar. I kept reading and realized that it was the same situation, but a different character was highlighted in the story. It seemed to me that Colleen took the scene word for word from the previous book. That's why I thought about putting the book down. I think she could have changed it up a bit. I thought some of the scenes were a bit far fetched. But all in all it is a good read.

this is a page turner of a story, lots of twists and turns, the is a suspenseful story with some romance, you do not know who is the bad guy till near the end. love Gray. I hope there is another book to learn more of the styory.

I loved The House at Saltwater Point. It kept me glued in the from page one right up to the end. I really liked the characters and how they developed nicely in as the story went along. Coble is an excellent writer and this book really showcases that. It combines romance, action and suspense. A wonderful cocktail for an excellent read.

Another great read! More of the author’s trademark suspense. We have new characters but have some of the originals also. Ellie’s long lost brother is found and he is a Coast Guard investigator. Grayson also learns that he has a very close personal connection to the Lavender Tides area from his past. Will he be able to overcome the shocking truth of his past, and be able to solve the truth about Ellie's sister? Ellie decides if she wants the truth about her sister, she must work with Grayson instead of trying to prove his accusations wrong.

Another great suspense from Colleen Coble! There are just enough characters involved to keep you guessing who is trying to help Ellie and Grayson, and who is trying to silence them. There were definitely some surprises along the way!

Overall, I enjoyed the book more than not, but I agree with some other reviewers that the large number of characters could be confusing at times. It also seemed like the pursuit and discovery of clues to solve the many mysteries was just a bit too conveniently easy. The most annoying thing, though, was a sense of incompleteness with two plot elements that were introduced but left completely unresolved. I don't want to give anything away, but these two points involve an earthquake, and resolution of a situation surrounding a missing child. Perhaps the latter question will be resolved in the next book in the series, but an alert editor should have caught the earthquake element and insisted it be taken care of, either by taking out the "What the...???!" moment altogether, or answering it somewhere before the end of the book. This is fiction. All the loose ends are supposed to be neatly tied up before the last page.

It should also be noted that this book is very light on exploring the elements of the Christian faith of some of the characters. If a reader is looking for a more in-depth exploration of this, or walking with a character through a crisis of faith, this is not the book for that. In fact, the mentions of God are so few and far between, I had to double check to see that this book does indeed come from a Christian publishing house, and it would take very little revision to make this book completely secular. I only say this to alert future readers who may prefer, again, a more in-depth exploration of the role of faith in the life of the characters.

Coble is truly a gifted author. I was immediately immersed within the book, the characters and the plot. It is a solidly written romantic suspense book. As usual with a Coble book, there are many characters and many layers to each character to learn about, remember and even catch up with some old ones from some of her previous books.

That all said, I am truly struggling to review this book. I was hooked from the first page, but I am not sure why now as I stop and reflect on the book. It was exaggerated and unrealistic. Coble had me hooked from the first page. I enjoyed the premise, but I feel like much was left out of the story while at the same time to much fluff was in the book.
The finding of Shauna’s brother was just too neat. Grayson didn’t struggle much with finding out he was adopted as a toddler and never told by his parents. Seriously?? I don’t understand the adding of the cat Mia. What was the point? North Korean terrorists leaving multiple potential witnesses alive to escape is ridiculous.
Colleen Coble is undoubtedly a talented author but this book is just outlandish. A few examples include an earthquake kills a mother, a stolen baby, a toddler adopted and never told, an absent father, a jealous sister who hooks up with a terrorist. The FBI and the Coast Guard can’t find the terrorist; however, a college professor who is in her early 20’s(really?) and her house flipping sister save the day. It all just such a big stretch, yet I finished it and liked it until I stopped to think about it and write this review.
In all, I can see the appeal and enjoyment, this book will give to a great many people.

Set against the backdrop of a picturesque harbor and surrounding lavender fields and forests, "The House at Saltwater Point" is a rich tale of suspense, mystery, drama, family and love. Families shattered, families trying to come together, a possible terrorist plot, a stolen cache of drugs, a missing (and presumed dead) sister - all of these threads come together in a story that pulls you in and keeps you interested in how it resolves. The characters in the story are filled with depth and emotion beyond what you typically find in a suspense/thriller - Colleen Coble writes so that you are pulled into the characters and their stories...not just rushing to solve the mystery.

This is the second book in the Lavender Tides series - while I believe you could read this as a standalone book, I'm glad I sought out the first book in the series before diving into this one - it was probably a richer reading experience with that background. I look forward to what the third book in this series will hold.

This is the 2nd book in this series and I did not read the first book so I am wondering if i had read the first one, if I could've followed this story a little better than I did. I found there to be quite a few different characters to keep track of so for that reason, I was getting very confused and I could not connect to the characters as much as I had wanted to. There was some good suspense leading up to the end of the story and it did hold my interest. I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for an honest review. Ellie's sister Mac is missing. Copious amounts of her blood was found at the crime scene yet Ellie still believes she may be alive. She meets Grayson an investigator who is looking at her sister in relation to a cocaine bust. Nothing is making sense to Ellie as she is so sure that Mac would never get involved with anything to do with drugs.

So much happens in this book and the story gets entertainingly complicated. A great second book in the Lavender Tides series and I can't wait to read the 3rd installment.

Once again Colleen Coble has served up a great suspense with The House at Saltwater Point. This book is well written great plot and characters. I loved the setting. I could not put this book down, just had to keep reading. I look forward to reading many more of this author's books.

The House At Saltwater Point has a large cast of characters and I think a list of characters at the beginning of the story would help first time readers. I will admit I mixed up a few Characters and who they were and related too. Readers are even introduced to long lost brothers who are found along with a possible sister.

Ellie is ever day woman who is flipping house and trying to balance family and co worker. When things take a turn for the worst everything moves so fast readers will be reading late into the night to figure out who the killer is.

Colleen Coble gives readers a more natural ending to the story that will leave readers satisfied.
