Cute, up,firing, and an overall fun read.

I'm going to be looking for more books from Colleen Coleman from now on. It was nice to read about such a smart, independent, and kind female lead like Katie. Rare to find nowadays where you find most women's fiction leads acting clueless or letting a relationship takeover their life.

If you like food, cooking, and fun stories give this a shot. I stayed up until 3am reading this book as I found myself unable to put it down :)

I loved this book - a classic Colleen Coleman where the heroine resonates with real life and the characters ring true. I loved the relationships between Katie and her friends at the nursing home - and with resident Martha. The whole book reminded me that you have to follow your dreams and live a little... A fast, enjoyable and delicious read!

This is another author whose previous books I will definitely be adding to my ever growing to be read pile having now read one of their books.

One of my loves in life is food. So what better book to read than one about someone who wants to make it as a chef? I love programmes like Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef and if you do also, then you are going to adore this book. 

We first meet Katie in her job in a retirement home. Katie obviously wants more in her working life than cooking for people in there. She is not allowed to experiment and constantly has the supervisor on her back for trying to improve the meals. I could really feel Katie's frustration. It's only due to some of the other staff as well as some of the lovely residents, especially Martha, that she sticks it out. 

The relationship between Martha and Katie was so lovely to read. It really makes for some emotional reading and I could feel my eyes filling up more than a few times. For me their friendship was the icing on the cake that just complemented the storyline perfectly.

When Katie gets chosen as one of the finalists in the competition for a chance to work alongside a Michelin star chef, well things certainly start to heat up and I couldn't turn the pages quick enough to see who was going to come out on top.

One Way Or Another is so much more than a romance book. It is very much about following your dreams and never giving up. It truly is a fabulously light hearted and entertaining read that will have you bubbling with emotions. It was so wonderful that I read it in one sitting as the authors writing just captivated me and I couldn't put it down. Would love to see more of Katie and Ben in the future.
